This was my 90th Diners Drive Ins and Dives! This is the best breakfast spot I have ever been to! Overall, it's definitely in my top 10 DDD and maybe even top 5!
Parking was a bit tight but there is a parking lot out back which helped.
We ordered coconut cream cheese stuffed French toast, Raspberry white chocolate cheesecake stuffed French toast, Chicken andouille sausage cheddar cheese biscuits, Pimento cheese biscuits, chicken n cheddar green onion waffles; Fried Buttermilk Boneless Chicken Breast Pieces with Honey Mustard Aioli drizzle & White Cheddar Green Onion Waffles with Peppadew Jalapeño Butter, dusted with Cajun Spice and Maryland omelette crab, ole bay and cheddar cheese spread.
EVERYTHING was amazing, literally the best breakfast I have had! I see why they are branching out! I live in NJ, land of the diner breakfast...this place is better than every diner I've ever visited! I can go on and on, but really...you just have to try it! Be prepared for a wait if you go during breakfast rush.

I've lived in Baltimore for over a decade and have always heard great things about Miss Shirley's. I finally had a chance to visit and I don't think my experience lived up to the hype. I was told this was the best location to visit but maybe that has changed.

Our server, Hernan was kind and patient as it took a while for me to finally pick something. I decided on the fried chicken, biscuit and gravy omelet and my partner had the buttermilk pancakes with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. I asked for the gravy on the side because I wasn't sure how the gravy would taste with the omelet. The biscuit was hard as a rock; I had to saw through it with a butter knife to even attempt to taste it. The biscuit was inedible. The omelet and hash browns weren't seasoned at all, not even with just a little salt and pepper. Turns out all of the seasoning was in the gravy so I ended up pouring it over everything. My omelet had two cubed pieces of a cut up chicken breast in it. The pancakes weren't great. They were too dry for butter and syrup to help.

There's something for everyone here. Miss Shirley's is consistently on my short list of recommendations when making brunch plans, for myself or for out of towners. If you don't mind a bit of a wait, that is. (And if you do mind, go within 90 mins of opening).

If I'm being honest, every visit doesn't knock it out of the park but not for any egregious reasons, and I never regret the choice.

I like the early weekday vibe for catching up with a friend. My favorite is the Poppy's Fried Chicken Sandwich, which is a great portion. Check out their seasonal menu changes, stuffed French toast and the biscuit appetizers are usually a hit for my family.

The brunch is still good but I may have overrated it a bit when i first made the review. The French toast is probably my favorite item and is good stuffed or regular challah.

Okay...let me first start by saying I thought MsShirley's was black-owned...it is not! This was ago to spot suggested on many sites, social media, and FB groups. Yeah...it was just "okay" to me.

Here for a conference and due to all the suggestions, we got up early to "open up" MsShirleys. They open at 9, we walked over from our hotel and there were already 5+parties ahead of us. It's a pretty large location by the convention Ctr so the wait was not long.

This is my 3rd review of BMore spots and I'll continue to say, service is slow; but idk if it's the culture or if we're impatient in Cali! There were 6 of us and fit snuggly in a booth.

I want crab everything in Maryland, so I went for the crab omelette w/onion hash browns, chicken sausage w/biscuit. It was okay...nothing to blow me away or honestly to warrant all the rave; but it was decent. The biscuit is misleading, I thought all the flavors were separate; but it's combined...

They supposedly have the country's best pancakes...my colleague said they were good; but have had better. Some of the other food ordered was the stuffed French toast (it was huge and a lot of stuffing), Shrimp n grits (different spin on the green tomatoes).

The server was really nice and attentive. They have 3 locations. I would return if it was in the area again; but not overly impressive.

My fiancée and I came here for her birthday since she was craving some carbs. It rained all day so it was a great place to stay dry and have a great meal. Gabby was our waitress and she was super kind, friendly and attentive. We've been to MSC before in Roland Park, but it's been a while since we live in Baltimore City. We started off with a fresh squeezed OJ and strawberry lemonade as well as two coffees that were organic and local from Chesapeake Coffee Roasters. Off to a great start. Then my fiancée ordered the complimentary gluten free short stack of pancakes with strawberries, chocolate chips and butter. Gabby brought it out with a birthday candle. I ordered the gravy train southern skillet. I think we were both utterly satisfied with our meals and satisfied our cravings. I couldn't finish everything, so I had leftovers that I thoroughly enjoyed the next day. It's cool to see all the recognition the restaurant has received framed on their walls. We will definitely be back to satisfy our next cravings.

The food was amazing. The pancakes was fluffy, the shrimp and grits was well seasoned and the deviled eggs were ok because the meat was cold on top.
The service was nice the waiter was attentive and the ambiance was chill.

I was craving pancakes and decided to give Miss Shirley's Cafe a try. I ordered a short stack (2 pancakes) , side order of eggs scrambled with white cheddar and a side order of chicken sausage (2). The best part of my meal was the pancakes. The eggs looked like they were liquid eggs from the carton. They looked more orange than yellow to me and there was no seasoning added to the eggs at all. The chicken sausage was dried out. The pancakes were okay I've definitely had better. Unimpressed and I doubt I'll order again.

Came here for Mother's Day brunch and although they don't take reservations, the wait was only 30-35 minute though they said it would be 45 mins. I was pleasantly surprised, as one of the shop attendants nearby said it was up to a two hour wait earlier that day. To kill time we went across the street to enjoy a coffee.

The restaurant was packed and buzzing with families. The menu had some great options and we opted for the donuts and the shrimp and grits. Both were highly recommended by our waitress, Emily who was very kind and attentive. We loved our meals and will be back again to try a few other items we had our eye on such as the Chicken and Waffles.

I appreciated how engaged the manager was, helping bring out and clear plates and check on tables. Despite working with a crutch, it was impressive to see how supportive he was on such a busy day.
