Mini Explorer's Daycare

I contacted Mini Explorers Daycare by phone and contact form from their website asking for more information about their program and to schedule a tour (virtual or F2F) over the course of a month with time between each of my touch points.

The school program and philosophy of play based approach was interesting to me so I wanted to learn more about their emergent curriculum style of teaching. To my disappointment, I never received a call back or email with more information.

Sadly, I hate to imagine my child attending a program where it was impossible to reach the director, owner, or anyone on site.

My 18 mo. old son started here a few months ago. I was very careful to check Heather's reference and interview her and her staff. She was very loving and watchful of Jacob as he transitioned from my care to her. They have a lot of indoor activities and outdoor activities that are educational and super fun. Her daycare also incorporates walks around the neighborhood, farm visits and other things that we parents can join. Really wonderful daycare.

My toddler attends Mini Explorer Daycare and really seems to enjoy 'school'. :)
Mini Explorer's has a new teacher certified in Waldorf Education which emphasizes the role of imagination in learning, striving to integrate holistically the intellectual, practical, and artistic development of pupils. Most recently the children have helped with kneading bread and in the coming weeks will bring vegetables to go in the homemade soup of the week.

My toddler son has been going here for a few months. He really enjoys it and she keeps the kids quite busy. He sings a lot more than he used to which I love! She has great assistants with no turnover and they're also great with the kids. Kids don't have a high turnover rate either which is really nice. Some kids have been there since they were babies. The kids get home cooked food and she's got a huge back yard full of play equipment and a veggie garden. Her house was totally set up as a daycare and she has the playrooms separated by age which is nice. Totally recommend her!
