If I could give 10 stars.....or more....I would. These guys are BEYOND helpful. They are knowledgeable and kind. They give piles of samples before you make any decisions! They always ship to me, because I live in Santa Cruz, with zero hesitation! With MM closed and now under a new name, same great staff.....better products! I stop by every chance I get and say hi and grab something old, and something new:)

Long overdue review for my guys at MMSM!

Jay, Tri, Neeks.. everyone in this thang are top notch dudes. They all take care of you like family! Extremely informative.. these guys know their stuff! Not like some big named companies (like GNC) where it's a shot in the dark for an informative representative.

They make the visit extremely smooth and are always available to answer any questions from supplement suggestions to dieting tips and tricks. Jay will always hook it up with a sample (or two or three or five)!

This has been my go to store for anything bodybuilding related.. they even have tanning booths in the back to stay crispy In the off season!

Jason is so friendly, he remembers his customers by name, I'm impressed. He gave us a bunch of samples to take home, my husband and I ended up going back to purchase the items we sampled. Excellent customer service, we will keep going back

My go- to place and Jason is my go-to guy! I've been here.. quite a few more times than I really should. haha. Which says quite a bit! Always hooks it up with the best knowledge in regards to supplements and what will enhance your body to its full potential. Samples on samples, with drinks made up front. I take my time here and whenever I'm curious about something, Jason explains it in a way where I fully understand what the product will do for my body. I could not be happier with the customer service that is provided here!

I've had the pleasure to work with both Dustin and Nico. Both are extremely knowledgeable about the products and fitness in general. You can tell they work out and are really into the fitness industry. These guys are not your average salesman at GNC (Seriously, GNC sucks balls. But that's a story for another day). While, yes, they are there to sell their products, they can give you the rundown on each product: what it is, what it does, how does it help you and would it be recommended for your fitness regiment. I tested their knowledge with some questions such as what are the benefits of L-Carnitine supplements and BCAAs. They were able to give me super detailed answers. When I asked an associate at GNC, they gave me the answer that was printed on the container and nothing more.

What makes this place so great is that they really care for their customers. When I first came in with Amy T., we asked Dustin a bunch of questions about fitness, lifting and how to gain muscles. He recommended a few things and let us try a lot of different supplements to see how they are before we buy them. Seriously, I felt like I was taking home $20 worth of supplements for free to try out. We ended up coming back to get Emerge (pre-workout), Max Pro Meal Replacement and their BCAAs. Dustin even offered to do a body fat analysis and offer some suggestions for cutting the next time I come in!

Great place! 5/5. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get into shape, getting supplements, or a bit of both. Super professional and friendly people!

Been going here for a couple of years now! And they never fail. Jason and Nico are my go to guys. These guys know their stuff and are always very friendly and welcoming. Jason is awesome. He always tends to hook me up with a ton of samples and to be honest, that keeps me coming back. They definitely got my loyalty for sure. I live in the east bay now and I still make it out to San Mateo to grab my stuff!

Every time I come to this shop, I am greeted like a member of the family. Every associate that works here has a wide breadth of knowledge on not only the brands they carry, but the ingredients in them. They know what's what and tell it to me straight.

You'll never find a more awesome and honest supplement shop around. The store layout is also super easy for any novice supplement shopper to browse at their own leisure.

On a side note, Nico is number one, hands down the expert at all things fitness. I've not trusted anyone else but him to guide my nutritional needs to meet my personal fitness goals, big or small.

Also a plus, located in a nice area and the parking is cheap!

Nico was nice, helpful, and very knowledgable. I came in to buy glutamine and he helped out a lot. He dropped some knowledge on me on glutamine and a few other supplements. He knows his stuff.

If you're new or unfamiliar with supplements. Come to Max Muscle and ask for Nico. He'll work with you. So don't be afraid to ask questions. You'll have better understanding of what you are taking when you walk out.

After my purchase he gave me a few supplement samples and a shaker which was very nice of him. I most definitely will be coming back again.
