Edit of initial review:
If you're coming here for an emergency arrive by ambulance. You may get a bed- it's iffy. This is the worst hospital I have ever been in. After being in intensive care , starting on thanksgiving, I flew all the way from Orlando Florida with all of my images and medical records from an instensive care room-so I could have needed brain and lung surgery at home. They have ignored my recorded and scans given me Tylenol and after I begged-stuck me in a chair so that I can be in a slightly darker area - not room, because that have none.
I cannot tress this enough- Do not use this hospital for walk in emergency.
If you have a life threatening condition, 90% of the staff has your back. As in all places, compassion is preset with those that have been taught it- the rest, not so much.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris A.Las Vegas, NV0446Feb 9, 2024
Was taken here for a reaction to the Co V V A C
They weren't able to find anything and they strapped me down because they thought I was crazy and gave me anxiety medication. It is absolutely insane in this emergency room and having been sent to every hospital in LasVegas with the exception of saint rose I have marked this one as the absolute worst.
I was also laughed at and mocked by the EMTS / Paramedics who picked me up. None of them are good people, they just passed school.
I have now developed
1.) Penile Thrombosis AKA penile BloodClots
2.) Pudendal Neuralgia
3.) Varicoceles In both testicles
4.) Undiagnosed Heart Condition
5.) Bodily Inflammation ( Groin Area mostly )
6.) Atherosclerosis ( Clogged Arteries )
I work in a doctors office now and am going to school to become a Doctor. I've been to meetings and seen what goes on behind the scenes.
This is a money making business and they are not here to get you better.
They treated me like garbage and may the laws of the universe come into play with everyone at this hospital, AMEN.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 72786443Dec 31, 2023
This is based on my ER visit a few months ago.
Mountain View is crowded and busy with varying degrees of employee attentiveness. The receptionists were helpful, but the intake nurse not at all.
Masking is inconsistent which is absolutely mind-boggling. The phlebotomist taking a sample said she "didn't know if they had any," even after learning I'm a cancer patient. The nurse processing me for dismissal actually reached and tried to take off my mask without my permission!
All in all, it was a lengthy and uncomfortable experience. Most of the medical staff seems more concerned with chatting about frequent fliers and the nachos in the break room. Orderlies were very polite but overwhelmed as the place is quite grimy.
Will likely go elsewhere the next time I need care.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mini S.Los Angeles, CA1210Apr 11, 2024
First thing you see at nurses station is a row of computer monitors taller than the nurses sitting there , hiding the nurses. All of them hide behind those monitors willingly and happily. As we tried to speak to nursing staff, it was done by peering eyeballs over top of the screen. No one stands up to have any face to face contact. There is a sense of bother when approaching the nurses station for help or question's. I found myself begging for help and for things needed to make family member comfortable, and apologized a lot just so they would do what was asked. It was gross having to apologize for asking "nurses" at a hospital for help.
My question is, "Why are you a nurse if you don't care?" This place is ADEQUATE AT BEST.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tim J.Northwest, NV, NV07Apr 12, 2024
Staff was very kind, friendly, and quick! The doctor that treated my dad was cool and understanding. His name was Boyer. Definitely deserves a pay raise!

I spent 26 hours in this ER and hospital. I was in this area called CDU? I asked everyone there nurses and doctors what it meant and NOT ONE OF THEM COULD TELL ME! I was there for pancreatitis and stayed in pain for all but 4 hours of the time I was there. They gave me medications of less strength than the ones I took at home. They tried to give me MORPHINE WHICH I AM ALLERGIC TO TWICE! They REFUSED to give me my BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATIONS because they wanted me to have a stroke! I was sitting at 200/120 for nearly 9 hours with a headache so massive that I could not move! The doctors would tell me that I was to only have chipped ice and the nurses would bring in food and different types of drinks...I was floored. I was also told by one nurse that I had no records from the time I was there for this almost 3 years before and a doctor who would tell me I did?! WTF?!?! There is NO COMMUNICATION between the doctors and nurses and the nurses seem to do whatever in the hell they want to! I was there for 23 hours before I got a blanket or pillows and they came only 3 hours before I walked out. If I did not leave, I would have DIED THERE! When I was there the first time, they kept me out of pain but would starve me after the doctor had told them to give me food so they could see if I had any pains so I could go home, they refused and kept giving me ice chips. I told them I was leaving and got the food that was order THE DAY BEFORE right as I was about to leave the room. I only went the second time because the first time they at least kept me out of pain. They tried to do tests I didn't even need and I refused! Had I not kept up with what medicines they were trying to give me, I might have died because of the Morphine. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU WANT TO LIVE! I knew something was up when all of the people in the rooms in this place were screaming and groaning in pain the whole time I was in there. This hospital needs to be investigated by the government! I am filing anything I can to have them investigated and might sue for what they did to me.

Wow! There's some really unpleasant experiences. Maybe I got lucky? Or it's way better than LA? I had a pleasant but long waiting experience. Googled best ER hospital in Vegas. This place popped up. The other one is Sunrise which includes kids. Glad I came here. Wait time is time to get checked in/registered, do blood test, labs etc. Their website will show all ER wait times and the area. The real waiting is after for results to more testing. Staff and nurses are really sweet. Doctors are very calm and nice. All staff are super empathetic. Wish LA staff are anywhere close to this calm and nice. Props to Doctor J.House and my male ultrasound tech for making the wait less miserable!! They make you feel heard/seen, very very calm low tone voice and vibe as though with your therapist.
Came around 9am, tests (blood, urine, ultrasounds, pelvic), left around 2pmish. Main lobby seating area definitely filled up alot more by 11am. Outlets available in the extended lobby area, by some doors with an exit sign above it. Yessss longggg wait, but at least it's spacious from others. Tip: Bring things to make yourself comfortable like a blanket, jacket, water bottles, snacks, phone charger, neck pillow, etc.
Parking: Parking was filled up when I arrived. What was left was an area that requires you to enter the parking lot through Business Park Center.
-------
My 1st Vegas ER experience. Way better than LA. This place is great! They don't offer flu and covid testing unless you are coming in for it. They do have ultrasound, CT, and pelvic exam though. They do take low income insurance/medi-cal from another state too.
Timeline of what happened...
1. 9amish. When you first enter, there is a digital check in area that'll scan your driver's license for info, and ask for top 3 symptoms.
2. It's not crowded. I visited in the morning and I was able to easily sit away from people.
3. You get called in to get registered, explain why you're at the ER, do blood test/etc. Called again to talk to doctor, who was super patient to hear your whole story out. If they need a urine sample, you'll have to figure out in between times to do it.
4. Waiting room: The doctor even walks out to the lobby to personally update you on your lab status, etc and what's next in waiting so not just wondering. Doctor J.House had a super calm, light tone voice.
5 If you're going in and need an ultrasound, that'll take a long time. Maybe an hour or more to wait. The staff was a male, forgot his name but it starts with a T. He was so calm and nice. Really made me feel comfortable. Never did I ever think I would be comfortable with an identified male ultrasound or probing me down there.
6. Pelvic exam. Waited another hour+. But turned out my labs were good so no pelvic exam needed. Doctor J.House talked
Discharged just minutes after. 2pmish.
7. Get a courtesy call a day after called follow up. They try to schedule appt with referred doctors if needed.
Tip: Everytime I go to the ER for myself or someone else, these are things I bring....bag of water bottles, snack, phone charger, and jacket/blanket to keep warm. There are outlets available in certain areas.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 2 - Monika M.Las Vegas, NV212Mar 27, 2024
