I was in town for the first time in a long while, so one of my best friends, his girlfriend, and another friend from Canada decided that we should all enjoy an evening of escape. Because MindQuest had good reviews and was close to his place, it was a no-brainer!
His girlfriend booked Diamond Heist for the 4 of us, and it was excellent! The puzzles were thoughtful, and the room had a good flow to it. It was fun to uncover more and more as you got deeper into the story. And, of course, it's always sweeter to make it out! Because we had so much fun escaping Diamond Heist, we booked the next available room afterwards.
Cyber Crash was an entirely different beast to tame, and we were less than 10 minutes from egress. Most of the puzzles made sense to us, but overall, this was beyond our skill level as novice escape gamers. There was one particular puzzle that we would never have gotten! It was still a fun experience that tested our collaboration and problem-solving skills.
MindQuest deserves the high ratings it receives. It is located in the plaza with some restaurants and Publix, so parking should never be an issue. Check it out!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Brian, thank you for taking the time to share your awesome review and picture with us! We're happy to hear you and your party had a great time with us. We hope you will come back again soon for more.

We did this last night for a friends birthday. She got a coupon on Groupon, (haha that rhymes) for a party of 4. I am not too sure how much it was but she said it saved a decent amount. It just had to be used during the week and you could only chose between two different rooms.
Mind quest is an interactive experience. They have 4 different scenes to chose from; Diamond Heist, Mad Scientist, the Matrix (the newest one) and the one we did, The Bomb. Basically, you are placed inside a room and have to work together as a team to solve the mystery. In the bomb, we had to diffuse the bomb within 60 minutes. They are all 60 minutes.
I have to say I was terrified at first, I was asking some coworkers about it and they had told me it was on TV, well something similar, they said people jump out and there was all kind of crazy things to do. This was NOTHING like that. It was fun! Once I let myself breathe and enjoy it, I had a blast. They do make you sign a waver in the beginning, which again freaked me out, but it was more to cover themselves.
So our task was to diffuse the bomb, and without giving anything away, we had to solve all kinds of tasks. Like this thing needed to be done first in order to move onto the next thing which took us to this thing and so on. W were given a paper to write on, a help card and the background story. The guy walked us in the room, it was a low lit office so he gave us flash lights. And gave a brief explanation, told us not to think to much into it and we would find things that meant nothing to throw us off and were set free. They have cameras and a microphone inside the room just in case anything gets too crazy.
I can not tell you how much fun we had! We got so into it and that hour went super fast. We were able to diffuse the bomb with 2 minutes to spar but not without using all our clues. My husband and I are planning on going again like within the next month!
The staff is beyond nice and polite. They want you have a good time. We saw another group come out of the diamond heist and the lady had her camera light on, so we are thinking it is really dark in that one. I really cant wait to go back and we definitely want to experience all 4. I do hope in the future, they create new ones so we can keep going back. I think it will be best for groups of 4-6.
Thank you to the staff for making such a great experience.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jun 22, 2017Updated review
AMAZING! Came here with our group from work as part of an outing, I am not going to lie.... I was NOT looking forward to doing this, I didn't really believed it would be fun. Boy was I ever wrong.
The staff at the facility explained everything we needed to do (without giving us any clues) and off we went, not sure how many scenarios they had but our teams did the Diamond Heist, cyber crash and another one. I believe they had a few more scenarios to select. Everyone in our team of 20 some people had a blast last. We had a group of people with ages ranging from 22 to 55 and everyone seriously loved it.
Two out of our 3 groups broke out of the rooms, all rooms range in difficulty and the staff at the facility lets you know how difficult it is before you commit without giving anything away.
If you are looking for a different, fun experience away from the parks or just trying to do something fun this place is the place to go. I really can't wait to go back and try a different game!
Ps: there is a Beth's Burger Bar right next door so you can always eat there afterwards and make it a complete fun date or game night with friends!!
Ps: I have done another escape game at a different location in the area and still stand by the great review I left for this place! Don't be turned off by the few negative comments, this place is worth it! Good luck getting out!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

