I found Melissa's massage studio through Groupon and decided to check her out. Her studio is very clean and serene with plenty of street parking in a non-condensed area of Manhattan Beach. I've tried many Groupon massage deals and they usually end with either mediocre service, hidden fees, and/or a desperate sales plea for additional pre-paid services. I felt that Melissa did a great job of keeping me informed of her promotions without cornering me into an awkward confrontation.

Onto the massage: Probably the best I've had, and I've tried many in the LA area. At one point she climbed onto my back and used some of her body weight to dig deep into some of my trouble areas. She was also considerate of her applied pressure levels and made sure I was not experiencing any unnecessary pain.

Throughout, I found Melissa's services to be very professional, straightforward with no hidden fees, and effective. While there are certainly cheaper massage services around, I've found that you get what you pay for and Melissa's services are worth every penny.

I am truly satisfied with my one hour massage. Melissa definitely knows what she is doing. I've had other massages, and they were good, but this one was above average.
Melissa jumped right in and found those tense spots. She applied just the right amount of pressure and just the right amount of relaxing touch when needed. From start to finish, Melissa created a soothing and welcoming feeling.

About the location/space: conveniently located with a private parking lot. The entire space feel light and free. The massage room had a peaceful energy and the overall layout felt very intentional - peaceful music, decor, scent, etc.

I think I have found a permanent spot!

Bought a Deep Massage package as a birthday gift for my wife. Melissa's work location was undergoing remodeling, so she received us at her house. After an hour I picked up my wife and she was EXTREMELY thankful for this birthday gift and she said that it was an amazing experience and that she now feels a lot better and that the experience was worth every penny and more. She said that Melissa has magic hands and she knew exactly where to press and how deep. It has been more than a week since then, and my wife still thanks me everyday for the birthday gift and keep telling me how amazing she feels because of the Deep Tissue Massage that Melissa gave her. As a thank you gesture, my wife booked me an appointment with Melissa. unfortunately, I couldn't make it. Hopefully, I will make it soon. Thank you Melissa :)

Not to sound like a broken record but Melissa is AMAZING! I purchased a massage for my Mom's surprise 60th birthday weekend. She was going to be out of town on my Mom's actual birthday but Melissa did everything to make sure we had a very convenient date and time. She was super flexible and very responsive!

When My mom came out of her massage she said it was THEE BEST massage she had ever experienced. And this is coming from a woman who is very particular and had a masseuse she went to for YEARS in our home town. My mom calls her a little "power house" because of how strong she is!

Needless to say we will be returning for her services and you won't be disappointed one bit if you choose to book an appointment with her.

In a nut shell Melissa is professional, kind, and extremely skilled at what she does!

Great massage. Deep tissue, good strength, yet relaxing. Rare to find a masseuse that actually listens to where you need work & focuses on those spots. Location has good parking, quaint office, clean sheets, relaxing music, good atmosphere. Price is very reasonable.

She is awesome. Very strong and works out all the kinks a massage with her after a work out is the best!

Melissa is sublime perfection. Her studio is located in a quiet plaza in MB and is quite peaceful. She has been taking good care of my back for a few months now and I have never had to ask her to adjust the pressure - she seems to know instinctively exactly the right pressure to use. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel very comfortable on her table. Melissa is a keeper!

I haven't had time to write a review until now. I had a massage because I just moved to Cali from NYC. You can imagine the state of my muscles--yup you guessed it, in very bad need of a massage to uncoil my tight muscle fibers! I looked up many massage places and I saw the review for Melissa and decided to go with her.

let me tell you. I am so happy I booked an appt with Melissa! She is awesome, personable and really listened to my pain spots and really worked on them! I definitely need to go back very soon as my work is starting to eat at my muscles yet again!
