Been using this cleaner for a few years and they were great till they kept getting everything wrong. My clothing is dyed from the wash and none of my instructions were followed.

The owner doesn't apologize or have any empathy. Not returning and taking my business somewhere else.

Used to be good. But I do not recommend having alterations done here. Took three pair of slacks in to be hemmed and one was not fully hemmed and another had the stitching come out. Poor Job on the other pairs. Expensive to start but they wanted another $17 per pair to fix the problems they caused. Over $40 per pair of slacks to simply hem them. This is not to mention they have lost my dry cleaning twice. Use at your own risk.

Warning. Mr Anthony's will lose your dry cleaning (sent me somebody else's twice) and damage your clothing (wash and fold vs. dry cleaning). Do not use!

Worst spot in the city. Botched jobs, late work, and overpriced.

To give you an idea of what overpriced is, it's over $125 to hem to bottom of a dress.

Botched would be the uneven tuxedo pants.

Late would be dry cleaning take days.

Do yourself a favor and just go to any of the other spots next door, even if you took a Uber to a tailor on Queens, your dress would still cost less to Hem and would look nicer.

I was a years long customer of Mr. Anthonys. My dress shirts and suit jackets were coming back with just a wire hanger, never any padding on the edges of the hanger. I have never dealt with this from a dry cleaner, it stretches and damages the clothes. I literally gave them 10 chances and every time they promised they would put padding on the hanger for suit jackets and dress shirts (not too much to ask for). Tonight, I get my dry cleaning and there is a thin wire hanger in my suit jacket with no padding. Horrible, I have never dealt with a business that cared so little about customer satisfaction. I will NEVER use them again. This a very basic way to care for the clothes and they simply refuse to do it. They've lost a couple of shirts over the years, but I figure every dry cleaner does that. They used to be good and have just gotten awful since the pandemic. I'm done and I recommend you stay away.

Used mr Anthony's cleaners for a wedding dress dry cleaning after our wedding. Initially it came out well, and we were happy. However, after several weeks, the dress began to turn yellow/brown. Upon doing some research online, apparently if cleaners do not use the correct solvent, it can cause delicate fabrics (like in wedding dresses) to oxidize. Upon bringing this up with the owner, he immediately launched into an aggressive assault on us saying that we should have brought it up sooner (although the process of oxidation took weeks and we had no way of knowing this could have happened) and that he was not in any kind of wrong doing. Ruining my wife's wedding dress, along with the lack of professionalism to add on top of that, I cannot recommend anyone to ever come here for any kind of business, let alone for a wedding dress.

DONT GO HERE YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY
If I could give zero stars I would. I took my jacket in for repair and it ripped after they were done I have to go to another tailor to fix the mess they made on my jacket. I should not have been charged at all. When I went to the dry cleaners and brought up the problem the person dismissed me with a hand signal and said "No more" and opened the door as if to kick me out. I basically paid for my expensive fur jacket to get ripped. I hope my jacket can get fixed!!!!

Not good for expensive shirts. They destroyed the top buttons of more than half a dozen of my Eton shirts.

I moved to the area recently and decided to give them a try after our doorman mentioned them. Ran into the above issue after first try. When I asked them why this was happening they said that it had to do with the "high temperature press" they were using for regular washes. They recommended that I try dry cleaning instead. Having never had this issue before, I thought it was strange but decided to give them another try.

Not only did they continue to break the top buttons (and now charge $8 a shirt for it!), they completely butchered the replacement buttons as well, replacing large blue buttons with small black buttons etc. Total amateur hour.

      Save your shirts. Avoid.

I had such a bad experience dealing with this dry cleaners. I wished I'd read the reviews before I gave them my fur jacket for cold storage. I brought my jacket in a garment bag and left it with them. In Oct. I went in and asked to get my jacket back and was told it would take 2 weeks. I returned in a little over 2 wks. on a Mon. and they told me it would be ready for pickup on Wed., 2 days later. I arrived to pick it up on Wed. and was told it wasn't there!! I really needed it that evening as I had an occasion the next day. All I got was several "sorries" which by the way I'd heard him say to the customer before me! He never understood the idea that I really wanted to wear it to that particular occasion. He just said, "I know. It's getting colder." I was so upset. I went back the next day and they told me it would be in later on. I picked it up and there was no garment bag! I was told they would've written on the ticket that I'd left one with them. Well, they hadn't! At the very least they should have made some sort of compensation for the aggravation they caused. So...if you're counting on your fur to be ready when they say......Not professional as far as I' m concerned!!! Lesson...read reviews before you deal with a business. They're usually accurate.

Surprised they have been open for this long. Would recommend going to better alternatives in the neighborhood. First they did not deliver when they were scheduled to, so I had to go pick it up. Second, they charged me a price when I was there to make an alteration then said the lady that speaks no english misunderstood and thought it was to change only part of the dress (so that it would look uneven) and it would be double the price. The person that was translating said at first yes we were supposed to change both then lied and said oh no just one- which makes no sense- 1. why would I have a designer dress with two different straps, 2. they didn't even changed the one that was torn.

As I can see from previous reviews this was not the first time they tried to pull these scheme.

Don't waste your time with this place. There are a lot better options in the area one just a block away on 22nd street and 1st Ave. Plus its a super friendly and competent staff!
