About the Business
Real seafood should be sourced from real sea-places, like, you know, oceans. So that's exactly where we source ours from. We're no one trick sea pony. Sure, we've got the classic fried fish and chips you love, but now we've got delicious new grilled seafood options to add to our menu of delica-seas.

My guilty pleasure. I love this stuff. So much that I can't even claim to be an unbiased reviewer. It's cheap, it's quick and it's always so salty, crispy and delicious!
The folks here are even nice. Bonus.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 8, 2016
I like Long Johns but the food today was greasy and the Cole slaw was almost just ground cabbage. Not happy with the portion size. A couple of the fish pieces looked like 1/2s.
The hush puppies were just g tree grease balls.
Wii wait before going back. It's put me off, and there's places close that's better and cheeper.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sammy C.Simpsonville, SC0212Apr 23, 2024
Disgusting and overpriced. $27 for two combos, forgot a drink, one order was wrong, and side of cheese curds had 6 pieces and wasn't cooked through. Place needs to shut down.

I placed an online order on August 3 and it was accepted. When I get there the place is locked up( no power) and two people are yelling at customers driving through from a car at back of restaurant. I've tried calling to get a refund but they don't answe the phone. I've left complaints online-nothing. This place is terrible. Customer service is non-existent

Lobby is never open. I can't comment on the food or service because I never can get it. Ambiance is old and out of date.

Disappointed. I haven't been to a LJS in a long time. We stopped in around 2.30 pm, as we were passing through town. First, they have advertised coconut shrimp as a new item with signs on their windows, sign, and menu board. We ordered it and was told they don't have any coconut shrimp. We also ordered sweet tea. No sweet tea, only unsweet available and was offered sweet n low. My second choice only gave me carbonated water because the mix was out on the drink machine. Second, when we went to sit down, there were 6 dirty tables. There were also a good many windows that are in need of replacement because they look so dirty, and you can't see out of them very well. The dining room was also extremely cold. I couldn't wait to get out to warm up. Finally, although it took little while to prepare, our food was good. But I am missing those yummy crispy bits that used to be in the bottom of our fish box.
I will sum it up by saying, it's good food but maybe get it to go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany F.Kings Mountain, NC1018148Aug 23, 2021
My husband drives a truck for a living. He stopped at this location and went to the door (they had previously opened up indoor seating) but on this day the door was locked and a post on the door said come around to the window for service. So he did. The two workers were not wearing masks, both on their cell phones. He knocked at the window to get attention and was told it didn't matter that he was in a big truck they couldn't serve him from the window. He went to his truck to sit for his remaining break time as you can't move the truck until your 30 mins are up. He saw another trucker come up and park, go to the door, then to the window same as he had.. they served him. Now the two workers were people of color, as was the second trucker. My husband is Caucasian. Why was he not served the same as the second man? What made it different? Will never go here again.

I don't normally review fast food joints because honestly, what's the point? You get what you get. However, I DO at least expect to receive the food that I pay for.
Especially when it comes with the meal you order. I had to talk myself into going in the first place, and probably won't be going back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tonya B.Piedmont, SC05Jul 23, 2021
The wait at the drive thru is terrible. Waited half an hour or more to just tell them what I wanted. Did not even answer you at the drive thru although you could hear them. I love Long John Silver's but this is ridiculous! If I wanted to wait this long for food I would have went to a restaurant that wasn't FAST FOOD. Looks like they just forgot the fast part.

Long John Silver's is a staple of comfort food for me. I grew up hating in and now LJS shrimp and fish take me to a place of comfort and happiness.
I had never been to Mauldin before and the first place I saw that put a smile on my face was the LJS/A&W. I've never been a huge fan on A&W but on rare occasions, I'll order fried cheese curds as a treat (thanks to growing up 15 minutes from Pissconsin).
The positives are the same of all LJS locations. The food was great as expected. The tarter sauce had the same amazing taste as I remember. The price was consistent as always. Pepsi products were available to drink. The shrimp, hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw all tasted exactly how I had hoped.
The negatives aren't as bad as they could be. The restaurant had a 1950's diner theme meaning they were playing 1950's music in the place. Not my cup of tea. The service was less than desirable too. The cashier took my order timely but it took almost 10 minutes for my order to be fulfilled.
If I were in Mauldin again, I'd stop here again for sure. However, living in Greenville, I found other LJS locations I plan on trying.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Redavyn H.Greenville, SC142Jun 4, 2018
They took too long in the drive-through, which resulted in me having to leave my place in line.
