This used to be the spot until today. It is a 20 minute drive from where I live to pick up food here and today will be the very last time I order ANYTHING from this place! I spent nearly $70 on food to only get a metal wire piece from the dish sponge IN my pupusa! I called them immediately and told them the situation. They did not want to resolve the issue and when I wouldn't budge they gave in and said they will replace the pupusas that have them. I told them that I don't trust their pupusas anymore and I prefer something else for free or a refund for half my order, something that makes me believe they're sincere and feel empathy for what I experienced. Nothing, one taco for the pupusa I found with the wire thing in it, like no! Worst customer service, poor conflict resolution, and poor food. Also, I was charged $3 for a large (and I know how their large cup looks like) and she gave me a medium. My son grabbed the cup so I didn't notice until I was driving back home at night in the rain. I sincerely advice not to go before something else is found in your food. The environment is not clean or organize where they cook and store food. I also purchased a chocobanana for my son and he hated it. They used smushie bananas to freeze and make these and they tasted old. The worse! If I can give it ZERO stars, that's the rating they will be receiving!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 11, 2016Previous reviewA lot has changed from my last visit and unfortunately it wasn't for the better. My family and I decided to eat in yesterday. They were quick to bring us menus but everything else, including drinks, took time and the dining area was NOT busy. We were the second family or group of people dining in. Just two tables occupied. Anyway, waitress takes our drink orders and the food for our boys and my husband's appetizer. In Spanish, which is our native tongue, I tell her two pupusas for each child and another two for my husband. That's a total of six but she didn't get that, she was really confused. Okay, not everyone is good with numbers, fine. She leaves and comes back much later, I mean. .. I left to the restroom because my son needed to go potty, 1 & 2, and after our restroom visit she was still not back with anything. No drinks and no food. About 10 minutes or so she then comes with only two drinks of horchata (I ordered 3 horchatas and 1 marañon) and explained that they didn't have anymore. Okay said, bring the other two horchatas for the boys in kid cups, I said in Spanish, she again had that confused look in her face. I then explained it to her, since you brought two adult cups of horchatas, I just need you to bring my kids' drinks in children cups or cups they can't break or spill with. She says okay but comes back with cups just as big as ours and filled with juice no cover and these cups had damaged to them. They were cracked by the rim. I was upset at this point and food had yet to come. The kids food and my husband's appetizer finally came. My kids wouldn't eat it and they love food, like love food they will eat and try everything but even kids have standards and limitations. I tried one myself and they were not good, okay but not great as before when I wrote my prior review. Ten minutes after they get their pupusas, I get my fish and my husband got whatever he ordered. He complained it was too salty and I'm not much of a salt person either but my food was bland. The tortillas were small, thick, and under cooked. Long story short, We will not be coming back!
Oct 19, 2015Previous reviewI've had good experiences here everytime I come, whether it's with my mother and nephew, or my husband and my boys, or just with friends, we have a good experience everytime. The food is great, the pupusas are on point! Right now Monday through Friday pupusas are for $1! Can't beat that!

Esa fue mi experiencia en esta locacion

My tamale was raw and had bones in it !! The potato wasn't cooked. Mi tamale de galliana venia con papas crudos y no tenia nada de pollo com el puro hueso.

Horrible service and wait time. The girl who was taking our order was also cooking the food! That's a huge health hazard!

Got take out from here and it was great. A friend was hung over and the pork papusa was a gift from heaven. Freshly made right in front of you. Friendly counter staff.
Not a ton of options for vegetarians but tons of good eats for carnivores.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adrienne M.Laurel, MD11182881229Aug 13, 2014
Shoot me now and put me out of my misery.
In short, the food was bland, the salsa was basically tomato sauce and the customer service sucked.
I was sick (could not breathe out of my nose, which meant I could barely taste anything) at a house party where pupusas were being hand made in the back yard. I was sick, and I could taste more flavor in those pupusas that I could at Pupuseria Morazan.
The pupusas here are an ill representation of El Salvadorian food. Trust me when I say DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
You're welcome.Helpful 14Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Bill S.Falls Church, VA02611Jan 3, 2021Updated review

Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 15, 2016Previous reviewPupusas for buck and a half.! Waitresses didn't speak English, so be prepared. Friendly, though. Food was tasty. Fried fish was muy bien. Cheap, tasty, very unlike DC.
Check it out.
