After reading the ratings, I was hesitate to go, but I had a wonderful experience. I made an appointment for an oil change and I was in and our in less than 45 minutes. They were also half the price for an oil change for full synthetic over their nearby competitors. They were also very friendly, which always helps.

The location on South Cobb drive gets NO stars, but had to select, gees! It's Meineke where Kroger is located. I made an appointment, was 10 min early. The attendant told me it could possibly be 1 to 2 hour wait since they were down a man.. no problem. I didn't mind waiting but then the price that I was quoted over the phone was not the same price at the register. And on top of that, even though the man who was checking me in told me that he would discount $20 for the inconvenience.. it was still higher then the quote of 69.95. He added if I go to The nearby parts house and purchase the oil and the gasket. Then he'll do the oil change for $30 sounds good but I priced everything it would have taken me well over my budget more then his price at the register! So I wound up going to another oil care place where it was $49.99 after my senior discount. Precision Tune on Austell road in Smyrna! They Get 10 Stars!

My car was at the shop for 9 days for a drained battery and alternator replacement. I paid for an original manufacturer part and they put in a remanufactured alternator. Luckily my friend, who knows much more about cars than I do, was handling the situation as I would have driven off not knowing any better. During that 9 day period he was back and forward to the shop just to see what they were doing because he knew it shouldn't take as long as they were taking to fix it.
So I get my car back and the radio is no longer coming on, the check engine light is on, as well as another warning light ....all of which was not a problem before my car came to this shop. So today, the day after I got it back I return to have him look at it. This guy has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. He tells me he can't explain why the radio isn't working but he'll look at the check engine light and to make myself comfortable. I ask how long and he says about an hour before they can look at it. After having my car for 9 days for what should have been a one day job, you would think some sort of "let me look at this quickly since I completely #%^*ed this up" light would come on in his head. Nope. This guy doesn't value his customers, will rip you off, has no sense of urgency and seemingly cares nothing about the work he does or his reputation.

If I could give a negative star I would. The service was horrible. They said they would fix my A/C, made the appointment and the guy called out to work, they told us to bring my truck back & we did but the guy wasn't there & so they said to come back AGAIN & we did. Brought the truck up to the shop first thing in the morning & 3:00pm the truck still wasn't done. And they did not give a courtesy call either. They never answer the phone. Just terrible terrible service! I will never take it to Meineke again!

First let me tell you how much of a nightmare this last three weeks have been, and why I will never go back to a Meineke's again. This review is not just about this location but my experience with Meineke's over the last five weeks in general. I took my vehicle into the Decatur Meineke the day after Thanksgiving. It seemed like a relatively good experience but it did cost me $900 to fix my car. A couple of weeks later I had the same exact problems turn up as I was driving and I had my car towed all the way from Sandy Springs back to Decatur. Turns out the place closed down. However the guy that towed it left my key in the dropbox and I had no access to my car to have it re-towed anywhere. So I had to call customer services to figure out what was going on. They passed my information down to a man named Allen. He call and told me that everybody had walked out of that location in Decatur and that he had a shop in Smyrna. He then told me that he would have somebody come and grab the key from the Decatur location for me and I could have it re-towed to them. He did inform me that it could take them a couple of days to look at as his staff was busy a their location. Which was all fine. I met his guy at the Decatur location on Monday, December 20th and had it towed to their location. By the afternoon of the 23rd I call just to check to see where they were on the car. This is where a man named Charles picked up the phone. I asked him if there was any news on my vehicle. He then informed me that they had zero information on my car and the Decatur location didn't even have recorded of my car being worked on. This was frustrating but I gave Charles my information and I emailed him a copy of my receipt to show him what exactly was worked on. He told me because of the Christmas holiday nobody was going to be back in until the 27th and they would work on my car then. So I was patient. Both Monday and Tuesday came and went and I hadn't heard anything. So I called them on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 29th around 3pm. I different guy answered the phone this time. I didn't catch this guys name. Not even sure if he offered a name. He then informed me that the when they hooked up their equipment to my car the code that it was reading had nothing to do with my acceleration issues. But they had another machine coming in the next day and they were going to re-hook that one up to my car to see what was going on. (This is going to be key to this story.) Again I was very patient about it. However; I didn't hear back from them the next day. As a matter of fact I didn't hear back from anybody until I reached out again the afternoon of Tuesday, January 3rd around 3pm. Again the same man answered the phone that had answered previously. He told me that they were currently looking at my car and I would know something within in an hour. I was thinking great. I am finally going to have some answers. Well I was wrong to think that I would hear back from them that day. It took them 24 hours to call me to let me know what was going on with my car. This time Allen the original guy that I had talked to called me back. He told me it was going to be another $900 to fix. I asked him if it was alright if I called backed him back later as I didn't feel like it was worth putting another $900 was worth it for me. He told me it was fine. After sleeping on it that night I called back the next afternoon and talked to Charles. I told him that I decided not to have it fixed and that I was going to have it towed again. He told me that that was fine. So today a friend of mine who was taking care of the towing for me went in and they told him that they would not let him tow it as I owe them $250 because they brought in an outside mechanic to look at it. None of this was Communicated to me nor did I authorize it. If I knew this was the case I would have re-towed it to somebody that knew what they were doing. This has been one of the most frustrating experience's in my life. Never go to a Meineke's if you want something done right and honestly.

