Main Course Marketplace

Main Course were really the stars of our wedding. We had an unprecedented number of compliments from our guests saying that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I, personally, was really impressed by how fresh and flavorful all of the ingredients were. The presentation, not just on the plate, but also of the cocktails, appetizers, and desserts, were all stellar.

Main Course is truly farm-to-table and has been since the 80s. It shows. They know what they're doing. Bruce, the owner and chef, is creative, inventive, and sophisticated, and we loved that he challenged our palate in a delightful and elegant manner. Our coordinator was Amanda, and I can't say enough good things about her. She was professional to a T, really just a perfect contact throughout the whole process.

Our wedding was perfect and I really think that it was because of Main Course's excellent cuisine and guidance in the planning process. This is actually the only review that I'm writing for my wedding (well, I might review the venue as well), and I'm doing it because we were so pleased with the meal, the presentation, and the process.

Very much enjoy you bus your own table and have to go boxes, utensils,free water cups and napkins all out for you. Don't have to wait for servers or worry about tipping. The menu is just right not too large or too small, plus love pencil in chart for what you want for custom salads. Prices are bit high here, but i can say the menu had very creative libraries and only freshest ingredients, so it's a toss up. The meatloaf sandwich was great, very filling and well seasoned, with plenty of ketchup and gooey cheese, plus the bread was toasted well and did not get soggy. Potato salad I agree with others on here, it's very good, used to plain Jane potato salad and here it's a savory gravy type sauce. Beef empanadas, I did find like other review mentioned it tasted like sloppy Joe sauce and ground beef, shame too since crust has artistic braiding and chimachurri sauce was good. Both the scones, were softest scones ever, but I wish flavor was more pronounced, since barely tasted the coconut flavor for one and the strawberry lemon in the other. The coconut pandas petit gateau was truly amazing, the shell itself was sweet and soft, filling between the lime coconut mousse and crusty cookie crust underneath was very good, the dessert reminded me of chocolate mousse bomb. Definitely will have come back to try the build your own salad, and trust me this place gets very crowded during noon, so best time is between 11am when open to noon, if you want get a table to eat in and not get stuck behind a long line

I stopped here to get a light lunch and for a rest stop during a road trip. Although the listing makes it seem like a food court, it is actually a single ordering counter that offers coffees and a variety of prepared food items. I wanted something light, so I tried the empanadas with chimichurri. Although the portion size was good, the filling tasted like "sloppy Joe" meat, and the sauce was sweet. The restaurant has ample indoor seating, and a nice outdoor deck. Parking is limited, and I was lucky to arrive before the lunchtime crowd.

The food is so fresh and delicious here! I had the split pea soup and the Campanelli''s Organic Oven Roasted Chicken. The presentation of the chicken exceeded my expectations, it looked awesome and tasted better.

The staff is very friendly and quick. I waited about 6 minutes for my food. You can see the chefs cooking right at the counter, it's so cool!

Inside the restaurant, there is a lot of seating. They don't do table service, you order and pick up your food at the counter and sit wherever you'd like. He place is very clean anhave free water

Main Course Marketplace is always a good option to get good eats if you are in New Paltz. They even have a small parking lot! (If you know New Paltz you know this is a big deal). They have a great selection of salads, sandwiches, soups and other entres. I usually order the chicken Caesar salad and it never disappoints.

They also have an area where you can buy premade drinks, meals and other items like things for your kitchen.

There is plenty of seating and you have to bus the table after yourself but that's part of the charm and what makes Main Course feel homey.

Main Course is a must visit in the New Paltz area for anyone with a gluten allergy. It is a little pricey, but so worth it. They have many gluten free options, GF bread, cookies, scones and many other things. They have a rotating menu with new options all the time. Their teas are made in house and addicting. I tried their plum spices (cold) and their peach/ginger (hot). They staff was very nice and answered all my allergy questions. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outside has heat lamps so you can enjoy the beautiful views on the mountains in the colder weather.
There is no table service. You order at the counter and they call your name on the speaker.
They also have grab and go selections, pies and many other baked goods.
Dogs are welcome on the patio.

I enjoy my meal and tasted everyone at the table. All are interesting. They would have been over the top with an upgraded olive oil.

Best chopped salads near and far. These are so good that you may find yourself craving those delicious over the top satisfying salads.

Great food . All cooked fresh. Takes a bit to come out. But worth the worth.
At lunch is gets busy. A small line to order but good comes relatively quick.
Lots of seating area. Small tables in front. Larger stable in side room. Outdoor seating and bench seating
Overall do lunch here when you can.

This is my very favorite place to eat in New Paltz! I moved away but, when I visit I make sure to get a meal there. Everything is top notch! My favorite is M.C. Veggie Burger with a side of tabbouleh. I get it vegan with extra chutney. It is absolutely delicious! This time, I was starving and got a medium chopped salad as well. The salad is huge! It was a treat so I added a cocktail. If you're in New Paltz, go!

Great little place. Ordered from the highway on our way to Vermont. Told them we would arrive in 1/2 hour. Everything was properly prepared and delicious. Avocado toast was topped with fabulous micro greens. Omelette was light and fluffy. Had sautéed onion's mushrooms and cheddar cheese. Came with potatoes, an English muffin and fresh fruit.
