A friend recommended this three years ago. I seem to try it once a year. My third and last visit because I'm moving. I ordered a combo platter 3 pancakes 2 sausage links 2 Bacon and 1 egg over easy.
$13. Felt a little pricy. Bacon and sausage perfect pancakes with strawberries raw in the center. Once they served my food, they never came back except to hand me the bill so nobody knew that the food was bad because nobody asked.
This was my 3 and final attempt here. The food is just not up to par, no matter what you order no matter what time of day.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Gon N.Dana Point, CA04Mar 14, 2024
Oh my god!
Like nothing ive ever exrienced,
We are new to this country and were very lucky to find Mollies.
We were referred by a man we met in the harbor. Mr. Robert.
He was corrẻct in saying they mạke the best breakfast in the world.
Thank you and see you again.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - T O.Aliso Viejo, CA7134817Apr 15, 2024
Been a loyal customer for over 20 yrs. I was so disappointed recently when I saw the 3% surcharge when I received the check. So I took it out of the tip. Not likely to return very often.
Please know that some customers notice and pay attention to this. Another local restaurant just around the corner does this too so I rarely go there too.
Just be up front and raise your prices on the menu. Hidden fees are shady and customers don't like it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jingjing D.Orinda, CA02Jan 27, 2024
Food was mediocre. Service was not good. We waited for a long time while other people who ordered after us got their food first. When I asked them, their excuse was they had a lot of to-go orders.
Worse of all, they over charged me. I'm glad I had the original receipt so I could file a dispute with my credit company.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 4, 2024
I loved dining here. We came here for a midweek lunch and got seated right away. Cute ambiance with country diner settings around. Food came piping hot and quick. Pretty good portion size. Came hungry and left completely satisfied. Highly recommend stopping by to try their dishes. They have Mexican and American dishes. Which sometimes is hard for me to choose.

Did another food run to Mollie's Country Kitchen, and by food run, I mean DoorDash.
THE FOODS |
- Enchilada and Chili Relleno | A hearty breakfast with cheese-stuffed chili relleno, carnitas enchilada covered in spicy green sauce, fluffy spanish rice, and warm refried beans. Recommend ordering this dish.
- Mollie's Famous Country Breakfast | Another hearty breakfast for the serious breakfast foodie. The best part of this meal are their moist and flakey biscuits with a thick sausage gravy sauce slathered on top.
WOULD I COME BACK? | Yes, it's a great breakfast spot!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Oct 8, 2022Previous reviewWhen we first moved to Mission Viejo, we were on the hunt for a good breakfast joint. We found Mollie's Country Kitchen through Yelp, read the reviews, and decided to try it out. Now, it's become one of our favorite places to go for breakfast! There's quite a wait to be seated during the weekends, so be patient or get there early. We normally order through the DoorDash app and have it delivered to our lazy selves.
THE FOODS | Breakfast & lunch dishes, but they're mostly known for their breakfast. I ordered...
- Carne Asada, Chile Relleno, & Eggs | Comes with guacamole, sour cream, green onion, tortillas, and salsa. Choose between home fries (scalloped potatoes), refried beans with cheese, or do what I do and get a half order of each. The carne asada is tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. I especially enjoy the chile relleno, which is covered with cheese & sauce, mildly spicy, and stuffed with cheese. This is a deliciously hearty breakfast... so show up hangry, share it with someone, or eat half of it and save the other half for later.
THE MOLLIE'S COUNTRY KITCHEN FEELS | 80's diner, complete with floral wallpaper, teal colored booths, and table edges painted in pink. I'm not even sure if the decor is intentional or the owners decided there was no need to step into the present. Either way, it's a trip to see.
THE PARKING SITUATION | Finding parking near the restaurant on a weekend may be challenging. The parking lot becomes a one way road as you get closer to the restaurant, so if you can't find parking, it will spit you back out onto La Paz Rd. I suggest parking in whatever spot you see open when you first enter the lot. Parking is free. - Dec 31, 2023
Mollies Kitchen has won my heart with its great food and warm atmosphere. Beyond the delicious dishes, the staff's friendliness adds an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, Mollies Kitchen is a welcoming haven for food enthusiasts seeking both flavor and a friendly ambiance.

My family loves this place. Never miss a beat, dine-in or take-out. I would say Mollies flies under the radar so definitely one of my favorites to tell the friends about.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this great place yet. We have been here many times since moving to San Juan In January. This is our Go To breakfast place, especially when we have visiting guests. My favorite is the Monte Cristo which is just as delicious as the Disneyland Blue Bayou. It's made the good way with a fried donut exterior and delicious melty cheese and meat inside. I've had Monte Cristos at other restaurants and most times its just a french toast sandwich. But this one is properly dipped and fried. Yum yum yum!
They've given the place a face lift - new flooring, new tables/chairs and removing some of the booth seating. I'm not usually a fan of booths since the table is always too close (or maybe I'm too fat?) or the booth seating is way lower than the table.
Mollie's has excellent food, quick service and you get a discount if you pay cash!Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 1
