Clean, cheap food! Must def place to visit if you're a hipster and/or health nut like me!
Location is to the left of bdubbs and to the right of Starbucks. Street parking (metered) on side streets off Cedar.
Be sure to check out Groupon for deals (~50-60% off - super clutch Yelpie tip right here show me some love fellow Yelpies :)
Will add more after meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alexander B.Menlo Park, CA389214Feb 4, 2011
I like this place for an occasional healthy-er alternative to bar food or MELT. My favorite dish is the Greek Chicken. The place is very brightly lit, good for studying, as many have commented. Their fresh teas are more affordable than the smoothies.
The one thing that drives me nuts about this place is the corporate art work. There is a giant tryptic on one wall, showing people of all ages jumping exuberantly into the air, as if to say "These smoothies make us explode with energy!" Alas, Grandpa also looks like he's possessed by the devil, and about to have his way with Grandma. And the young man in the middle just looks embarrassed to be involved with this young woman leaping over him. They are clearly stock photo cutouts. Ok, it's actually really funny, but not in a way that I want hanging over me for an entire meal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Katie C.Ferndale, MI1255260Feb 6, 2012
The smoothies are great, and there's a huge variety with different supplements you can add.
I've had a pizza from here and a rice bowl. The pizza was delicious. It was thin crust and the sauce was different from any other pizza sauce I've ever had. It was creamier, but it still wasn't thick. It was something I would expect to come on pasta. My rice bowl was just ok. The vegetables were like half cooked half raw, and I wasn't in to that (some people might be, but i'm not). It was the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and there was too much teriyaki sauce on it. All in all the pizza gets a yay and the rice bowl gets an ok. The smoothies get a super yay!
I'll be back :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jen N.Cleveland Heights, OH151Jul 6, 2017
I was disappointed in a visit to the store this afternoon. The workers behind the counter seemed disinterested in helping customers, and we had to interrupt their conversation to ask to be waited upon.
I orderded the black bean soup, which was a gray, liquidy mixture that included a few black beans. When I asked if I could switch my order, as this was inedible, I was told I could get a different soup, but I would have to pay for it.
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because my companions ordered smoothies that they enjoyed.
Definitely not returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Megan C.Point Pleasant Beach, NJ0423Dec 12, 2017
Overpriced food and tiny portions. The service is horrible and the taste of the rice was just disgusting, i don't think i'll be going back again

I really love places like these, despite their lack of "grittiness" and "authentic Cleveland appeal." I stepped into this oasis of smoothies, salads, rice bowls, and pitas yesterday while in the area and was very soothed, if that makes sense. I love smoothies, and I realize I haven't found a place in Cleve-o devoted exclusively, or at least partially, to making them.
Not to say that I want a Jamba Juice on every other corner or anything. But I like smoothies and don't always feel like making them myself at home. 'Cause I'm not really into keeping acai berries around the apartment.
This place was kind of a faux-hipster haven, though. People dressed up like they walked out of the movie 'Singles' although undoubtedly not as poor...using wi-fi like it was their job. Well, it definitely could have been related to their job. But whatever.
It was only after walking out of there and back on yelp that I read reviews of this place (albeit, not this location) and that many people think highly of Liquid Planet. I was surprised, because it's so shiny and has a west-coast vibe that I thought some people might be turned off by it. (I wasn't...but I did chuckle a little bit while inside.) People have a lot of good things to say about their food as well as their smoothies. If I lived in Cleveland Heights I would be stopping by at least once a week.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Sophie Z.Cleveland, OH38491129Dec 8, 2013
I think I've got a smoothie obsession. At home, I like to blend my own frozen berries with fresh fruits, but when I'm feeling lazy (pretty often), I love hitting up my favorite smoothie places in town.
Liquid planet is definitely one of my favorites. They have a huge selection of fruits and veggies that they blend to order. Their oatmeal smoothies are actually one of my favorites. It's got the chunky oatmeal and fruits and I just feel so healthy when I drink one even if I'm just drinking a lot of sugar. But if you're a fan of something not so chunky, their regular smoothies are also pretty delicious.
I've also recently discovered their egg wrapps. They're way cheaper than a breakfast bagel sandwich at Bruegger's and definitely healthier. It's a good place to hit if you're looking for a healthy breakfast to go. You can also get their coffee for cheap if you order one of these breakfast wraps.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael C.New York, NY1014891Feb 27, 2014
I was looking at my half-completed reviews (this one being one of them) when I realized that I still have a $20 Liquid Planet Groupon I haven't used!
Hungry and thirsty, I frantically logged on to Groupon, only to find that it has expired..
..expired coupons for food are the worst kind of expired coupons.
But regardless, I love Liquid Planet and ended up going anyway. They use frozen banana + apple juice as the base sweetener for all their smoothies except the Fuzzy Navel (which btw is delicious). I lovee that they do this instead of using Splenda, which in my opinion takes a fresh fruit-flavored smoothie and turns it into cheap crap (cough* Tropical Smoothie).
The first time I went to Liquid Planet I ordered the Mick's Mixed Berries. Absolutely delicious, especially if you love berry smoothies, and I loved that there were tiny bits of seed in it (to confirm the use of real fruits). The second time I went, I decided to try something new, which I always do when I make return trips to restaurants.
Five minutes later, I left LP with a Mick's Mixed Berries in my hand. Same thing happened the third time ...and several times after that. I swear this never happens, but that smoothie just hit all the right notes! Great ratio of tart to sweet to sour. My addiction to Mick's lasted approximately a year and I have since moved on to Blueberry Peach Cobbler (which happens to be right below Mick's on the menu). It's been over a year now of Blueberry Peach Cobbler. At this rate, I will never get around to trying all 34 smoothies..
Food is not bad and usually feels healthy, but I almost always opt for the Peanut Thai rice bowl (easily the best of all the rice bowls). Yes Liquid Planet is a little expensive, and that is my only gripe with them. But in the end it's not bad for a once-in-a-while treat, especially if you use their stamp cards and if you purchase their $10 for $20 Groupon. Just don't be a dumbass and let it expire...

I like that it's a local company but I stopped in today and nearly all the prices on the board were taped over because I can only assume they were all raised. That and nearly all the smoothies are fruit heavy. Why not have a few veggie options? $8 for a pita or rice bowl?! Price and options keep me from being a more frequent customer.
