Thank you, Yelp! Because of you, my husband and I decided to skip Ikeda's and went to Little Belgium Deli & Beer Bar for lunch on the way home from Sacramento! What a great find!
It seems to be a locals place where everyone knows each other but it also felt welcoming to us newcomers. When you walk in, you will find a cozy bar area with a tv for those wanting to watch sports while they enjoy craft beer and yummy food. Right up my husband's alley! In the back you'll find another room, bright and family friendly, complete with board games.
What drew me in initially was the "famous avocados" on the menu that others have mentioned so I went with the original (half an avocado filled with whipped cream cheese seasoned with black pepper and garlic, wasabi and sriracha sauces, crushed smoked almonds, jalapeño slices - $5.95) while my husband decided on the panini-style Firefighter sandwich (turkey, avocado, red onion, pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, on sourdough - $9.95). We both really enjoyed our meals! And want to go back to try more things on their menu!
I love that the menu offers something for both meat-friendly and veggie-friendly diets. And the craft beer menu offers many intriguing choices! Too bad we were driving back to Reno, otherwise we would have sampled some of those, too! Next time ...Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

One of my favorite spots and I think it's closed. There is a sign on the door saying stay safe, see you when it's social distancing is done, but the windows are boarded up and there is a for sale sign. So sad to see this lovely, scrumptious, local Auburn spot go. Hoping maybe they will come back. Best avocados, veggie sandwiches, exceptional staff, and Chimay on draft. Truly a gem!

A fun and funky small town pub, with surprisingly decent food options, a robust beer menu and friendly local characters. Very affordable too!
We stopped here on the drive back from Tahoe (perfect halfway point), and had some delicious hot pressed sandwiches, beer, and stuffed avocados. They have quite a few vegan and vegetarian options, too.
Cozy bar area in front, with a larger dining area in the back. It would feel divey if it weren't for the quality beer menu & solid food options. If you want to eat & drink like the locals, or just grab a quick, casual & hearty bite, this is surely one spot to do it!Helpful 14Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Veronica C.Sacramento, CA73413Aug 12, 2019
Love the atmosphere. Nice selection of board games to relax and play while dining and visiting with friends. We were here with our 5 year old grandson. He really enjoyed it. The food is great there stuffed avocado is wonderful. We are vegan and enjoyed the hummus stuffed avocado just the right amount of spicy ness. The vegan sandwich is so large and a great variety of veggies.

Loves this! Easy on and off the freeway, almost as quick as a drive through but way way better! We were able to stop in, grab a beer, eat and get on the road quick. It was such a killer vibe, hospital service by Tyler, good music, interesting beer choices. The wall murals were beautiful and the food was outstanding. This will be our destination pub when going to Reno. Can't wait to visit again. We had the Cali dip sandwich which was a neat combination of turkey, pepper jack cheese and dipped in au jus.
If you go in and eat, have at it, if you go in and just have a beer, you'll love that too! This is worth the visit!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Stephen R.San Jose, CA158254188Mar 6, 2017
Ended up here while on a ski trip to Tahoe looking for late night food. It's in a very quiet area, though I think it may be a main street in Auburn. This is a small bar/restaurant that seems like it's where the locals go, laid back vibe.
It's laid out like a bar but don't you worry, they serve food! The drinks and sandwich I got were fine but easily overshadowed by the stuffed avocado appetizer!! I can't believe I've never had something like this before. Envision an avocado sliced in half, filled with cream cheese, and topped with smokey almonds and garlic spices!! If you are not salivating at this point you may want to check your pulse ;P We opted out of the wasabi and siracha, I honestly think so much spice takes away from a dish like this.
If you have a bucket list stuffed avocado should be added to that list. This place stays open relatively late, and is not too far from the freeway.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Johhny P.Roseville, CA03110Jan 7, 2018
I am new to Auburn, what a great find!
Live the ambience, beer selection and food! Firefighter sandwich is my fav so far! Will be back soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal C.Sacramento, CA2233411245Jun 20, 2016
If you enjoy good beers and sandwiches, check this place out.
The food is fresh and of quality, no filler meats here. Great sandwiches, I had an Italian type sandwich, I forgot the exact name. It came with tortilla chips and a pickle spear. Next time I'll try their famous stuffed avocado.
The gals working the deli in the back were efficient and pleasant. The front contains the bar and the deli and dining area is in the back. The vibe had a hipster feel, but inviting.
They have their own parking lot on the side of the building. Or park in the city lot across the street.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 19, 2013
Laid back, casual pub and deli in downtown Auburn.
We ordered, "The Firefighter and Reuben." Firefighter is a turkey pannini with jack cheese, thin slices of onions, slices of jalapeno and cream cheese. The Reuben was your typical average Reuben, hubs and I both agreed it could have used a little more Thousand Island. They really pride themselves in using nitrate free meats. They even have the different meats for sale at $9.99 a pound. I did notice that they have a number of vegan and gluten free items on their menu. We washed our delicious sammies with a "Great White" beer. Recommendation from the bartender, when we asked for a beer similar to a Hefeweizen that's on tap. Great choice!
Little Belgium has fourteen beers on tap and over 40 different bottled beers. I can't wait to go back and try their famous stuffed avocado and maybe another great beer!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Aja J.Auburn, CA2519Feb 16, 2019
