This is definitely an authentic Taiwanese mom and pop shop! It's a hole in a wall kind of vibe. The inside looks like a fast food set up and a bit old design. This place has been around 11 years or so and it's run by a friendly old couple. Her plants are quite amazing though. I'd ordered braised pork rice, story fry noodles, bamboo shoots, and their famous secret tofu dish. I definitely like their fried tofu. It's crispy fried tofu on the outside and silken tofu in the inside topped with a sweet and savory sauce. I also like the braised pork rice as that's a classic dish. The prices are pretty affordable. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

A delicious surprise hole in the wall for authentic Taiwanese cuisine.
Tip: This is not your normal Chinese restaurant, they specialize in Taiwanese street food so you probably won't find your regular Chinese dishes, instead go to explore and you may find new favorites line we did!
These dishes we tried (all pictured) were all amazing. Tofu was crispy outside tender inside with delicious sauce. I also liked the Taiwanese burger (with white buns) and stuffed purple sticky rice (weekend only). The eggs with oysters came and gone in zero time!!
List to the recommendations from the friendly boss lady, she knows what she is talking about!
No, you do no go there for the ambiance, but you get simply amazing food and friendly staff that make you feel like home.Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Toto A.Chino Hills, CA2895445May 21, 2023

Saw this spot on Yelp. I'm super far from it but decided to make the drive since I was heading South Bay anyway.
Anyway it's a random spot in a corner. Kinda tricky to park, thankfully we saw
One on the street right in front. I went during the week around 1pm. The restaurant had one group inside but the parking lot is like super busy?
Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner who is super sweet.
We ordered 3 things.. I wanted to order the duck but it had to be pre-ordered bummer.
Anyway I don't even normally eat pork blood in my country of ethnicity.. but recently I have been open for it. I had the pork black rice cake and oh gee it's insanely good!!!
The tofu was fantastic and same with the pork belly bao. I loved all of them and even the iced tea. Will definitely try their duck and order it ahead of time and pick it up.
The place is pretty small, nice vibe and clean.
Don't let the outside fool you. Great food! No MSG! Tastes good!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hahn L.North Beach/Telegraph Hill, San Francisco, CA03Sep 23, 2023
As a Taiwanese person, this is by far the most authentic Taiwanese food I've ever had in America!!
This hidden gem with an unassuming exterior serves such delicious and fresh food. A literal mom and pop establishment with the nicest owners, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Catherine is super friendly and will make you feel at home, and Chef Kevin really knows the flavors of Taiwan and faithfully recreates them. One example is the Oyster Omelet - here its got the starch that so many other Taiwanese restaurants in America skip, tastes just like you got it from a night market in Taipei.
Everything we've had here is amazing, from the perfectly spiced braised pork rice to the MUST order fried tofu. The sauces are all made in house and are so flavorful, and unlike other restaurants that rely on MSG to flavor all their foods such that all the dishes end up tasting the same, this restaurant uses no MSG!!
If you've never had Taiwanese food, come here and give it a try and see why Taiwan is voted as one of the best places to travel for food. If you've had Taiwanese food before, come here and satisfy your craving with the real deal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - yohan l.Rancho Palos Verdes, CA352015May 13, 2023
Authentic Taiwanese cuisine! Don't let the exterior discourage you (under renovation now). The food is seriously tasty. Not greasy, not salty, no msg. My son loves their beef noodle soup. I ordered the popcorn chicken and lucky secret fried tofu. Can't wait to go back and try their other dishes. They also had Taiwanese breakfast (fan-tuan & fresh soy milk), but we were way too full.
Owned and operated by a friendly couple from Taiwan that takes pride in their food and loves to chat if you speak mandarin or Taiwanese.
Will definitely return. Just super happy to have found this place so we don't have to drive to Cerritos or San Gabriel just to satisfy our cravings for good Taiwanese taste.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
