Destroying my grass, leaving mail in the weather and rain, and terrible customer service!

Smooth, efficient knowledgeable service. It's so valuable to have a local post office. And Cindy gave my daughter an Airhead candy. Sweet!
Note that because this is a one-person operation, it's closed for lunch from 11-noon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Av8ter 2.Grant-Valkaria, FL011Jul 6, 2023
The woman I spoke with couldn't have been more of an AH.. I politely inquired about a package that was not delivered (watched the guy on video), because I could tell there was an attitude right away. She said "you have mail forwarding you can't pick and choose." Only problem is forwarding is only for first class mail and the delivery guy looked like a contractor delivering 3rd class mail. I guarantee it was sitting at the post office but this"smooth efficient, knowledgable" employee was too damn lazy to check.

My daughter is working overseas for the US Navy in Africa and they have been wonderful helping with her mail. She has had no problems with packages and mail forwarded to her. We appreciate greatly.

I've recently started paying for mailings through Savings Safari. My most recent order of 5000 4x6 cards were never delivered the week of 3/31/21. My parents live in a single family home within Aquarina Beach and Country Club in Melbourne Beach. They're on the list to receive Savings Safari postcards but no one within the community received one last week. I reached out to a couple of my friends that live on A1A in Melbourne Beach in single family homes and none of them got the card either. I also have a friend in Floridana Beach, she never got the card. I approached the mailman in Aquarina yesterday asking if he remembers delivering the 4x6 cards and showed him a picture of what the proof looked like. He explained he was off last week, for his birthday on 4/2. I requested that his manager contact me. The manager of the Melbourne Beach post office, Kim, contacted me and said she never received the 5000 individual 4x6 cards. I ended up reaching out to the Vice President, Steve, with Savings Safari. He claims the 5000 cards were dropped off at the post office but takes no accountability for them physically being delivered. When Steve contacted Kim at the Melbourne Beach Post Office she told him yes, the cards went out. I no longer trust this service.
If I'm paying thousands of dollars on postcards, I expect them to be delivered and having a way of tracking them. Steve from Savings Safari is not offering to refund my money and according to him, the post office doesn't do refunds. I told Steve to cancel all of my future mailings going forward. I'm debating on disputing the charge with my credit card company since neither Steve or the postal service wants to resolve the issue. I've attached a picture of the proof of the post card that should've gone out!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Paul K.Bandera, TX465549292Jul 28, 2014First to Review
The same shitty service you would expect from any other Post Awful. I came right at 9am to pick up a parcel, and these people were acting like the air conditioner was broken and it was 4pm, ready to close.
One guy with glasses (didn't get his name) remarked (in regards to the hours of operation) - "we're special. we close on Saturday, and we even get an hour's lunch every day, so the office is closed." Lucky you - wish I could work for you guys, but I have a college degree, so that automatically disqualifies me!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ingrid E.Melbourne Beach, FL6992May 7, 2018
Friendly service and reliable delivery, Melbeach PO is one of my favorite places to go hear a bit of small town gossip. Melbeach's post office dates back to 1886 when they sent packages on the IRL barge to Melbourne proper. If you get a minute, pop over and see the original P.O. across the street in Rickman Park.

This post office is absolutely terrible. I've been living in Melbourne Beach for five months and in those five months I've received anywhere from 10 to 15 packages and have had some type of issue or problem receiving every single one of them. Not only that, but the employees are exceptionally rude and disrespectful. I called one morning to see if I could provide them with a tracking number to a package that was due to arrive 4 days prior (late as usual) and possibly receive some type of help in any way, shape or form and I was told by the man on the other end of the phone, and I quote, "I don't have time to sit at my computer putting tracking numbers in all day" that was after he chuckled. Unbelievable. I now travel 20 minutes to Melbourne to my sisters house to pick up my packages so they won't have to go thru Melbourne Beach PO...not an inconvenience at all

I think this is the worst customer service for a post office I've ever encountered. Lines are long, clerks are unhelpful. My husband went to get a stop mail card and was given a change of address card instead. When I went right back in to exchange it, the clerk had locked the door. It seems they are closed more than open, and it took 20 minutes for them to answer the phone when I called once. Absolutely shameful!

I'm not surprised the other person writing a review gave a 1 star.
It is easy to find if you're new in town and if you want to make copies, there's a copier inside.
It's only open from 9 to 4 p.m. on weekdays, limited parking, only 1 mail clerk and even the senior citizens are grumpy going in and out or standing in line.
Limited stamp availability.
Not a laid back, easy going beach atmosphere.
But from the few times I've been there, I'd say the senior citizens customers really stress the postal clerks out (overheard one before noon saying he wished he could leave)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
