We came to McKinney High School on a Saturday morning for my granddaughter's dance recital. There was ample parking and it was pretty easy to find your way in.
They really could use more signage outside to direct visitors to what part of the building you are entering. Lots of steep steps, although there is a handicap ramp of course, as required by law.
It's located right across the street from Town Lake Recreational Area, which is a nice bonus, that it's in a beautiful setting.
The restrooms are adequate and well located in the spacious lobby.
Overall, a great venue for hosting the event we attended.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mille S.San Francisco, CA01Sep 12, 2023
School isn't kept up and unorganized. Staff and teachers aren't up to standards. Their biggest priority is keeping a good image despite the fact they treat majority of kids unfair. No better than Mckinney Boyd.

this school is trashy, is not kept up at all, as a student, the boys bathrooms are horrible and the floors are dirty.

I came to Mckinney High for a lacrosse game on the football field. It was a very cold spring afternoon. It had been sprinkling on and off. The ramp to get to the seating was very slippery. I saw several people loose their footing.
My main gripe about McKinney High's field has always been the convoluted way you have to enter the seating. You must enter the stadium in the north end, but the seating is more toward the center.
The lines are very clearly marked for the out of bounds. Also, don't forget to bring stadium seats. They don't have seat backs.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Mona I.McKinney, TX40947Aug 19, 2021
Registration and admission was very smooth. We had to make schedule changes and found it to be rewarding. The staff pays close attention to the requirements of their students. They are patient and understanding. We weren't rushed to make decisions and the suggestions were helpful.
If your student has a disability, they accommodate carefully, listening to your concerns. They want to make goals achievable so the student can feel confident, progressing with a great effort without pressure.
We shall see how the school year pans out. However, my student and I are very hopeful all will be well as they provide a great team support.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristin B.McKinney, TX27Oct 20, 2017
I can tell you this- as far as teachers go- this is a FIVE STAR School all-the-way! Every teacher I have encountered has been fully invested in the kid's welfare. Truly caring people that have many years tenure at the same school. The sports program under Coach Smith is outstanding. The team cohesiveness and skill improvement I have witnessed under Coach Dixon (Tennis team) has been inspiring. The school was recently remodeled and has a great flow! Go LIONS! Great job with our kids!
