The service here was prompt with an appointment. Staff were very friendly and we were pleased with the cut. The waiting area was comfortable with beverages available. Great place.

Ricci Parisi did a great job on my hair color. She took her time to make sure that she met my expectations prior to proceeding. She also explained the steps as she was executing the hair process. She also did a nice job in layering my hair.

I was visiting from Idaho for the holidays. I spontaneously googled a salon and made an appointment with Krystal. I was apprehensive as one never knows what to expect. She did a color and foil wrap, which turned out great! My hair looks natural with sun streaked highlights. The cut is cute and stylish. I was very pleased and will definitely be back when I am in the area.

I left the salon feeling dissatisfied. My stylist seemed rushed and therefore did not fulfill my requests.

I have been going to Carmen for several years and absolutely love her. I moved up here 9 years ago and have gone to different salons but wasn't able to find someone who blows out hair the way I like until I started going to Carmen.
The salon has a beautiful atmosphere and comfortable. Reasonable prices and they do more than just hair.

Best haircut I've ever gotten. The only bad thing... I live all the way in Brooklyn! Can we meet half way? Honestly though, it was definitely worth the drive. Main Street Cutters was recommended by a friend who lives around there and it went well beyond my expectations. I got a cut and color from Kristen, who took her time and explained why certain colors and cuts were or were not for my skin tone or for my small face.

I think it needs to be said that I live in the Greenpoint/ Williamsburg area of Brooklyn which has nothing but the newest and trendiest of places popping up every other day. This includes 2 great hair salons within 2 blocks from me. Also, I work in the city, and have access to any of the top rated salons. Still, I choose Main Street Cutters over any of those.

Everyone there was very sweet and the experience was a pleasure. The salon is very clean and the staff made me feel very comfortable as soon as I walked in.

I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

It probably seems odd that my go-to hair salon (as someone living in NYC) would be Main Street Cutters, but I've had many a haircut in both yuppity Manhattan salons and "under the L in Bensonhurst cheap cuts" that have ended up disasterous. I don't trust anybody except for the ladies at MSC. I expecially don't trust myself.

Contrary to popular belief, until April of 2012 I was a natural blonde. My hair has so many colors in it I truly thought it would be impossible to get highlights that had that natural look. With my wedding a few weeks out, I finally gave in and went to Kristen to color my hair before my big day (an "upstate" friend had raved about her work). I had no idea what the hell was going to happen but trusted her fully. The worst that could happen is I wear a wedding wig, right?

I literally couldn't believe it when she was done. It was like she magically took my winter dull dark blonde hair and transformed it to look as though I had those highly coveted natural "August" highlights. Anybody who has spent a summer in NYC knows what I'm talking about. The colors stayed amazing and looked great once summer came and my natural highlights came through.

Last week I bought a box of hair color because I figured I could just do it myself. "How hard could this be???"

Learned my lesson.

I now look like Streak-Master-Flex and will be going back to MSC (and swear to never use another bottle of at home hairdye) as soon as possible to fix this hot mess on my head. It is totally worth the drive to get my hurrr done right.

Been coming to this salon since 2006, and I'll never go anywhere else. No matter which stylist you get, you'll have a great experience. Service is top-notch, and great, relaxing atmosphere. Slightly more expensive than other places in town (from what I hear), but worth it.

We scheduled a bridal party 2 weeks before the wedding and they were simply fantastic. The nail technicians did a great job (I would know because I have a license) and Chrissy, our hair stylist, was phenomenal. She came to the Thayer hotel and did a beautiful job on our updos, which stayed through the ceremony and ENTIRE reception. If I lived closer to West Point, this would definitely be my salon. Jennifer, the bridal services booker, was very helpful and sweet, especially since the bride was overseas and we had to arrange everything via an intermediary (aka moi) and/or email.

Its my favorite haircut place in the Cornwall area and I've tried a ton of them...nice atmosphere, staff is very friendly, place is clean...Kristen is my fave for hair and Annie gives the best facial ever. Reasonably priced, plenty of parking...and I have a fabulous haircut, my whole family goes there.
