Down a mystical back alley of a mall behind the main drag is a wonderful box of tricks to discover. Magic wok was recommended to me by an ex-Darwinian who told me to try the Mongolian Pony. There was no Pony, but there was Camel, Buffalo, Emu, Roo, Deer and everything else domestic meat wise.
Sold by weight ($22.50 min for 350gm), pick your veg on one side of the plate, pick your combo of anything that used to breathe, (optional of course) then pick a sauce and finally pick a noodle.
The chefs throw it into a "turbo wok" behind a glass window and cook it in less than 5 mins. Hey Presto!
Aside from this carnivorous feast, the service here is sensational. When we went to get our meat on, they even put our half finished beer back in tne fridge. It's got air con but Darwin is a sticky town. Anything to keep the bevvies cold gets extra points from me!

Found out about it on Yelp. The structure is a "Mongolian" BBQ whereby you pick up ingredients on a metal plate, hand the plate to a cook, who then uses a big wok to cook your ingredients behind a window., which you can watch. $22.50 for 350g or less (of what you put on the plate). A waitress also told us we would get charged $22.50 even a plate weighs less than 350g. Okay we get that. What is unclear is that you would get charged more if it exceeds 350g. Furthermore, there was only one waitress and one bartender serving a busy place whose only concern was pushing for more wine and desert. Including wine and desert for two, the total bill was $120. Not reasonable for a "joint" which is really hard to find even with Google Map on.
