Meijer Express Gas Station

Gas is so expensive right now! And it's almost certainly less expensive in the suburbs, so when I happen to be out in the suburbs I'll check for a cheap gas stop, especially right now. When I was in Barrington over the weekend, my GasBuddy app told me that Meijer was that place.

There's not much to say about a gas station, generally. However, I will say that this one was clean. It's with the Meijer store that's here, which is part of a larger collection of stores so there's at least one or two restaurants nearby. It's relatively large, with probably at least 8-10 pumps, and when I was here there were only one or two others so it wasn't busy. I appreciate that they have a dispenser with gloves to use on the pump, and I'd appreciate that even in non-pandemic times so I hope they keep it up.

Love this place, right now they have 99¢ iced coffee, with a variety of creamers. Which goes great paired with their 89¢ fresh donuts. Everytime I go, the employees are always so friendly and quick. I would give it 6 stars if I could, keep up the wonderful work

Website claims they're 24hrs. Tried to stop in for gas and a bite before work, front doors were locked. Had to leave and go elsewhere.

I've become a very loyal customer to this gas station as of recently. What originally attracted me to this place was that they have the best prices for fuel, especially being that my vehicle requires 93Octane/Premium, I was paying well over $4 in the City...so this just made great sense to me to come here.
Hands down some of the most pleasant employees I've interacted with in a very long time, I'm a HUGE believer in superior customer service..so I was enamored with just how delightful each one of them are, each and every time.
Aside from fuel & great customer service, their little store is stocked with tons of chips, dips, snacks, pop, juice, assorted dairy, energy drinks,coffee drinks, etc...all offered at a decent price. Coolers have a small selection of meats & cheeses and the sort. Always fresh and hot coffee, freshly popped popcorn, and a nice cooler up front that has pre-made deli sandwiches, fresh fruit cups, sausage & cheese cubes, etc.. I had a turkey sandwich from there and it was fantastic and of course hit the spot! Also offered is lottery & tobacco products.
The place is spotless, including counter areas as well as the restrooms. Outside by the fuel pumps are clean & maintained and stocked with squeegees, solvent & paper towels. There are also air machines and a vacuum.
I give this place 5stars and encourage you to stop by and check it out for yourself..you will be pleasantly surprised :)

Meijer's has some of the cheapest gas in the area! I stop here whenever I can to fill up. I locked my keys in my car for the first time in my life here about a month ago. :( When I did so the employees must have thought I was crazy but they were nice and accommodating to my pleas to not tow my car as I got picked up to get my spare keys at home!

Bonus, it's surrounded by a ton of food places!

Octane ain't bad. Typically gas prices are lower than most popular stations and you can buy decent brand groceries without having to walk into a regular Meijer store!

I used to be a loyal customer to their gas station. However, their signage on golf road and near the store has been broken for the last 4 months. As a result you have no idea the cost of gas until you pull into the pump. I asked why the sign wasn't working and they said they are hoping to fix it soon. That was in February! If they really want people's business they should post the price of gas.

I downloaded Gas Buddy (or one of those cheap gas apps) and this place always comes up near the top of the list. I usually find myself at Meijer these days because of my work schedule and if I need gas or will need gas in the near future, I'll swing by the pumps to get a nice price.

I don't often venture inside, however I did once or twice in the past and it was pretty stocked and clean. I couldn't give the 5 stars because I typically only get gas then head home, but this seems like a nicer gas station. I have certianly seen a lot worse.

Unless they shut down or start to jack up their prices, I'll be back later this week to fill up again.

After shopping at Meijer, I had to get gas (what's new) and I had a really nice experience one time (how many of you say this about a gas station).

I am a true dedicated and loyal customer of Meijer because of their great staff as well as great products that they offer.

I had to run to the Chase bank next to the Meijer Gas station so I went ahead and pumped. When I got out of my car to do my thang, an older gentlemen approached me to greet me. First thing I had noticed was that he was the normal greeter I would see greeting me as I would enter Meijer. (I'm a sucker for older cute men). He did startler me a bit as I did not expect someone to approach me to greet me. Of course, he just asked if I was having a good day and if I was interested in opening a Meijer Credit Card. I TOTALLY would, but I didn't want one. He said "That's ok, have a great day ma'am". How ADORABLE was that? I have never been approached at a gas station to be greeter and then asked if I wanted to apply for their credit card. Normally, I would be annoyed by there requests, but I couldn't turn him down since you can tell his sincerity in asking me politely.

All in all, it sure comes to show how dedicated Meijer workers take their job seriously. I admire these workers as I can first hand understand what hard work means. He took that extra step to make sure that he "hit" everyone that came in/by. Would it be wrong if I gave him a hug?? Great staff!
