I also came here for an IPL treatment with a coupon from living social.

      Pros-
The actual treatment is thoroughly done by a very nice licensed RN. She explained everything before the session. She also constantly checked with how I am feeling during the session.
The facility is very clean and modern with the latest machines.
They did not charge any additional tax and gratuity (which was not included in the coupon), so I gladly tip them extra for what they deserved.

      Cons-
Learned from a previous review I asked to arrive 30 mins early to apply numb cream for additional $5. They however let me waited for 30 mins in the lobby. I asked for it finally when the treatment is about to start. The RN had no idea about my request so she quickly put the numb cream on for 5 mins, which does not help eliminating the sensation I planned and paid to avoid.

PLEASE NOTE- They offer to upgrade the service for $30 with a "deep cleansing facial" before the IPL and a "vitamin c mask" after the IPL . I happily accepted it but later found it's not worth it.
The "deep cleansing facial" is applying an ultrasound scrubber like this for at most 5 minutes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeE0rji0zmM). No extraction or extra cleaning. You will also need to change room for 3 times- room 1 for deep cleaning, room 2 for IPL, and room 3 for mask.

TIP- Parking in the back. BUT don't ask for valet. It cost you $5 with validation and it closes at 5pm.

Overall I am quite happy with the service with the living social coupon. The result was noticeable as soon as I am done- I don't have sun spot or freckle was wish to improve the even skin tone. My skin was fresh and clean and glowing. No downtime for healing at all. I will go back if I need other high tech facial.

I bought a Groupon for the 40-Minute Genesis Laser Erytherma Treatment and am very pleased with the results. They are EXTREMELY friendly at Lotus. After a business meeting ran late, I called to ask if I could come in later that day and they were very calm (I was stressing and felt like a dick) but they said, 'How's 30 minutes?'

When I got there, despite being late, they were super friendly and welcoming. I filled out some paperwork and they asked if I wanted to add a Vitamin C facial, I said yes since I felt bad for being so late, but they didn't pressure me at all. They brought me back to a clean room and a nice woman (don't remember her name) did the laser treatment and explained what would happen and answered my questions. The Genesis laser was really pleasant, just warm and made really funny noises. No numbing cream is necessary. Then she brought me to another room for the Vitamin C facial, which was refreshing, cooling and felt pretty nice.

After I left, my skin looked really good. I have some large pores and acne scars and they looked smaller. My skin was plumped up, glowing and rosy. They recommended getting a couple treatments and apparently it takes a few weeks/months to see the full results, but I think I will go back. My skin definitely improved.

I parked on the street, which was fine for an hour or so. They didn't try to push any products or future treatments on me.

I came in with a Groupon as well, for lipolaser and radiofrequency treatments. Not only that, I came in at *the end* of the Groupon, right before it expired, and so there's two knocks against me-- Grouponer and nearly expired. They were very nice and I felt treated as a "full price" customer. They made me aware of the specials but didn't push them. They also made it very clear that two treatments wasn't going to be miraculous. It wasn't, but I DO see results-- maybe 20% improvement. The treatments were done by a RN and she was very pleasant and definitely worked the radio-frequency machine vigorously on my problem areas.
I'll definitely go back when I have some extra cash.

Purchased a Living Social voucher to this place and I am so happy I did.
      They have amazing customer service.

I got the Laser Lipo and after 2 treatments saw amazing results. I just wanted to tighten my abdominal area and it did exactly that.

I am very happy with this place and results.

For Buena Park location: Ok, so here's the deal. Take the service and location for what it is, but I LOVE my results so far. To me, worth it and preferable to great service and meh results.

I went in for a Genesis laser which I'd tried before elsewhere and thought it was fine (underwhelmed but figured you need 4-5 treatments like they say) so wanted to try again and bought the groupon for here. They scrutinized my skin and talked me into upgrading to the Sellas laser. I was pretty nervous because I research *everything* before I do it but I was just going to go for it this time. Not gonna lie, there was a little pressure from them but I guess I didn't have to agree - and we all make our own decisions. That said - best risk I've taken in a while!!

They used the Sella's laser which is similar to a fraxel 1550 non ablative laser...aka doesn't resurface or peel the skin. Korean brand laser to regenerate collagen. Lol researched it after ...scary. Anywho, because they put numbing cream on and I seemed to hold up ok she was aggressive. Which is odd because I'm a baby when it comes to pain. It did hurt but I so wanted it to work so I kept still and held on! After 1 treatment I can honestly say i already see changes...my face glows and some of my acne scars are diminished. Seriously. Give it a week though.. depending on how aggressive they are, there's light scaling... not quite scabbing on the skin. IMO, waaaaaay better than my laser genesis treatment from other spa. I called back and have an appt for my 2nd one next week. So excited - finally, progress!!

I purchased a Groupon for an IPL photofacial and was able to easily schedule my appointment. When I arrived there were several staff members that greeted me, handed me some paperwork and then sent me in for a consultation.

The nurse did not review my paperwork but instead asked me if I have ever had an IPL before, I said yes and proceeded to ask questions about their laser. She informed me that they did not require any numbing cream which was a little scary as the rubber band snapping can be painful from past experiences.

She also diagnosed me with melasma in one area where I had previously treated and had great results but the hyperpigmentation returned within a few weeks. She said lasers are not recommended for melasma but I insisted because the last treatment helped so much and I needed it gone for photos coming up.

We were about to begin the treatment but I began to inform her of the products I use and that I recently had a chemical peel. Even though this was not part of their screening process, she freaked out and had me reschedule! Imagine if I forgot to tell her this!

