I have been taking my cats to Leo's for over ten years now - I started at the original office on 106th street, and then when the second location opened on Main street in Carmel, transitioned there.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and Dr Magnusson provides excellent care - he is thorough and explains the findings, diagnosis and treatment options clearly.

The staff at Leo's has been so amazing for my dog. Since my dog was a puppy they have been there to answer all of my questions, give me advice on treatment plans and recommend services while being fully transparent about cost and alternative options. Dog vet bills can be expensive!

I also love their vaccines for life program which has helped save me money over time. They can easily send the vaccine records to daycares or boarding for proactive monitoring of expirations.

I have been so pleased with everything about Leo's.

Leo's continues to take the best care of my fur baby Cricket. She especially loves seeing Jade and Angel she won't go with anyone else. I think Dr. M is working his way in there

Dr G is incredibly thorough. She explains everything and I love the way she presents yo pets options. I've had pretty bad experience with emergency vets and Dr G never pushes us in any way when it comes to treatment options. We usually have pretty good success with getting our dogs in day of if need be. And Angel is a literal Angel. She saves my life every time I need something with my dogs. She is so, so smart! She always knows just what to say when I call with questions. I'm extremely happy with Leo's, I would recommend. We have visited the Indianapolis location without incident but we prefer our friends at the Carmel location (:

Leo's was able to get us in same day AGAIN today. Abby and Dr G were great with Stanley despite him feeling so lousy. They are honest yet alleviate my nerves. Abby is super smart and answered all my questions. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate their understanding when it comes to money. They present a pre-invoice with everything they recommend, as if money weren't an object and then give you some private time to think about how you'd like to proceed. There's no pressure whatsoever to do it all. Stanley was improving almost immediately after seeing Abby and Dr G, they have the magic touch!!

Thank you so much! I tell people all the time that Dr. Gilliam and Angel are fantastic and we are honored to have both of them as part of the Leo's family, so I'm not offended at all that you love them. :) -Dr. Magnusson

Doggies, Kitties! when it's time for the vet, Leo's is the place to be!

The people here really care about our pets. They are gentle and take their time. I never feel rushed and always leave knowing I got excellent pet care.

      Thank you Leo's Pet Care!

I just switched vets to Leo's and I'm very happy with how they take care of my animals. They're efficient and super honest. I've never felt like they've tried to sell me something I don't need.

Just moved here with my Old English Bulldog who needed her shots updated and some Mometamax for her ear infection.

I booked an appointment here and was seen promptly. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice.

While Dr. Gilliam was kind and thorough, I can't say the same about their practice and the veterinary technician. They employ top to bottom sales tactic. This is fine, that's the way of ensuring a pet is protected and a way for the office to make money.

What really didn't sit well with me was post-diagnosis. I was aware my dog had a bacterial ear infection because it's something that happened in the past. I was also aware that treatment with Mometamax helps every time. I relayed that information to Dr. Gilliam, but we also performed cytology - the result was as predicted.

What really bothered me is that the vet tech proceeded to tell me that my dog also needed a treatment of Keflex, Depo Medrol, and Carprofen. That's an awful lot of side effects (diarrhea, frequent urination) just to try and fix a simple ear infection, and should be tried only if the drops fail to help.

After two days, a significant improvement had occurred, just like in the past. If I had followed through with the tech's recommendations, my dog would be unnecessarily miserable... all because it's profitable. This is not okay.

Be on the lookout for that.

I took my lab mix in for a regular check up, some shots, and an anal gland expression. When my sister told them my dog needed to be muzzled for the anal gland expression, they muzzled my dog up for the entire visit and tried to express her anal glands first which made the rest of our visit a nightmare. They didn't finish the exam and still charged for the entire visit. Now they are saying that my dog needs to be drugged and muzzled for all future visits when my dog has never had this issue in the past--ever! It was clear to me the technician was nervous and unsure of what to do and made my dog feel nervous too. For a vet, they should know how to handle different dogs and I felt they did a very poor job of handling my dog. I also provided my dogs shots history and they tried to give my dog a rabies shots when she isn't due for another year. With that said, Dr. Gilliam sounded like she knew what she was talking about which is the only positive I can come up with. They are poor communicators and never made a follow-up call when they said they would (I had to call them). I wouldn't recommend this vet to my friends, let alone my family. Makes me question choosing businesses based on reviews because these people seem incompetent.

Update 4/5/18: In response to Dr. Magnusson, I just reached out to my previous vet because I wasn't aware they felt that way about my dog and they just claimed they don't know where Dr. Magnusson is getting that impression. My previous vet office only recommended giving my dog medication ONCE on our very last visit (we have since moved out of state) and it was just suggested by a young technician, not the vet! To say that she has a "long documented history" is false because my previous vet never felt the need for it. They sent me the same records they sent you and you're lying. For the record, I recommended medicating my dog for nail trims when I first brought her into that same vet office 3 years ago and they were the ones who said it wasn't needed. Please get your facts right and don't make things up to save face. I don't gain anything from lying, and I was the one who paid full price for an incomplete "examination" if you could even call it that...

Your technician was trying to pat my dog's head when my dog was dodging your tech's touch (made it obvious she was head shy) and your tech was also pulling on my dog's leash roughly in attempt to get her to move. She clearly isn't experienced to be working with dogs as she has no clue how to read their behavior. My sister and I were able to get my dog under control. As "professionals," you should be able to do the same. Also, my dog has never harmed anyone so why are you talking about "continued injury." Please stop accusing my dog of things she has never done--you're the one putting her in danger.

I will make sure to tell my next vet how to properly handle my dog so you don't need to worry. I can even send them my previous vet's records since they are accurate. She only needs muzzling for anal gland expressions (as my previous vet noted in the information she sent you!) and that needs to be done at the very end so she's not frazzled for the rest of the visit--this seems so obvious and my previous vet understood this. You clearly weren't able to figure that out.

Medicating dogs before a vet visit can lead to confusion on their behalf. How is that helping with their fear and anxiety? Can you even guarantee you'd be able to figure out if there is anything wrong with them if they aren't able to be themselves? It just seems to help you and my priority is my dog's well-being, not making your job easy, I hope you understand this.

Thanks for your time on our behalf. I believe all parties have learned from this experience.

All the staff was friendly, informative, and very gentle and loving with my dog.

They explained pricing and confirmed that I was OK with the total for the visit before proceeding with the exam. It was nice to not have sticker shock when paying at the end of the appointment.

My feisty little 3 lb. 14 year old Chihuahua was less than thrilled about getting his vaccine and his ears cleaned, but both Dr. Gilliam and the tech were beyond gentle and patient with him.

      Great experience!
