      Came here twice.
First time, I had the time of my life.
Second time, it had all been done.
I have not had their famous Margaritas, but heart good things about them.
I love the volcano nachos and tried their burger and fries. The burger was average. As many people have said, this place is wicked expensive. Even for a casino restaurant.
The star attraction is fun to see, but once you see it the fun is taken away so stay off of youtube or the surprise will be ruined and you will end up spending $15 on an entree between gambling sessions.
They have gluten free food which is great for people on the fad diet or someone who has Celiac Disease.
The service was top notch. Waiter checked in on us enough times where I couldn't possibly be waiting for anything. Some people are annoyed by this, but I prefer it since some places don't even check to see if you need another drink, in fact he even brought me another soda the minute I hit the 4 oz. line.
Aside from the music, the service, and the association to the Buffet, this place is a nice little restaurant, but focused more around the drinks and atmosphere than 5 star dinner courses.

Very nice staff, friendly waiter Joe.
The nachos were filling and good.
About $17 for this large plate (Nov 2018)
Maybe not real cheese but still a good large appetizer choice. Two of us could not finish it !
The place is very clean and nicely decorated

I can't believe all the bad reviews!! My experience here was great!! I ate here for my Birthday and it was everything I expected and more. The exterior and interior are beyond visually appealing and just lots of fun. Upon going in they have a cute little gift shop area where you can buy shirts and souvenirs. We were sat right away and in a pontoon themed table of all things!! So cool. Our waitress was chill and brought our drinks out right away. I had the watermelon margarita in the "booze in a blender" souvenir cup, it was amazing.

The menu has a little of everything and all they play is country music so I was loving every minute of it. Our food came out super hot and so so delicious. I don't know why people complain about small portions here..I couldn't even finish my chicken fingers..which I wanted to :). Plenty of food for the price. Also, I asked the waitress when the show happens (the big margarita blender doing its thing in the middle of the restaurant) and she started it up for me.

Next thing you know jimmy buffet's "margaritaville" starts playing and a big bottle drops from the ceiling and the whole place is in awe. I was having to much fun. I can't wait to come back here again I just loved everything about it.

Very long wait for okay food.

We waiting 45 minutes for a table, but I guess it's typical for most restaurants in Mohegan Sun have long waits on Saturday nights. We were seated on the 2nd floor where they seem to sit most groups.

We started with the Volcano Nachos, which I admit, was better than I thought it would, but that might have been my hungry stomach talking. I had the Shrimp Scampi Linguine for my main dish. I thought it was very bland and only ate about half of it.

Service was actually very good. As we were leaving, we asked one of the staff what that big upside-down mountain looking thing was on the ceiling, and they were very kind to demonstrate the "show". A huge bottle dropped down from the ceiling as it filled up an even bigger blender with margarita. Definitely cool to see.

I've always wanted to eat at a Margaritaville, and I finally got my chance while at Mohegan Sun. The restaurant practically screams vacation so why not?

Walking in, the hostess immediately asked if anyone in our party was vegetarian or gluten-free - not sure why, but if I had to guess they might get a special menu (I didn't ask though). Anyway, the restaurant (as expected), had that island feel to it - mostly a nautical theme with lots of pastels, parrots, and boats. We were seated in a booth shaped like a boat, and there was a TV screen playing Jimmy Buffett-esque tunes throughout our meal.

Being in Margaritaville, I needed to try a margarita. They call their classic margarita "Who's To Blame" (based off the lyrics in the song). I decided to get it frozen - it was very refreshing and not overly strong. We started with the pretzel sticks, four big ones that came with cheese and mustard dipping sauces - simple but carblicious. For my main I had the Cheeseburger In Paradise (another Buffett song) - a burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and "paradise island sauce" (i.e. Thousand Island dressing). Beef is standard but you can swap it for veggie or turkey (I chose turkey). You can also choose between regular fries, sweet potato fries, or salad as a side. The burger was flavorful and the fries were just that - fries.

Service was good, our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout. When it comes to chains, I usually have low expectations, order conservatively, and end up not being disappointed (unless it's really bad). With Margaritaville, the food was typical chain but it was tasty so overall I had a good experience.

      Everybody sing!

Nice from far but far from nice !

Splurged on decor but extremely skimpy and cheap ! 2 orders of CHICKEN quesadillas, received 2 orders of what seemed like CHEESE quesadillas. They were loaded with cheese and a few scraps of chicken. Highly disappointed, waitress gave no apology, sent back food and decided to gamble ordering the trio appetizer which was subpar and mediocre. Would definitely not recommend despite how aesthetically pleasing to the eye this spot may seem.

Came in for a late lunch on a Sunday. The place wasn't busy but we sat at the bar. I ordered a landshark. My girl started with a water then a chocolate banana drink. The bartender Michelle Was nice. We both ordered the surf & turf medium rare. Substituting the fries for a salads. It took a while for the food to come out. 20 minutes I'd say. Both came with fries which she caught and brought back. A minute later she brought out the correct order. My steak was cooked medium but tastes good. My girls was correct. Our shrimp on the stick was warm at best. I've been here many many times. A Buffett fan and I enjoy Margaritaville almost every time I come. Service is never an issue. If there is an issue like today it always seems it's the kitchen. They need to work on that. So today. 3 out of 5. Long live Jimmy.

