Go here for the coffee, stay for the sliced cakes!
They have the best selection of single-sliced cakes. I'm not sure where they order them from, but they are always delicious and present well.
The parking is easy... its neighborhood parking. All within a block or two.
The coffee is strong and delicious.
They make delightful smoothies. They are pretty heavy. Each one is like a meal.
And the best part of this place is the service.... nice, friendly, and warm.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 16117251Feb 19, 2024
"You can't rate Martha's, they just get to exist" says my partner as I load up Yelp.
As always, morning bun being my barometer, I entered Martha's with a stern face for I have made being the morning bun police my whole personality the second I step into any establishment that sells them
I was immediately disarmed by the friendly staff and my brow unfurrowed, pretty sure my voice cracked too (embarassing)
Morning bun was solid, a slightly larger pinch if sugar than to my liking but the outside was firm and the inside was soft and comforting, I'll be around again, my brow hopefully steadfast next timeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Martha and Brothers Coffee Shop is quite alright. I went here recently with my beloved. She enjoyed her homemade chai. Sana'a Cafe is her favorite spot for chai in San Francisco or anywhere for that matter. We both enjoyed the vibe and friendly service here. Martha and Brothers has many cakes along with sweets including many homemade vegan ones aka a vegan brownie, vegan layered bar, and vegan pumpkin bread. I simply went with a herbal tea that I enjoyed. Worth checking out if in Bernal Heights.

Beautiful Sunday mornings call for a coffee date! My fiancé and I came here with our dog, as they have a few tables and chairs outside. We tried the Cold Brew and the Horchata Cold Brew with oat milk. The Horchata Cold Brew was delicious! Perfect balance of flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.
We came by around 10am and it was pretty busy with people coming in for a quick coffee run to people taking a seat inside to enjoy some of the yummy pastries they also sell.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This is such a cute cafe and it was decorated for fall. I got the date shake and absolutely loved it. I also got the deluxe bagel with sausage and no cheese and that was pretty good too. Love all the baked goods on display. Looking forward to try more of them next time.

Cute cafe with sooo many pastries and large menu! The cafe is spacious and there are lots of tables but it was quite busy when I came on a weekend afternoon. I was able to get a table and enjoyed a good latte. Staff were friendly. Overall, had a good experience and would recommend.

My coffee didn't taste fresh, and they don't allow you to add your own milk to the coffee. They do it for you which sucks because when I told them leave room for milk they only added like 2 splashes. I like a lot of milk in my coffee.
Huge selection of treats and sandwiches that are very reasonably priced.
Minus one star for the bot fresh coffee and how they let locals shout out their order so that they bypass people waiting in line. They also serve you faster if you tip.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 812719Apr 19, 2023
The staff here is so friendly, and you can tell this a popular neighborhood coffee spot! It was so busy at 7am on a Wednesday, and most regulars walked here with their kids or dogs.
Their espresso was so-so, nothing to write home about. But but but their pastry offerings were ABUNDANT, like no exaggeration. There have tow tables worth of cakes, pastries, bagels, empanadas, cold lunch options (sandwiches/salads), bottled beverages, cookies,... you name it!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Dec 3, 2022
I went there on a Saturday afternoon.
Very cool place with an amazing Christmas decoration.
I loved it . Too bad every table was occupied and I couldn't sit inside .
It was a rainy day and was not a good time to sit outside.
Great employees.
Great coffee and lots of different types of cakes, biscuits and sweetsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 26, 2023
I had the first Massala Tchai of my life here, and it felt quite romantic to sip it with the view of the cute church across the street. The lady who took care of my order provided with a warm, welcoming service. Was very pleasant. They might want to constantly keep an eye on empty tabletops for crumbles and stuff, though.