When I came back a week later for my appointment, there was no one to be found at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes then started walking around until I found someone. It was almost like they forgot about me! I was taken back to their laser room and started to take off my jewelry before I laid down, I accidentally dropped my earring and when I picked it up it was covered in dust and hair! Eww!

The initial zap of the laser was not that bad but some areas made me jump a little. I again asked her to treat my melasma spot and to be careful around my eyes to avoid burning me. After the treatment I was a little red but felt fine, she gave me some ice and sent me on my way. So far so good!

Before I left I tried to ask if I need to schedule a follow-up appointment but they said it wasn't needed. Weird! What if I wanted more treatments or wasn't happy? I also asked my nurse how many lasers she does on average to gauge how much of an expert she was, but she seemed confused by this question. I also asked what else they had there and she couldn't really elaborate besides lasers and weight loss. Also weird! Did they not like me as a customer?

The next day I was expecting to wake up with little black pepper looking spots like I normally do after my first treatment, but nothing! Not even in my melasma spot which usually immediately changes. After a few days of nothing I called the office and asked if I should be expecting to see different results, the girl had no idea and was thoroughly confused! She had no idea how the laser worked or what to say to my questions.

This place seriously unimpressed me and I do not recommend going there. I wasted my money and don't even think they cared about me as a customer. Very sad because I could have referred a lot of people.

I bought an amazon voucher for laserlipo after seeing the great reviews on here of this place. The facility is wonderful and everyone on the staff is extremely nice. However, when I arrived for my appointment I filled out some consent forms and instead of taking me to my treatment room they brought in another woman who took me to her office. Long story short, she basically told me the laserlipo wouldn't work unless I got the injections with it. She offered me "deals" on packages ($1800+) and said the only way I'd see results is if I got one of these packages. After 30 minutes of debating and her getting annoyed I finally agreed to do 12 weeks for $1300. I was really scared about the injections, but she said not to worry and that it wouldn't hurt at all.
      Right.
First of all, the lady doing the injections did not rub alcohol around where she was going to inject (this is how I knew she was not a nurse) and when I tried to tell her to do it, she just mumbled something because she didn't speak English and proceeded to inject a huge needle into my thigh. After both thighs were done she put the "laserlipo" (I put that into quotations because I researched the machine they were using while I was getting the treatment and it's basically an infrared light that doesn't do ANYTHING except emit heat which doesn't penetrate the skin or fat cells).
After my treatment I could barely walk because of the pain and my legs were numb where she did the injections.
That night, the bruising started to worsen and my boyfriend, who is a doctor was really concerned (and pissed that I wasted money on something so stupid). I couldn't sleep that night and was scared that I was having some sort of reaction. My legs were numb for 2 days and the bruises have finally faded after 2 1/2 weeks (they were HUGE). I called Lotus to request a refund of the remaining treatments and she said that they do not give refunds even though I explained to her that I was scared to death to come back there. I called my credit card company and they are fighting to get my refund for me.
DO NOT go to this place and if you do, ask the "nurse" to see her credentials and research the equipment that they are using. The only FDA approved laserlipo in the US is the Zerona laser. Beware of these "deals". There is a reason it's cheap.

Couple months ago, I went here based upon the referral of a person who heard this place was good, to discuss and seek tx for quite a few of my concerns.

The reception desk personnel greeted with big smile. I liked the fact that their working stations were well organized and they seemed to keep sanitation pretty well.

Pros first: They can speak Korean, too. Some of staff were very attentive to listen, pamper and made me relax. I saw one of the skin care specialists whose name I no longer remember (her face was glowing showing she really knew what she was doing and had the kindest manner during the facial). Also, male RN who was very gentle and confident during the procedure and after. One of the receptionists who listened to me well enough to make me feel better.

Cons: Few staff really push you their services and products. Worst of all, the one individual who pushed the MEDICAL procedures and my button as well was an accupunturist, the manager at the place. How can SHE sell the products to clients which she was not certified to practice nor are well established in the states? Guessed why their name contained "Lotus". Because of my background, I'm a skeptic to Eastern medicine. I don't discourage others to believe in or anything like that though. But this lady totaled thousands $ worth of tx plan for me and most of the plans I've never heard of. Then when I told her I needed time to make decisions, she turned indifferent and cold. Most importantly, a lot of procedures that needs to be done by MD or at least to be supervised by MD (this is how it's done in S Korea) are done without an MD present at the practice. I got a consult by her and the family medicine doctor (Really no offense here again but this kind of facility should have the dermatologist instead). Absurd and inappropriate. I understood the structure of their management from then on.

Overall, not entirely what I was looking for. Although I loved some of the staff, I may and will go there to see the only staff I highly rated according to my pros analysis. This is only if I can't find my alternatives but I think I can because there are so many options in this industry in CA.

      Good luck.

Wide open spaces and bright and clean facilities, friendly and knowledgeable Bilingual staff (Korean and English) - this is a big plus for wifey. It seems a lot of their products, equipment and techniques are from South Korea which is THE capital for cosmetic surgery and procedures - so you know you are getting state of the art stuff. The staff is extra friendly and helpful from patiently explaining things with a smile to feeding your parking meter for you!

I went for the Living Social IPL treatment. I unfortunately waited too long to book my appointment and they were all booked up through the date of expiration, but they still let me come in after the expiration date and use the deal. I was very thankful they did that.

The treatment itself was the best IPL experience I've had. I liked the different lasers for the different areas. I thought my esthetician was very professional and clearly knew what he was doing. He was unrushed and explained every step as he was going. And these are the best results I've seen. So many little brown spots came up, I had no idea I had such discoloration going on (well, I did a little). I'm excited for them to fall off.

My only con would be that they made me go wash my face myself in the bathroom prior to the treatment.