What better place to go for Cinco de Mayo! Called ahead and got priority seating for 5:30. A busy time but surprisingly there was a table for the four of us with only a 5 minute wait. Tropical decorated establishment made us feel the mexican vibe. Started off with a 5 o'clock somewhere beverage-a fruity expensive $11.50 beverage you'd think would knock your socks off after a few sips but alas, nothing. Tried another and fail-still not feeling it. Ordered nachos-a huge helping for four but picked out alot of plain chips. Most of the toppings were just on top of mound. Loved the taco salad! Definately enough to feed two people. Fajitas delicious as well as ribs. Will be back. Great overall service.

Update: Came back again to enjoy some margaritas and have to say we were pretty disappointed with how bland everything tasted. The nachos you see in the picture here in Yelp is not how ours looked lol. Again huge mound of chips but just a few toppings on top and cheese was hard and cold. How do you mess up nachos twice for us? Impress us please. Two $10 margaritas and no buzz! They were very sweet and didnt taste any hint of tequila. Had the chicken fajitas and the chicken stuck to the pan while trying to wrap it. Had to scrape it out with a knife and i kept thinking this pan probably wasnt cleaned. I never return food but i was very close. Husband ordered the ribs. He had a few and stopped eating....left half his food. I tried with fork to take a piece of rib meat and it was rock hard. These meals are pricey too!!! Need to step up their game.

Wanted this 5 o'clock somewhere to knock my socks off but sadly disappointed.

I went here with a large group and ordered a grilled chicken with mango salsa and rice. It was delicious. For a chain restaurant most of their food is really good. The service was great hence usually service is lacking when there is a large group and this place was busy when we arrived. Great atmosphere and kid's friendly environment. They usually have someone walking around making hats and animals out of balloons for children.

      This really is a 2.5.

We came in at 6:45 on a Friday night - place was empty. They sat us up on the 2nd/3rd level even though the whole downstairs was open but had awesome lively music playing. I would only recommend coming here to drink and party...

We started with the volcano nachos - they came out looking amazing but there was only toppings on one side and all the chips underneath had no topping either. It is more of a volcano of chips.

My fish tacos were very bland. There was definitely no lime in the crema ( you put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up... ohh wait... they skipped the lime) and no flavor at all to the cilantro coleslaw. The fish was cooked perfectly though. The beans that came with it were great black beans.

My friend had the chimichurri steak - which she said was very good. She asked for it cooked well and by the time she got to the middle it was almost raw. They did bring it back and cook it more ... but nothing really tastes good when they reheat it.

Our drinks were good. I had the frozen tropical Mango marg was good and made perfectly.

There was a massive line of people waiting to get in when we were leaving - which really didn't make sense to me since the whole level we were on was 1/2 empty.

Prices were a little high but nothing I wouldn't expect in a casino.

Stopped in for a late lunch today. My fiancee had a free appetizer comp from her last visit, so we figured we'd stop in to use it, get some drinks also.

My fiancee ordered a Blackberry Moonshine margarita, I went with the seasonal Sam Adams, Cold Snap. For the appetizer, we ordered the Lava Lava Shrimp. I went with a Rancho Deluxe Burger for my entree, my fiancee ordered a Taco Salad.

Well, my fiancee's margarita was boring, tasteless, nothing special. Nowhere worth the $11 they charged us for it. I thought the Lava Lava shrimp appetizer was OK tasting, liked the aioli sauce, but I felt the portion size was pretty skimpy. My fiancee felt the shrimp themselves were over-cooked, tough & chewy. Basically it was a lame appetizer, if it hadn't been "free", we would've been upset.

My fiancee was pretty upset though when her Taco Salad arrived to the table (after a wait of approx 20 to 25 minutes, a table seated afterwards received their food before us). The Taco Salad looked disgusting (see my pic), and we wondered if sewage tasted the same. Stale, tasteless tortillas (which we question if they were really tortillas). Lettuce had brown edges also. My fiancee was extremely disappointed, she couldn't eat much of this Taco Salad. We spoke to the manager, they did the right thing by removing the salad from the bill.

My Rancho Deluxe Burger, on the other hand, was pretty good, I liked it a lot.

Service was decent, our waiter, Pshemek, was a nice guy. Wasn't his fault that the food (with the exception of my burger) was lousy.

We've been to Margaritas at Mohegan Sun several times now. ** WHAT I RECOMMEND -- STICK WITH THE BURGERS, THE WINGS ARE A GOOD APPETIZER. GET A BEER, NOT AN EXPENSIVE MIXED DRINK. FISH TACOS ARE DECENT TOO. IF YOU STRAY TOO FAR FROM THIS RECOMMENDATION, YOU WILL SURELY BE DISAPPOINTED **