I've mentioned in a previous review that pretty much all escape rooms I've ever checked out the Yelp page for have had over 4, usually close to 5 stars. This is because most escape room patrons have never done another so have no expectations for the experience.
I have heard from others that MindQuest's other games are better than Cyber Crash, the game that I played, but based on my experience playing that game I cannot recommend MindQuest and can't justify paying for another of their games when there are so many other options to try in the Orlando area. Although this was not my experience, I also have never spoken to anyone else who has played a game there who has not experienced a game that had been reset incorrectly. Again, I didn't experience this on my visit but the fact that many other people have makes me wary.
I can't speak to the other games, but Cyber Crash's theming was very cheap--lots of the "decorations" were just printer-quality paper glued to the walls and other things, and there was also a tall, very obvious speaker placed in the room to provide the sounds. It was one of the least immersive escape experiences I have ever had.
It wasn't the worst escape room experience I've had, but I don't plan on returning and I wouldn't recommend it to others when there are so many escape room experiences in the area and most of them are far superior.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dan A.Lake Mary, FL7634965Apr 17, 2018
This past weekend was my mother's birthday, and we let her choose whatever she wanted to do for her birthday, and of course she choose, Escape Rooms!!! So we booked 6 rooms for her Birthday.
At Mindquest we played Diamond Heist as her 2nd room and The Bomb as her 6th room.
Both rooms were pretty well thought out, and had some interesting puzzles that we had never seen before. We did enjoy both of the rooms, and do plan to come back again in the future.
The staff was very polite and helpful as well. All in all, 2 very favorable experiences.
The next time the family returns to town, I expect that we will probably be going back to do some more of their rooms.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

We escaped the Diamond Heist (my 25th room ever) and had a great time overall. There were some cool elements to the room I haven't seen before and we enjoyed the progression and was glad it was linear. I really enjoyed one of the last tasks we had to complete that required patience and careful teamwork. Production quality was average.
The issue was with technology (especially regarding the way they gave hints in the room- which I really liked the idea and don't see this often enough) and by reading other reviews it seems our incident wasn't isolated. The game host tried to do his best to help us out, but it also felt like he wasn't paying close attention when we asked for hints (we used 2 hints). I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
I was just visiting from out of town, but I'm curious to try their other rooms.
Ample parking in lot and you can bring your belongings in the room to store for the duration of the game. Cool, steam punk style props to pose with.
I would recommend this location.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This has to be one of the best escape games in Orlando!
The location is very well put together. Staff is friendly! Waiting area is pleasant and clean. You are offered refreshments. Check in is quick and easy.
The most important part is clearly the game/room. As someone who is pretty seasoned in escape games now, I can be very critical. The room we played - The Haunting - was put together very well. It was very interactive and challenging. Nothing was too easy. The staff was on point when offering help when needed. We enjoyed every single second... and we played until the very last second!
At the end, of course, you get to take pictures! They have plenty of props to try on and make your photo exciting. The photo is also emailed to you, which is greatly appreciated.
The pricing is also very fair - not too cheap, not too expensive. We booked within an hour of arrival with no issues and had the whole room to our group of 4. We will be back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I love the concept of this. I went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I definitely recommend going with people you know. It is hard to motivate a group of people you don't know. The game is a pressure situation which adds to the fun. It is challenging but doable. The staff is friendly and has a sense of humor. I throughly enjoyed completing the tasks. We finished with ten seconds to spare.
The area set up for pictures is creative also. This is a great group activity.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

First time doing an escape room with my family and we had a lot of fun! The experience was great, the price seems very fair and it was easy to book same day. There is a lot of parking and the waiting room is nice and comfortable.
The challenge was pretty difficult and some of the clues confusing, not sure if that was due to inexperience or not (probably!)
The only downside was the girl who showed us to the room, explained the room, and later took our pictures was a bit of a wet blanket on the experience. She was completely humorless and awkward. The rest of the staff was funny and energetic so I don't think she represents this locations staff as a whole!
Overall we had such a fun experience and we would definitely do it again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
