Aiden at MAC really saved the vacation for me! My confidence on the snowboard was challenged after my out-dated equipment lead to some falls- and I am just too old for that shit! He hooked me up with some new gear to rent, and then even allowed me to switch it up for ski equipment instead (it was like riding a bike- it all came back to me!). He sold me some goggles as well. Super helpful- this guy really came through on the clutch and I am so thankful for his assistance!!

After I got home from my recent trip I had to replace a tire. MAC had fixed a spoke for me turns out they removed the rim tape and replaced it with duct tape, aside from that it looks like they trashed the rim lip cutting the duct tape to fit. Prior to that i thought they had done us right at least they were polite while they violated me and my bike.

The Mountain Adventure Center (MAC) is perched at the outside entrance to Snowshoe Village, with full access to both snow sports and some of the best mountain bicycling in the nation. During the Summer, the MAC serves as the mountain biking center, renting and selling top-of-the-line mountain bikes and serving as repair shop and retail center for upscale clothing lines such as Burton and Mountain Hardwear. During Winter, the MAC rents top-notch demo skis and awards a rental credit for purchasing the skis. It also stocks top-line safety gear such as goggles and helmets.

I'd award the MAC a 4-star rating. However, in the recent past, I've seen that many of their employees, obviously experts at their trade, treat customers with disdain and lack of courtesy. That's unforgivable in a store that is supposed to be the Snowshoe's Ambassador to the expert and proficient crowd. Twice within the past year, I've brought my skis to the place and been treated as if they were doing me a favor. I'd feel bad if I hadn't seen others being treated the same way. Go figure.

Don't know what the fuss is about. These guys were honest, didn't try to upsell me on service. I gave them 2 boards and told them to do what was needed, that I didn't care about the cost. -They didn't even upcharge me, they just charged for basic tune-ups, and even went beyond that and grinded and ptexed my board. Really cool guys!!!! Don't listen to the BS on here. If they ever gave bad service that was in the past. And you can't complain about costs people, you're at a ski resort, everything is expensive. Don't give a bad review and hurt their business just because they're charging a premium for resort convenience like everyone else up here.

Rented a bike for my husband to play on at the bike park since his was on the wrong side of the country and not due to arrive until after the pre-planned trip. Terrible experience renting bikes through MAC. He did one day on a 50lb free ride bike and the next day on a Specialized demo DH bike. We had lift tickets for a third day but the bikes were so bad he didnt feel like paying another $150 for a clapped out bike. Both rentals were incredibly overpriced for what they were. The bikes themselves were completely thrashed. Both bikes needed a brake bleed and new brake pads. They were both covered in dry mud when he picked them up. The free ride bike had a loose axle and the DH bike fork needed a service. Ive rented bikes at Whistler for cheaper and got better bikes. The employees acted like they hated their jobs and were not very nice. Overall poor experience with this shop and their rentals. Will make sure to have our bikes dialed before going back so we don't have to deal with them.

The bike park is rad, just don't waste your money renting bikes from these guys.

Not much to say since I didn't actually spend any money there. Inquired about having skis waxed, once I was told it's $30 I was done. Not worth it, I'll wait till I get home.

The bike shop has great stuff but the people that work there are TERRIBLE. Rude, not helpful and treat you as though you are a burden to them when asking questions. I was in the market for a downhill bike (which is a pretty large investment) and they blew me off as though I was a fool. Needless to say I refused to give them my business. Another time I went in asking for help with a problem I was having on my bike and the sales guy treated me like I was an idiot. I wouldn't spend a dime in this place if it were the last bike shop on the East Coast. All the other shops around the village are great but stay away from these unprofessional grade A a$$ holes.

I blew out my fork. The bike tech at the shop went right to work on it on his day off. He fixed me up in under a hour at a fair price. They had all the service parts in stock. I was so stocked I bought him lunch. I only wish all bicycle shops were this good. Thanks guys.
