Unorganized and they do not keep their word on appointments.

Completely frustrated with this company. I called on Friday with an engine that would turn over but not start. Gave them my location along with the VIN so they could look up details. We agreed that he would come Monday. Monday morning I message him to confirm, and I get a call. He's completely forgotten every detail about my vehicle (despite the conversation still being in the text messages). Eventually he tells me I'm too far (He's in ELK Grove I'm in Rocklin). Which is fair enough, but he had ALL that information Friday when I first called.

He could've just let me know right off the bat, and not had me wait. This is especially frustrating because he knew on Friday that my RV was parked on the street, which you are only allowed to do for a limited number of days. Now I'm left calling other companies and hoping I wont be ticketed.

Seems like this guy/company (I can't tell if it's a one man operation or not) is really good if he actually shows up. If however you value communication, trust, and customer-service look else-where. Based on other's reviews looks like I'm not the only person that thinks this company is unreliable.

Also, Mechani-Co, change your damn service area if you can't be bothered to drive out to where you say you will.

Doyal is legit, honest, resourceful AF, and does a great job.

I gave him a call when I was trying to replace the intermediate steering shaft in my tiny Fiat 500e. I was able to remove it, but I wasn't able to get the new one in. No steering, can't drive the car, and I'm stuck.

Called Doyal around 4:45PM to schedule a visit for any day he's available. He was heading home, but he'll swing by on his way and take a look after hours. I happily agreed to his hourly rate.

Turns out the replacement (OEM) FCA part was kinda crap, so he spent some time fixing up the splines in the shaft, then clamped and filed some washers into a wedge to force the part's opening a little larger so it fit correctly. Hella resourceful.

I'm always curious what was needed to fix an issue, and he actually called me over to take a look what he was working on. He explained working in the oil fields and in the military for years made him use what he had to fix whatever issue came up.

After he was able to finagle the new shaft onto the lower splines, he crammed himself under the dash and finished the job by connecting the upper part. Good to go. Took a little over an hour.

Price is extremely fair, especially considering average shop rate, and he comes to you if you screw up your DYI like I did. Would recommend.

Terrible service so far. I had an appointment made with this company to come fix my truck and the guy totally blew me off! He didn't show up as we planned and did not answer my texts or calls. DO NOT RECOMMEND BUSINESS WITH HIM

After hours of waiting for service, AAA told us we were on our own for a flat on our RV. Doyal of Mechani-Co was able to come out and assist us. By now it was an after hours call but he said he would help us. When the spare tire holder proved difficult to release, he had all the tools necessary to accomplish the job. Thanks Doyle, you saved our trip.

I'm just going to leave a few words here and not go into too much detail l, BUT THIS GUY IS AWESOME AND KNOWS A LOT ABOUT CARS. yes, I was screaming that in my head while typing this out. For months I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my dads car, and then not even 5 minutes Doyle was able to figure out the problem. Thanks so much dale, you helped a lot!

Doyal is the best! I don't know much about cars but as he was working on my car, he gave me some knowledge and wanted me to know what exactly was wrong with my car and what he was doing to fix it. I had him work on my 2005 Honda Civic. He changed my battery and alternator because my car was not starting at all. He came to my car which was left at a gas station out in Elk Grove. I'm not from the area and I needed to get back to the Bay Area. I was only on planning on getting my battery changed but it wasn't guaranteed that I would exactly make it back all the way to the Bay without getting a new alternator as well. Thanks to Doyal I was able to make it back home safely with his suggestion of getting my alternator fixed.

Horrible service!
It says they are open and they even picked up the phone to talk to you.
But if they don't want to help you out they will let you know we aren't taking any calls this whole weekend.
Kind of strange after you were willing to help out a couple or mins ago.
Please don't go with this service it is a waste of time.

A real pro. Although he couldn't repair my old Toyota, he checked it out with due diligence on a hot Sunday afternoon. I have no question he can do the job on other cars. Very thorough and professional!

My car I had work done on wasn't my daily driver, but I wanted done before I left for the military. I called and the same day Doyle responded and showed up. I needed my wheel bearings changed.

This was my project car and he allowed me to hang around and watch and learn and even help out fixing my vehicle. The job was a great learning experience for me and I loved that he allowed me to watch and learn.

This company has great pricing and they ensure the job gets done and done right. As for Doyle, he is not only a great mechanic but a great teacher as well. I can see him teaching future mechanics if he ever decided to step away from being a mechanic.

I can go on about how grateful I am for Doyle's help but all I can say is I highly recommend Mechani-Co for your auto needs.

tl;dr: Mechani-Co is fair in pricing, will teach you so many things, and will go above and beyond what they need to do for you and your car. I've probably found my mechanic!

Doyal was simply amazing! My check engine light was flickering orange + my car had a low rumbling to it (I was panicking, thinking my car was gonna burst into flames). This was a Sunday evening, so of course it was hard to even find someone who was open at this time. Called Mechani-Co after looking on yelp and google for a good half hour. Doyal picked up after hours and since I was around his area, I drove to where he was. He explained what he was doing, what he thought was going on, and even showed me how to do some things that I really ought to know (what to watch out for under the hood, how to change my wipers, etc). Went to the store to pick up what we needed to fix my car and by the end, my car was running the way it was supposed to. I never felt pressured to do anything additional to my car (but if he had suggested that I needed anything else, I would have done it-no questions asked).
