Moonstones... A Metaphysical Haven

We wanted to shop here but the sign is by appointment only. the gentleman did not let us in bc it was by appointment only.

the store was empty.

we called from the sidewalk to make an appointment to come in, and watched the dude not answer.

Friendly staff, & they are as interested in geology as much as metaphysical. Pricing is a little higher than expected, quality & variety is expected. At the end of the day I would rather pay for the quality of a specimen.

Moonstones is such a special place to shop. With unique items, vast selection and knowledgeable staff, it's a must visit.

This used to be one of my favorite stores in the area. NOT ANYMORE!

Upon arrival the door was locked and you have to knock to get in. They then locked us in. We were told that masks and hand sanitizer was required, as if we were carriers of a deadly disease. We are in perfect health, but I acquiesced. Then we got the rundown of the store rules. 2 baskets, one for keep, one for things we touched and didn't want. I didnt want the baskets, but was told they are required. (Side note, it has been proven that C19 does not transmit on surfaces.) We were followed around the store as if my children and I were convicted shoplifters.

My 9 year old son had to go to the bathroom. I was told they don't allow patrons to use their bathroom.

We left disgusted and will never return. The women that run this store are so full of fear and negative energy that I don't recommend this store for anyone. Kinda surprising for a place that sells such wonderful spiritual goods.

Save the trouble and go elsewhere.

Everyone there was so helpful and very pleasant, created such a great atmosphere and all were very knowledgeable on all aspects of the store. Beautiful stones and priced affordability. I travel an hour just to shop there because it's worth it. If your thinking about visiting it is absolutely a great place to check out, you won't be disappointed!!

UPDATE: They are much better at the new location. Better prices and much more consistent hours.

Literally closed all the time. Never update website either. I love 30 minutes away and have made trips numerous times to see that it is closed.
Sign said it would be open today and a handwritten sign on the window says closed until Thursday.
Absolutely bulls***. Not to mention how disgustingly overpriced it is. Never again coming back

I was told that moonstones moved and wanted to give them another shot. Due to the pandemic, a lot of rules changed, including the ability to hold onto personal belongings. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. All of their rules were clearly discussed and very fair. Their products were lovely and I really enjoyed my time shopping there.

I love visiting metaphysical stores for crystals but this is one I'll NEVER go back to. I visited here for the second time back in April, first of all they make you leave your purse behind the counter which is fine. Their store their rules, but not having a purse still won't stop them from following you around the store. As a Black woman we all know the stereotype that "Black people steal" and this place makes sure to let you know that they whole heartedly believe that.

They'll have associates follow you around asking you if you need help every 5 minutes. It's not because they want to help you but because they want to keep an eye on you. After I told her on three different occasions that I didn't need any help I decided to grab what I needed to check out.

When I got to the counter another girl came up to the cashier with a list, everything that I had in my hand was written down on that list. Meaning that I was followed around and everything that I picked up was documented before I even got to the counter. I should've left once I saw that but I ended up buying the items but will NEVER return to this place again.

To be a spiritual/new age store this place does not give off welcoming energy. Sucks because they have one of the best selections of stones in the Pittsburgh area, but not worth being followed and tracked like a criminal.

Try visiting Journeys of Life or GRAMS if you want a welcoming experience!

Went in their first day back since covid. Scheduling a shopping appointment was easy, and their health measures (mask required, temperature check at door) were greatly appreciated. As always, had a good convo with staff, and they were happy to help me look for items. They didn't have a few things I was looking for, but boy did they search for them.

I walked by this place and decided to look around.

This is a fun store filled with ehtherel objects and jewelry, gems, art objects, books and candles.

The first floor has tons of jewelry and rings, so if that's what you want, you've found it.

Another floor has tons of gems and stones and oils. I decided to buy some stones to help protect from bad luck. So far they seem to be working!

The staff was friendly and helpful and helped me understand the spiritual side to the things that I was interested in. A fun store to browse!

I didn't have a purse so I didn't have any issues!
