It was just such an aggressively bad experience. Never, ever, use moms taxi. This was not an isolated incident.

I LOVE Mom's Taxi, it is the most affordable and stylish (if you are in the Cadi Limo that is) and stimulating way to safely roam the island if you have been drinking and want to change up venues and/or make it home. 24 hours of service is a huge bonus, but I am mostly reviewing to give a shout out!
These five stars are specifically due to an exquisite man who goes by Stretch; who hides behind a seemingly introverted personality, but is truly one of the most intelligent people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Per our discussion that I opened up (I'm a chatter), he never once forced his opinion or had the intention of explaining his perspective so as to have you join his "side" of a topic, all of which were my choice to cover. He has quite clearly done his research, has had a documentary-worthy life, and was just as gentle as he was passionate. I was enthralled by his prowess, his ability to educate in a captivating way as I was admittedly buzzed, and can honestly state this was the first time I was sad to leave a public transit ride for my destination.

Mom's Taxi said they would pick us up in 15 minutes, and they were there in 15 minutes. The guy who drove us to Bartenders Bash was very friendly and gave us recommendations of what were cool and interesting bars/restaurants around the area.

I just don't know how I felt about the meter staring at $7. We ended up paying 30 bucks (plus five more for tip) for a 10 minute ride.

This is hardly a taxi service. My driver was 15 minutes late and the car was falling apart. The inside smelled like pure gasoline and It sounded like the car would fall apart in pieces any minute. They are cheaper than Uber right now because there aren't many Uber drivers in key largo yet. They get you from point a to point B however you have to ride in a horrible smelling vehicle that looks and sounds like it will blow. The driver was nice and didn't say a word which was appreciated. I do not recommend this company at all. If you have no choice then It is what it is and you must use them but Uber is worth a few bucks more.

Our driver was late, used his cell phone while driving, drove very aggressively, and complained about having to drive us. The vehicle was a beat up old mini van with zero suspension or brakes, smelt of cigarettes, the head liner was held on by thumb tacks and the doors didn't work properly. Would not recommend. Uber it.

Worst taxi company ever... can never get a cab when you need. They always have excuses... absolutely suck

Requested Mom's taxi a half hour in advance. Said they'd be there. Waited almost half hour at location, called Mom's to see if they were coming. Dispatcher said the current customer went 20 miles further then their initial destination. It happens. But why no courtesy call to say they'd be late? And they couldn't give definite time when they'd be there. Maybe twenty minutes (if we're lucky). Poor service. Thank god we weren't going to a wedding and it wasn't raining.

Called Keys Express Cab (305-923-1739). Arrived in 10 minutes. Keys Cab was clean, professional and courteous. That's how it should be.

It's a service, not a lottery!!

Clean cars, timely pickup when called, and pleasant drivers who obey the law and politely deal with your drunkenness.

The meter starts at $7 as soon as you get in. Say you want the local's rate and you get $1 chopped off.

Scariest driving I ever witnessed in my life. I wish police were around to have witnessed the aggressive driving by this taxi driver. Never use this company if you care about your own safety... and for that of others on the road who are forced to deal with the drivers of this can company!! Nasty driver, crappy van.
