Peter C.Grass Lake Charter Township, MI11065Jun 21, 2014I don't fish so this review is just about the party store. Selection is extremely limited on beer. They have hardly any wine. What they do have is priced higher than the store right down the street (Lakeside Party Store). The deli is hit or miss there. My brother loves it and I've had good and bad food from it. They have daily lunch specials, salads, sandwiches, etc... They do some baked goods there that are ok too. Not much selection for any grocery items. Basically the grocery side of the business not so good but the deli/bakery isn't bad. They also have an ice cream shop attached to it next door. It's not bad either.

It's great to see that even though to don't fish you're still able to have a good meal with us, Peter. However, I'm disappointed to see that you've had hit-or-miss food from our deli. I know we're capable of providing you an excellent meal every time you come in.
You mentioned you liked our ice cream shop too, but I'm curious -- what's your favorite flavor that we have?

Brad P.Jackson, MI1241Nov 7, 2011First to ReviewSmall convenience/bait & tackle store and sub/ice cream shop. Great little place, haven't tried the sub shop yet but the ice cream shop is great. During the summer it is crewed mostly by High School girls from nearby East Jackson so in the spring and fall it may have odd hours based on events at the school. Generous scoops and specialty ice cream treats are available.

1016272Sep 7, 2015I have been going to this place for ice cream for years. It has changed owners, faces, and interior/exterior setup over the years. Even after all of these years one thing remains the same...big scoops of ice cream. A small cone is all you will need if you just want to fill that ice cream void. The ice cream cones from a dairy farm in New Era, MI. If you ever have a chance to go there it is a really neat experience to add on to your west Michigan adventure.
The place really looks great with new decorations and the outdoor seating area. You are missing out on great ice cream and large scoops...definitely worth the stop.

The patio is the perfect spot to enjoy your ice cream and the service is always great! Also, it is inexpensive to the point where you want to pay more! Go get a few scoops... You won't regret it!!

Corey K.Jackson, MI15155Jan 8, 2015Ok little party store with a bait shop, ice cream shop in the summer, and a deli they no longer really use. They seem to be remodelling little things here and there. Lots of old timers there in the morning sharing stories by the bait station. Cool spot.
