This place is awesome! Food is hella good. Sketchy part of Reno though. Totally worth your safety to get the carne Asada though. lol.

I can count on ONE thing in Reno, los Compadres. The food is always hot and the service is great.
When I walk in I'm met with smiles and good attitudes. Super margaritas, reasonable and they also have a happy hour, mon through Friday 4 to 6pm.
I guess I really like this place, as I eat here at least once a week. MMM

Los Compadres catered a group of 24 people during a training program I conducted at Associated General Contractors. The food was hot and enjoyed by the everyone. Love their chips and salsa. The chicken enchiladas were loaded with cheese.

Los Compadres catered a delicious meal for my training program with Granite Construction.

Los Compadres is a wonderful place in a not so wonderful location. I suppose the food is hit and miss according to some reviews, but I have never had a bad meal there. This last visit, I ordered the Bistek Ranchero, I believe. The steak was delicious, rice and beans are always perfect, and the chips and salsa... Well, what can I say? I always go through two bowls of chips! The melon margaritas are to die for! Like the peach margaritas, don't have two of these before going back to work! They are pretty potent! Once again, a wonderful experience with a wonderful staff! Everyone here is so friendly! I have never had less than five stars service here. Can't wait to go back and do it again!

      Pitcher of Midori Margarita! Delicioso!

Spacious area inside with a nice bar. Friendly customer service! The Carne Asada burrito was okay, it mainly lacked flavor with the meat & sauce which was a bit disappointing. The enchilada style still comes highly recommended though if you go for it (definitely go with the green sauce as well). The item comes with a side of guacamole and sour cream for about $10.50 total with tax. Overall, it's not bad! The chips & salsa was good.

I don't know why we haven't tried this place before now, it's not because people haven't told us about it. My husband had lunch there with a friend and brought me home take out. It was delish, even after reheating, which says a lot.

I had a cheese enchilada and a chili rellano, two of my go to's when I hit up a Mexican place, and they were both done very well. The rellano was an egg based batter, which was very good, even reheated, and the enchilada was stuffed with cheese (you can never have too much cheese). They even sent home chips, which were crispy and a nice start to the meal, they tasted home made.

I had enough for two dinners, which is always a plus, and the food was spiced just right, not too hot, but not bland, which I always appreciate. This isn't the best area of Reno, but we will certainly look for their other locations and eat there, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable, another plus.

I'm just sad we didn't try them sooner, we've been missing out on some good Mexican food for a long time.

Went for dinner. Had the asada burrito. Very bland asada. Chips and salsa bland. Margaritas were good. Not going back.

      Tried online order through Yelp.
      Lickety split received the order.
Carne asada burrito, shrimp taco, carne asada taco and chicken taco.
      Hot and delicious and
I was blown away by the amount of chicken, carne asada and shrimp in the tacos. All the extras and sides! Everything just right.
The quality and care our order was packaged and labeled - as if a dear friend was sending it.
Finally, the courier they used was clean, pleasant and polite.
      Well done!

So I am a Mexican Food Junkie! It's my favorite cuisine and will usually always pick it if given the option. Today was no different. My friend from work and I decided to go out to lunch today and Mexican food sounded amazing! We walked and we were seated right away. It was fairy busy when we walked in right at 1pm with the end of the lunch rush there but we were still seated immediately. Our chips and 2 different levels of heat salsas were delivered within a couple of minutes. and Our drinks were delivered immediately after the chips. Our meal orders were taken only a few minutes later and was ready quickly and delicious. I ordered the Carnitas Enchiladas Combo with Green Salsa. Soooooooooo yum! The Carnitas were so tender and flavorful. My friend ordered the Cheese and Onion Enchilada and Shredded Beef Taco Combo which she was extremely pleased with. Lunch was wonderful and so close to work that I plan to come here more often.

The hostess and the server were both fast and helpful and when the bill came, I felt it was pretty decent and reasonable price for lunch for two and drinks.
