Seriously, Lisa saved my breastfeeding relationship with my newborn. Just when I was on the verge of a breakdown, she swooped in and helped me come up with a troubleshooting plan to jumpstart breastfeeding. I went from successfully breastfeeding once a day to the recommended 8-12 times/day because Lisa was able to show me proper latch techniques and how to calm baby before feedings.

She's warm, patient, and thorough. (Not to mention affordable.). She also makes herself available via text/phone even after the home visit is over. I'll be recommending her to all of my newly pregnant friends!

Lisa came to our lives as a recommendation from a postpartum doula. Lisa was very descriptive with the information and feedback provided, always keeping our emotions and unique family in mind. She was amazing at listening to our concerns and giving us a straight answer without judgement to us, which is very important to new parents as well as mothers who want to breastfeed their babies.
I learned so much from her and her observations lead us to visit other professionals and solved other problems that weren't even in our radar. It's awesome to feel like someone understands and cares about you and your baby as much as you do. I would recommend her a million times to any and all moms who are ready to problem solve any latching or lactation challenges they might be facing.

Liz was such an amazing support system throughout my breastfeeding journey. I have no doubt that I wouldn't have gotten to where I am without her help. She is so knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic. She listened and truly cared. When challenges arose she never quit and led us to so many other specialists to help with my son's. Those people were also invaluable and I wouldn't have found them without her. She went above and beyond and I couldn't be more grateful! I would recommend her to anyone who is considering breastfeeding!

Lisa was so amazing to work with! She was able to fit me in her schedule quickly when I was having an urgent new momma concern. She came to the house and really went over everything with me and the babe. I felt like she really cared about me as a person and as a mom and being a mom with a newborn that doesn't always happen. I have done the support group through Prenatal Fit for new moms with both of my babies. Lisa is incredibly supportive, and I have made connections with other moms that are going through similar struggles. I really recommend the new moms group if you are having a hard time during the 4th trimester, or just looking for a mom friend to hang out with!

I would give Lisa even more stars if I could. There is no way I would be enjoying breastfeeding (or even still breastfeeding) if it wasn't for her knowledge and encouragement. She is everything I needed in a lactation consultant--real, not pushy, and considers a holistic perspective (mom, baby and health of both) in her consultations.

As a new mom recovering from a traumatic birth experience, Norma was a Godsend. I most likely would've given up breastfeeding if it weren't for her guidance. They are also one of the few consultants that are covered by insurance that I came across. One less thing to worry about postpartum.

I have worked professionally with Lisa and Maternal Child Connections the last three years. Lisa approaches the postpartum period holistically in a way that is hard to find anywhere else. I am a therapist and refer all of my clients who need help breastfeeding, want to be in a new mom group, or who need a postpartum doula, to Lisa. Lisa meets new moms where they are at. She is mindful of their mental and physical health and is knowledgeable of resources due to her involvement in the community and dedication to collaborating with other perinatal professionals. She is an IBCLC and is also trained as a nurse, which I feel informs her work with new moms in a meaningful way. I trust Lisa and am grateful she is in my network of professionals I can work with and refer to.

I joined Lisa's New Mom Support Group at Prenatal Fit when my daughter was just a few weeks old. Six months later, I'm still so grateful I did it. Lisa truly helped me build up my confidence as a first time mom. From just getting out the door (which in those early weeks was a feat!), to breastfeeding support, to learning about other new-mom topics, it was exactly what I needed. I also met an amazing group moms who I continue to text and meet up with to this day. I highly recommend the class!

I contacted Lisa for help latching my 1 week old. I called her in a bit of a panic due to my daughter's decreasing weight and refusal to breastfeed. She got me in the next day, a Sunday. She was extremely helpful and reassuring. She took in all of our info, watched us feed, weighted her before and after the feeding.

The most helpful part of Lisa's service were the follow ups. She was available by phone and text for weeks and weeks after our session. I don't know any other professional that puts that time and energy into their service. She was not only available, but checked in with me.
