Mizu Sushi & Grill

The sushi here is pretty good, fresh and made to order. The sushi bar is small but intimate, same with the restaurant ambience. The workers are fast and somewhat helpful with explaining the sushi menu, as long as you ask the right questions, they will have the answers.

I love their sashimi and chef special sushi combo, 5 pcs each, it is a great deal for a quick yet healthy lunch for $10+tax. The box looks amazing, very nicely presented with ginger and wasabi on the side next to the fake grass to desperate the sushi from them, super cute and creative.

Pretty good sushi for the Jacksonville area. I rarely get to this part of town, but have been a couple of times with friends, and wandered over solo once after checking out the Legacy taproom next door.

As would be expected, I've enjoyed them much more when they aren't very busy. With a larger table during peak dinner rush, we saw some rough edges.

Good selection on rolls. And, a boon for the non-susheater, they also have udon soup, hibachi, tempura, katsu, and a pretty good selection of Chinese dishes.

Pretty good sushi, lunch prices are great and the amount of food is great too, until I found this in my rice...looks like it shouldn't have made it into my food people.

I have really mixed feelings about Mizu and I have waited about 2 years to write a review because I didn't want to be mean.

Mizu is close to my office so my coworkers and I used to order weekly. We would order the hibachi lunches and sushi. We never had issues with the food and still haven't. The hibachi lunch special is a fantastic deal and the taste is great. For about 8 dollars you get soup, salad, noodles, rice, veggies and your choice of meat.

The sushi is usually rolled tight and I have never had an issue with the quality of the fish.

The delivery service is pretty good. They deliver most of the time within an hour.

Now here is my issue...

I was thirsty once so I ordered a Dr. Pepper. When I received it I had a drink and didn't notice anything. I then noticed a black spot under the lid. I thought I would take off the lid and clean the soda underneath so it wouldn't spill if I tipped the drink. However when I opened the lid I saw dozens of dead ants!!

I called the restaurant and they just informed me that they were having an ant problem. I'm sorry but that doesn't work. There is no way an employee put on the lid and didn't see the ants!! They offered to refund my meal which I took them up on. I then waited about a year to order. We only order cooked food once in a while but I will never order a drink again. If they were having that bad of an ant problem, they should have closed and cleaned.

Mizu sushi and grill has some of the best delivered sushi here in Jacksonville. The prices are reasonable, the portions are great and the quality is to be expected. I usually have their sushi lunch special three times a week, and delivery (after the lunch rush) usually takes about fifteen minutes. Their speciality rolls are also fantastic; I've them all. The hibachi lunch is also a great value at under $10 including soup and a salad. Overall, if you're looking for a quality lunch that won't break that bank, check out Mizu!

This is my favorite lunch break spot. It quiet, clean, and the service is really good!

The food is pretty delicious and fresh! I usually get sushi but I have also had other items from their menu and had no complaints!

Love the sushi here! Bonus: they will deliver it to you next door if you are at Legacy Ale Works. Definitely recommend the spicy scallop sashimi

This place is very welcoming and the food tastes fresh. My tip here is don't order any soup to go... it was a mess when i tried to eat it. The Lo Mein and Hibachi are both delicious, the service is extremely friendly and the environment is very clean.

We decided to place an order for sushi at work and had heard a lot about how great this restaurant was.

I decided on the dynamite roll with fried rice and while the food was delicious and we had no complaints about it the customer service was horrible.

I'm not sure if it's because of the big order we placed but you'd believe that it'd be a good thing. The man that took our order over the phone was very rude, short and dry. He sounded as if he really didn't want to be at work.

We also asked for extra shrimp sauce and my coworker order 2 shrimp fried rices. The first time they dropped our order off the forgot the shrimp fried rice orders and stated that we would need to give back the extra shrimp sauces in order for them to deliver the food that mind you we had already paid for. We gave them back as asked and when they dropped off the shrimp fried rice...get this....there was absolutely no shrimp. We called back to let them know and with the ugliest attitude the man proceeded to argue with us that there was indeed shrimp in the rice and as he put it "I don't know what else to tell you..."

Don't get me wrong the food from this place will make you want to give them another chance but the customer service we had to endure was so overwhelmingly horrible it definitely makes us say forget it!!!

Disclaimer: I have only had delivery sushi from this restaurant. My 6 year old nephew wanted sushi for his bday dinner (what a palette?!) and we ordered from here. Since then, I have been a huge repeat customer. This restaurant is exactly what I want after a hard days work. Super quick delivery, super fresh sushi, and super delicious food. I have ordered all over the menu and I have not been disappointed. Highly recommend