Just downright RUDE!
Me: walked in and saw no one at the front counter. Read the sign that says "ring the bell for service".
Him: walks out of the garage, seemingly annoyed and barely mumbled something under his breath that sounded like, "what do you need...?"
Me: Hi. How are you?
Him: what can I do for you?
Me: Hi. How's your day?
Him: Just looks at me, stares and says nothing.
Me: Hi. Are you doing alright?
Him: What can I do for you?
Me: Nevermind. And I just turned and walked out.
Maybe he was having a bad day or worse. I can't say for sure. But rude is rude. You have a new customer walk into your place of business and you can't even muster up a simple Salutation?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

BMW i8 for brakes My braking has seemed to be not as tight and grabbing as well. So, thought I measured the pads properly just from a outside visual standpoint and thought that I had measured properly. I chose Meineke because of the others I have been to in the past. Nice, clean and professional. This place is run down, dirty, and I think had ONE technician working there.
He took the car to the bay, came back in about 5 min, said we cant get brakes until after 11 am. And the cost is $401.00. There is a reason that I made an appointment at 8:30 am.
So said no I cant wait that long today, I will come back next weekend. With all intentions of doing so. Took the car and as Im driving back to my home, I see Smyrna Tire Plus. And decided to stop there. A friend has been having his tires and brakes done there a few times and said they were fantastic.
So stopped in. Told them I think I need brakes. They took the car to the bay, a professional gentleman came out and said, you do not need brakes. They are 7mm all around. And the BMW i8 has a sensor that will alert you on the dash. So you do not need brakes.
So, the technician at Meineke NEVER inspected the brakes OR they were trying to rip me off.
Here is a tip. If the shop looks like a third rate garage like this Meineke does. Its probably just as shady as your gut tells you.

These are the guys I bring my vehicle to whenever something is malfunctioning. They are very fair, slightly cheaper than the competition and can work on any problem drawn up. I trust this Meineke location and what's important for me to have service done within hours depending on the issue. I highly recommend Meineke to you! If the labor prices was any lower, I'd push for a lower rates...but anywho..see the grade below. You come here with the auto super saver, you are in supreme luck! MCC is a garage that I put my trust into somewhat. It stinks when I go there and I have to wait because you go sit in that tiny room with the tv, you get no bars. Sometimes waiting to get service done blows! However, I recommend MCC.

I scheduled an appointment online in the morning on 4/30/18 for 5:30pm the same day. When I arrived at 5:20pm no one was at the front desk. I waited 10 minutes before someone approached me. When I told the man that I was there for an appointment he said "Ain't gonna happen today". I asked him why not if I had an appointment and he stated that he had three other things to do and had no time. He also asked how I made the appointment and when I said online he stated that the staff does not know how to use a computer. He offered no apology or sympathy for the issue and I left with no oil change.

I wish there were an option for 0 stars. DO NOT GO HERE. Allen at Meineke had my car which he was working on for 3 months with very few updates. He lied about waiting on parts and what he was fixing on the car. He took advantage of the fact that I was not a car expert. He was extremely rude and demeaning. I had to follow up with him daily for any updates. I ended up calling the distributor which they work with and found out that he never contacted them so he was lying to me the entire time while I was without a car for 8 weeks. I ended up picking up my car in worse shape than it originally was in and having to pay close to 1800. I wish I would have read these reviews before going here. I am now waiting on a refund still with no car. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! RUN!!!
