Food taste horrible. Walnut shrimp had a pastey sauce and was not seasoned correctly. Fried rice was black like they cooked it in dirty pans Fried Rice was black like it was cooked in a dirty pan. It had a disgusting after taste and rice used was pasty and paper like. The walnut shrimp had a horrible taste as well. I will not eat here again or recommend this restaurant

For starters, I'm not a fan of the spot this place is in but I do like the service. The owner is friendly and his food can be good depending on what you order.
I haven't been here for a couple years but what I used to order from here a lot is the Pan fried/Crispy noodles. I loved them! Today I decided to go back and order something new than my usual so I ordered the Chow fun this time. I got it to go and I was not very impressed.
Too many onions for my liking. I had to kind of pick through. The fact there were so much onions is very disappointing to me. Definitely was going the cheaper route with this dish. I probably should have stuck with the original thing I usually order.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nick N.Lemon Grove, CA13618Jul 7, 2023
Ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings. They were just as tasty as the big name places, but considerably cheaper. Their menu is universally a few dollars cheaper than every other Chinese restaurant in the area.
They probably save on money by being a one man operation. This is a no frills, order at the counter kind of spot. But the cook was friendly and the food was prepared to order. Can't really ask for more than that.
Looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu, though I can't resist chicken wings at the best of times. Always love supporting small, family operations such as this.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - James Z.National City, CA03Jan 9, 2024
Given the state of the prices here and the food quality, it's an absolute steal! Owner is very nice, we've been coming to this place for years and never disappoints.

Definitely a hole in the wall if you want quick cooked Chinese food.
The place is small. No tables to eat inside.
Take out only.
The owner/cook has been cooking for over 30 years.
I like their Black Bean fish fillet and their Salt and Pepper wings.
In my last three visits the owner/cook gave me more than I expected. When I ordered one wonton soup there was two large styrofoam containers of wonton soup. When I ordered one fried shrimp there was two boxes of shrimp. When I ordered one black bean fish there was two boxes of black bean fish. So he's definitely generous!
The only thing I'd say is the homeless problem around the shopping center could be a bothersome or intimidating.
I've read the negative reviews for this restaurant before trying them out and I haven't experienced any issues yet.
For the price and taste I'll be returning to this restaurant for sure.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ra H.San Diego, CA010Nov 18, 2022
We had Kung Pao Beef and Sweet and sour chicken. The food was hot and delicious and inexpensive! so it scores much better than all the expensive Chinese restaurants I've visited. The decor isn't elegant, but who cares? And the cook/owner was a real mensch! So - 5 stars

Mongolian Beef with extra Ginger & White Rice is ON POINT!!! and so is their HOT & SOUR SOUP so glad I don't have to go to Mandarin or Golden Chopsticks to wait for the crowded lines I'm ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED and I grew up in San Francisco with delicious authentic Chinese Food, Hunan, Mandarine & Cantonese!!!

I placed lunch order through Yelp. Then went to pick it up. Owner Allan is also the cook. It's a one man operation. He said he didn't confirm my order but he saw what I ordered.
So I asked if he's going to make it. He said yes and asked if I can wait 15 minutes. Sure I told him. Then I went outside, there are only two tables and it smelled really stale and oily in there, so I waited out in my car.
I called him back to add an entree cuz my sister wanted something. He said he didn't start my order yet. I thought that strange and asked can I add something. He said yes. I asked how much. The price was higher for everything as it was now just 5 minutes past lunchtime. I said cancel my entire order. Allan said to call him directly and don't use Internet or Yelp to order because he doesn't use it.
Warning to all: place your order in person or call him directly if you want food from this business.
Btw, the main kitchen is hidden and only 2 woks are in full view. We can't see if it's clean or not, but Allan does not wear an apron and he has grease, batter and food stains all over his shirt and pants.
It was my first time here after a friend said the salt and pepper fried chicken is good. Well, after this experience, I will not be going back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lielyn B.San Diego, CA03Sep 9, 2023
Nice quick service. Food is tasty too. It's a one man show so you have to wait for a bit especially on a busy time.
