It's National Pasta Day! The linguine and clams dish at Little Sicily in Downtown Salinas was plentiful. We also ordered mozzarella sticks, lasagne, a salad, garlic bread and pizza for the kids. Friendly staff and plenty of parking in lots behind buildings on the main strip. We definitely left stuffed and the walk back to the car helped. The carbs fueled us for a hike at The Pinnacles the following morning.

This place is INCREDIBLE & as I'm originally from Brooklyn, I really know my food!!!
We had Margherita pizza, sausage/meatball calzone, garlic bread, salad, polenta & linguini w/ clams & shrimp on Saturday evening...everything was beyond delicious!!!
The very next night, we ordered take out (pizza, calzone, garlic bread, linguini) & again, !!!
The owner, Mike, is extremely cordial & a fabulous cook! You will NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED with this gem of a pizzeria!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2021
We dined at Little Sicily on a Friday night with a guest who is a regular. The food had a lot of hype to live up to and the restaurant totally delivered. The ravioli with meat sauce was delicious and perfect on a cold night. The creamy ricotta cheese filled ravioli accompanied by marinara meat sauce was just what I needed. The linguini and clams with clear sauce is also a great dish. Get the garlic bread!

Small place but super cute. Offers pasta and pizza, calazones. Would recommend if in the area . Opens 3-8 Wednesday thru Sunday.
Looks family owned. Downtown Salinas. Will have to return to try the pasta. Not too busy when it first opened but steady rush of people. Thanks againHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mireya R.Chualar, CA082Aug 2, 2022
Walking around looking for dinner plans and we stumbled upon here and Sr. barbón and we wernt sure what to eat we went into little Sicily to wash our hands bc u know COVID and they didn't let us use the bathroom! Even though we where gonna eat there! So ofc we just left and ate to Sr. barbón! Recommend it 1000 percent more than this racist place called little Sicily!
(The owner especially the man was really rude and left his conversation just so he can tell his wife to tell us to leave)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Marie Yvonne D.Monterey County, CA062Nov 15, 2022
Pizza is just wonderful, best crispy edge and thin to the middle of pizza pie. I love it. One size but that is ok? Chef is always friendly, his assistant a little
overworked or overwhelmed at times, but friendly for the most part.
What are you going to do? Maybe their are a family team, it works.
His place could get bigger someday, who knows. All is good there,
their heart is in the cooking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 216810Apr 23, 2022Updated review
Finally got to dine in and this place just got better. We ordered the Meat pizza with regular sauce this time and it was delicious. The standout is still the sausage. They only make one size but it's perfect for two people. My wife loves the Tiramisu which never disappoints and we tried the cannoli, too, which was pretty good. Also tried their Italian beer, Mastri Birrai Umbri, which is a truely outstanding blonde ale. This place has never let''s us down. Glad it's so close.

I ordered take out, so I can't really speak to the service except to say that the customers there and leaving seem happy to banter with the chef. Our pizza was ready when I arrived and had the kind of East Coast crust that I prefer. We ordered a white sauce instead of tomato, and it was kind of flavorless. We agreed to try the regular sauce next time (and there will be a next time). The true standout was the sausage. Good food, nice, local folks. Recommended.

Highly recommend the calzones. They are so big enough for two. The dough was fresh. The mozzarella delicious. We had three kinds and I liked the chicken, the garlic on the chicken was so good. Very small place so might need to go but if u can get a table so cute and Italian romantic. No dog friendly though and no outside eating.

This place is small, with 6 small tables. The lady who greeted us was very short, and didn't make eye contact nor smile.
I asked her what are most popular dishes and she quickly replied "Everything"... as if she didn't have time to explain and all she cared about was taking our order.
Since she offered no help, i ordered the traditional which is the lasagna... while my husband ordered spaghetti with sausage.
I would say the best thing we ordered was the garlic bread. It was very flavorful, but the flavor makes you want to eat more. Don't get me wrong... the lasagna and spaghetti, initially, we were "Wow, this is very tasty". However, as we were eating it, there were more dominant flavors to were we got full and tired eating it halfway... if you know what i mean.
Additionally, as we were eating, we were using our knife and it accidentally fell on the floor. The lady turned around and looked, but did not bother to give us a new knife.
Overall, it was good to try once.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 11, 2020
Decent small family-run spot in Old Town Salinas. Visited here on a weekend night after the recommendation from a few friends.
There is no current dine-in option due to COVID, but you can walk up and order take-out that is fresh and made to order. Wait was maybe 15 mins with a few extra orders and pick-up orders ahead of me.
I opted for the meatball sandwich, which comes with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. $9 as listed on the menu, but I added some mushrooms and green peppers. For a few vegetables, it cost me an additional $1.75 per extra topping?! Didn't realize it would cost this much after I ordered it. (Sidebar: That's the price they charge for additional calzone toppings which is significantly larger in portion size.) Hardly noticed the green peppers, but there was a good amount of sauce. Meatballs were flavorful and a good size.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
