I had my 2017 Mazda3 painted here. After taking it home I noticed a slight shade difference between the plastic moldings on the front and the metal hood. So I went down to see how the customer service and warranty was AFTER I paid.
After talking with Matty, and then Nelson, I was happy to learn that they stand behind their warranty and their work. They took care of me with ZERO hassles, attitude or push back.
Its easy to give good customer service when things go right. But the true measure of good service comes when there is a problem. Vancouver Maaco obviously cares about their customers and the "word of mouth" good (or bad) service creates.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Larry J. I needed these people's expertise professionalism 3X this week? Wow #1 When moving forward into my garage I hooked the bumper loose on my wife's Camry also damage to my Subaru by jerking the left fender loose. but it still was drivable. First the Toyota went into Maaco's shop under these capable folks care, Then #2 the Subaru fender ! Finally when I thought that would be the end of it all. #3 struck. My right fender on the Subaru was jerked loose by vandalism in the Downtown Vancouver area while I and a friend were there looking for a restaurant close down by the river? , Which then some creep proceeded to shake me down for $$money that he could fix, the damage this time wasn't as severe as the first two?,. So back to Maaco and you know what they fixed it in a couple minutes for no charge this 3rd time? into every life a little rain must fall on occasion? I am more than satisfied with these people so 5 stars*****!

My first time here I was pleasantly surprised by a welcoming, friendly, organized, altogether outstanding group of employees! From the front office to the body shop, they look for opportunities to go beyond the expected, eager to serve in the best possible way. Several times when I began the next task on my repair process list, with a smile the office gal stated "I've already done that." For example, when up on the rack, my tech took photos and emailed me about previously unrelated work that had been very poorly done, charged for yet not completed, and made my car potentially dangerous to drive. And he said if I found future resolution help needed about this issue, he will help where he can. Today, I find it's rare to find business people willing to go beyond the task at hand, to help in this manner for their customer. It's ethics-driven employees and businesses like this that earn my business. I had such an overall great experience that I highly recommend this Maaco shop - way to go Maaco!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Had some parts painted here and had to take them back because they weren't painted all the way. Then when I called to tell them they weren't painted the lady was a total bitch. This place needs to hire a new desk person and a painter for sure. Don't ever take anything you need pained here that's for sure. Very rude unprofessional and way to over priced. 100% this place sucks dick. DONTTT RECOMMEND PERIODDDDD

I received service in 5 minutes for a side panel paint scrape. A young lady that helped me with the paint issue even applied the paint kit and showed me the best away to apply. She then said no charge! I think these guys are like Les Scwaub! I am now a customer for life!

Been using this particular Maaco for years. Part of the reason why is because of dealings with them like happened yesterday. I had a back left turn signal light go out. After 1 minute at the front desk, and 5 minutes of a guy working on my car, the job was done. No wasting time, just non stop work and that was that. And the cost was next to nothing. Been the same type of service for me and others I know even between owner changes there. They obviously try hard to keep their standards of employees high, and get things done fast. I actually made this account to give them some deserved credit. First time I ever rated a company.

Initial contact and assistance went well with management, but I would not recommend for insurance claim work. Person who I dealt with predominantly was inefective and downright rude. Basic customer service was lacking. I did not realize what an ordeal the interaction would be between the insurance and this shop. Each complained and was equally exasperated over the other. I Never dealt with this process so I didn't know to go with insurance chosen shops. Luckily there was someone to walk me through this as the shop persistently tried charging me for this insurance claim work. I signed a paper saying I would pay the difference in labor cost as insurance companies are not required to pay the shop labor rate. Thats fine. I would of done this if I had to. Again, I had someone in my corner to fix issues to avoid paying anything whatsoever. Hard lesson learned. In addition when I picked up my car I found the work not very good. I think that they are rushing through things and don't have a quality control set up. My damage area was not seemless and my headlight was disconnected. They had 4 appointments for 3pm time slot when I dropped it off. I think that they are just taking on too much work.

I took my bmw m3 to maaco to get either some individual parts painted or a full body respray. Tim looked over the car with me and gave me some pricing and I decided just to leave it and go with the full respray. To preface this review I paint cars myself. But, I am in the middle of a move and my equipment is packed up. So I figured I could get a decent job done for the price. I mentioned several things I wanted done and some were and some weren't. When it comes to paint, which is a long term investment, I would like everything I say to be written down and done accordingly. One thing was that I didn't want them to tape around the trim on the car. I asked that it be pulled off instead. I mentioned that it would be quicker to just pull it off as it comes off by hand in less than 30 seconds. He said that would be done. It wasn't and now my brand new trim pieces have overspray on them. And the edges around the trim on the bumper don't look great because of the tape job. The tape job itself was very hurried and there are more than a few areas were the car looks bad because of it. Some areas on the side skirt actually didn't get painted because the tape overlapped the painted surface. There was also a good amount of tape on the car that wasn't removed that I had to do myself. The actual paint has more debris in it than I was expecting but it is a maaco job so I kind of expected that.
The biggest reason I am leaving this review is because of a different issue I had. When I was checking over the car I popped the hood and noticed that one of my hood struts was completely broken off. I honestly have no idea how you would break one unless you bent it and then tried to close the hood. But I also don't know how you would bend it unless you were using a stop on it or something. Either way I pointed it out to the painter and he said something about it. He also said that the hood hit the wiper and was an issue. Which was not an issue I had had before. So the hood may be actually bent from when it was closed on the broken strut. Then Tim the manager came and looked and said it was already like that. It was not broken before hand as the hood would barely close with it like that and we popped it and looked at the front panel when I dropped the car off. The painter and tim then had a big loud disagreement in front of us which was terribly unprofessional and made us feel very awkward. Tim offered to replace the strut after that and was nice and tried to help us load the car onto our trailer. I then noticed that my wheels, which are older collectors items and fairly valuable had overspray all over them. He got the painter to come wipe them off but I will have to do it myself and repolish them now. The painter also fixed some of the overspray but not much. The pics are after that process. Things like the entire front fan assembly being coated in paint doesn't make me happy. One sheet of paper would have covered that. :/ I also noticed that on the rear bumper they painted over a bunch of tire rubber instead of cleaning it off. I can't explain how irritating that is honestly.
All in all I think there was a break in communication between tim and the painter that led to some disappointment in the actual paint job. I also think the tape job could have had an extra 10 minutes spent on it and it would have turned out okay. I was really hoping for better results as the initial estimate and such went well. They were also nice enough to give us a ride across the highway when our uber left without us because we were still doing paperwork. Sadly I am not able to give any higher stars and honestly want to do less but would feel bad about it. Tim did knock 100 dollars off of the price but seeing as how it will take me several hours to try and fix this myself later or just repaint the car it didn't make me feel much better about the whole deal.
Oh, and while installing my front kidney grilles back into the car I realized the tabs on one of them were broken so I will need a new one. It's a little older so it's not uncommon to break those tabs when removing them but I would have liked to know about it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
