Called 3 times about a used boat on BoatTrader.com and was assured all three times I would get a call back from the owner. Never heard anything. Finally got frustrated and went down to South Attleboro Marine and picked up a brand new 225LR. At least you can communicate with someone there instead of left hanging!

Mahopac Marine is a community minded family-run business. This is the first year I've had a boat there and I have been handled with kid gloves by everybody on the staff. They have all the accessories you may need for boating. Full service is available while they're open for gas and any other issues that may arise. They have a rental boat as well for those who are not lucky enough to own a boat. The rental boat is a beautiful, easy to use pontoonboat They give full service instructions on how to use it. They also have a full yard with barbecue pits and a beautiful boat house with a deck to watch the stunning Lake Mahopac sunsets. Kayakers are welcome and storage is available. Wister storage and tuneups are available for boats as well.

I wish I could give them no stars. These people are crooks and worse, they will smile to your face while they are robbing you blind. They know when they have you in a position where you have no choice but to pay their exorbitant fees. Charlie seems nice but notice he will never get on the phone especially when it comes to talking about money. They overcharged us to rescue a boat. Then gave us a verbal estimate of $750 to destroy our boat which then turned into a written estimate of $1700. When we said forget it they then told us they would start charging us storage charges of $36 a day!!

My family and I decided it was time to purchase a boat. We drove by mahopac marina and saw the exact one we wanted. The owner Charlie was very informative and a pleasure to deal with. He treated us like we were family. He made the process of purchasing our first boat so smooth even though there were some hiccups with the bank. He has my business for years to come.

We have kept our boat at Mahopac Marina for a number of years and we are very pleased with the service we receive. It is a family business and they treat their customers like family too. Always ready to help us with any boat issue or questions. The lake is gorgeous too!

Mahopac marina is a great family ran business. Was in the market to buy a boat this year they made my experience pleasurable and exciting for my family on my purchase of a 2017 stingray. I would recommend this marina to anyone purchasing a new boat or any of your marina need. All staff and family are a class act.

I purchased a boat from Mahopac Marina 4 years ago. Charlie Melchner and his father (co-owners) are 2 of the nicest, honest and good-hearted people I have ever had the pleasure and honor of doing business with. You just don't find great people every day like this in today's world! They took a challenging situation of buying our first boat and transformed it into one of the best experiences my family has ever had and continues to have! I can highly recommend them for purchasing or servicing your boat. It is so rare in today's world to find a vendor that embraces you and cares about you and your family's happiness and not just making a sale. These guys are truly one of a kind and I cannot speak highly enough of them. I have also met so many other local people in the area that feel the same way as I do about them. If I could give them 10 stars on Yelp I would easily do so. If you want to buy a boat and want to deal with honest, reputable and the fairest of people, these are the people to go to.They will work hard to give you a great deal and still be there after the sale to support you, service you, befriend you and answer all of your questions. I wish everyone that I had to deal with were as good as these people are!

I've known Charlie Jr. for over 15 years. My family and friends have all purchased boats, some new, some used, gotten parts and had service performed over the years. We have always very satisfied and pleased with the experience. His family has owned and operated the marina for decades and you can tell from the moment you walk in that you're becoming part of the family whether or not you actually buy a boat or just fill up yours at their gas pump.

Have done business with them for 10 years and bought boats. Brought an old boat to be fixed SEVERAL weeks ago and still not done. They've obviously shuttled us to the side, lied to us about what was wrong and what parts were and were not ordered. My husband's hard earned vacation ends Monday and we have not had the boat to use. If they couldn't fix it they should have told us. If they didn't want to fix it they should have told us rather than ruining our family's holiday. I guess they don't want our business any more so I would suggest others who don't want to be treated so callously not give them theirs.
