Live Beyond The Mat

Yoga with Rebecca was just what I needed :)

While going through a really stressful time in my life, I greatly enjoy taking breaks and making "me" time. That's where yoga comes in...

For me, it's not about getting exercise, working out, or even accomplishing anything other than being there at that time. Being in the moment. Listening to the teacher, placing my limbs, and learning. Feeling where things move and what may be easy or not for me. And just going with the flow.

I enjoy Rebecca's style. It's not like some classes where teachers try to transform your life in 90 minutes, but there's still something transformative about it. If that makes sense. It's a good thing :)

I have been going to Circle yoga for several years, but my experience there improved so much when I met Rebecca and started going to her classes. She approaches each class full of energy, or should I say, just the right kind of energy that she senses is right for us on that day. That is special.
The classes are rigorous but never repetitive or boring. She does not talk too much, just enough. She allows you to relax, breathe, and work your body and brain all at the same time. She doesn't take herself too seriously, and although she respects the practice, she enhances it by making it her own and encouraging us to do the same. I feel so fortunate that I have found her, and that she is my teacher and friend.
