This place has become our favorite place to stay while in dtla. The location is right by a subway station that you can transfer to a train to get to from the airport.
The restaurants near by are great. If you don't mind a tad longer walk you can head to grand central market as well.
Rooms are adequate and always clean. They have bidets in each room as well.
Great place to stay and not break the bank while improving your food and drink options.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 31, 20241 check-in
The Miyako has a new look on the exterior of the building. The management and Board of Directors approved an art piece to honor and welcome Shohei Ohtani, who joined the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2024 season.
Artist and famed muralist, Robert Vargas, created an iconic painting that is larger than life in many ways. The hotel is located in Little Tokyo area of Los Angeles (near 1st and Central Streets).
Tourists from all over the world travel and stay at this hotel. The amenities include a restaurant, cocktail lounge, fitness/work-out gym, and business center equipped with desktop computers.
Conveniently located a few blocks away from the Metro Train Stop and Union Station, there are many restaurants and shops just a few steps away to make your visit memorable.
The media broadcasted daily stories and updates and progress of this culturally significant project. I attended the unveiling, which was the day before the Opening Day game at Dodger Stadium. The mural is amazing in person compared to photos recently posted online.
When in the Los Angeles area, come by for lunch or dinner, and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!Helpful 21Thanks 3Love this 19Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2022
My wife stayed here for a business trip, the client paid for it so I can't comment on the pricing, but I really enjoyed our stay there.
Miyako Hotel is in the heart of Little Tokyo, within a stone's throw of the historic Little Tokyo Mall and within walking distance to different shops and places in Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Downtown LA.
The room was clean, we stayed there almost a week and had them service the room once including changing the towels and bed sheets.
One of their elevators was unavailable, probably related to them replacing the carpet on the 5th Floor (not the floor we were staying on).
Their lobby was clean and had comfortable looking seating although I have not not been lounging in lobbies since COVID. We tried the coffee shop and bakery in the lobby and it was pretty tasty and felt pretty good to support a local business.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - A Foodie F.Orange, CA1064449Mar 11, 2024
So quiet and clean and safe, with a really delicious bakery downstairs, right in the heart of Little Tokyo with convenient valet. I will definitely stay again.

Good- wonderful location close to all things Little Tokyo. Wonderful food and shops nearby, and historic landmarks. Very safe and walkable area, which can be difficult to come by in downtown LA.
Bad- heat was not well maintained as it has an old system and WiFi was in and off (not great for a work trip).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Estie S.Duluth, GA1138Mar 8, 2024
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! I love how close it is to Japan town (Tokyo Mall) and the service and people here are friendly! Theres a cute japanese bakery/cafe on the lobby floor, 24 hour snacks and food store, and on the 2nd floor they have an awesome bar lounge with fun live karaoke with incredible service from the all the staffs! It was the best hotel I ever stayed at and Im really thankful my bf booked this place for us while visiting LA.

Favorite hotel in DTLA! It's very very clean and also in a perfect location.
I only wish that they would bring back the complimentary house slippers. We always looked forward to them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam W.Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA13130Nov 10, 2022
We had a great stay at Miyako! The rooms were super clean, complimentary slippers and the bathrooms were so nice! Love the traditional Japanese style toilets. The only thing was the customer service at the front desk
Wasn't the friendliest, maybe we caught them at an off day.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 2, 2022
Cleanliness: 5/5 The place is spotless, a stark contrast to the increasing levels of grunge commonplace in Downtown LA.
Location: 5/5 Situated in the heart of Little Tokyo, restaurants and shopping abound nearby. A metro station is going up a block down, but the hotel is far enough away from busy streets that it's quiet at night. The LA Convention Center and Koreatown are just a short Uber ride away.
Room: 4/5 The rooms here are a bit on the small side, as is typical for LA. The amenities are quite reasonable, and things generally seem to work, but there's nothing particularly special about the rooms themselves, other than the Japanese toilets.
Service: 4/5 The staff were efficient and welcoming for the most part. Unfortunately, the desk staff didn't let guests know they needed to scan their room card to get up to their floor, and only provided one card per room by default. Easy room for improvement there.
Value: 4/5 I'd have expected to pay more, given the location, but a lot of that value seems to be accomplished by not doing anything particularly special, just doing the basics well and having a good location. As others have noted, parking is a bit expensive here, but on the other hand, that means if you're not coming with a car, you're not subsidizing others who are. Seems fair enough.
Overall: 5/5. Certainly one of the better places I've stayed in LA overall. While there are nicer places to stay, to be sure, you'll find they're overall more expensive.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joel M.Oceanside, CA09Nov 10, 2023
Perfect location for visiting Little Tokyo/Arts District, DTLA, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Clean with Japanese aesthetic update to an older hotel. The upper floor Premium rooms facing North have a beautiful view of the mountains and even a little peak of the Hollywood sign. The Okayama Kobo bakery in the lobby is not to be missed for buns and a latte. Reasonably priced for a DTLA hotel and Valet parking was significantly less than other hotels in the area. Highly recommend.
