Merle Norman Cosmetics

I did not realize Merle Norman had wigs, found out from my daughter. I've lost my hair due to chemo and just wanted to find one that resembles my natural hair. Denise was fantastic in helping me find the perfect one!!

To me, Merle Norman represents make up for older women, but I might not be correct about that. This is located in the same strip mall that Fog Tree is located. My mom has used Merle Norman her whole life. I was started on Merle Norman, and learned skin care techniques, that I still use today.

This store has a huge collection of wigs, they are nice wigs, on one side of the store. Towards the back of the store, there's a full day spa. Infact, I intend to have them wax my eyebrows in the coming weeks, just to try something different.

They sell a few hair products, and a few hair accessories. They have their own, very limited selection of skin care, basic, to me. Sometimes boring. I'm not beyond trying their eye make up remover. They appeal to a different crowd, and are never mass advertised.

They do have their own mineral makeup, and full lines of make up in all colors, for all skin types. They don't have 72 different colors of eye shadow on display, and it's not eye catching, as other, uh, more tempting brands are.

The staff at this store keeps record of what you purchase in the computer, so you'll know what you need the next time around. I'm sure this is exciting for those who use their products often. I don't purchase their make-up, but 4 stars cause the store is right up my alley, and I know it's a good product.

I walked in to Merle Norman seeking help with makeup. I was waited on by the owner Denise. She did a full make-up session with me. While she was finding a foundation match, she mentioned that she just happened to be in the studio for a hair appt for her daughter but had started waiting on customers since they were busy. She was helpful and did a great job with finding the right products for me. She never pushed me to buy anything. I had come in looking for foundation and blush and when I said I wanted to buy the eye makeup too she reminded me I didn't have to buy it. At checkout she gave me that months discount and 2 freebies. I was very happy with my experience and also have been very happy with the products I purchased. I learned they do a variety of services in this Merle Norman studio and I will return to take advantage of that.

Beyond impressed with the studio and staff. Professional service, amazing product knowledge and great recommendations. Everything I've bought and used, I've loved. Every question I asked was answered, and I never felt pressured to purchase product. Denise (I think she is the manager or owner?) went above and beyond all my expectations. I'm not sure what the previous review was referring to? I've never had a bad experience with any employee. As a former employee of the beauty industry, seeing such a clean salon was beyond welcoming and comforting. I will return, as well as refer all my friends and family to shop here!
