Just had to drop a review for Lemon Poppy Kitchen after the awesome breakfast I had there. First off, their breakfast burrito is a game changer - so flavorful and cooked just right. And if you're a coffee lover like me, you've gotta try their espresso. It's really good - strong and just hit the spot!
Service-wise, these guys were on point. Quick, friendly, and they knew their stuff. Made the whole experience super smooth.
Oh, and you have to sit out on their patio! It's super comfy and just a great spot to chill and enjoy your meal. It's got a nice vibe that just adds to the whole experience.
All in all, Lemon Poppy Kitchen is the place to go for a chill breakfast with great food and vibes. Definitely coming back for more!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 28, 2024Updated review
I keep coming back here because of the breakfast burrito although I always see lovely plates of food come out of their kitchen.
I am trying to decide whose breakfast burrito is better...theirs or Delia's (also nearby). They both got the potato, egg and bacon thing going in just the right way but both have different sauces but both equally good. There is something about Lemon Poppyseed's crispy potatoes and the bacon and egg is just yum. Maybe I will quit deciding who is best and enjoy the fact there are two breakfast burrito's nearby that satisfy the urge when it arises.
Besides telling you they have a delicious burrito they also have a variety of coffee and morning drinks to help a person get their day started. The reason for the four is service as it varies between walk up counter and then sit down. Today for instance I got my food before my drinks which came a lot later.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Nov 22, 2013Previous reviewI've been here three times now for breakfast and I can say without a doubt, the food is good here. Especially the huge biscuits! A hidden gem tucked away in a tiny strip mall that is tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Eagle Rock. The place is small and every time I've been the place has been full however, I've never had to wait for seat as there is always one lone table available. The tables are small so big parties be warned but it's the perfect spot to grab a paper and enjoy some comfort grub. You place your order at the counter which is a good idea because it makes everyone look at their wonderful bake goods. From pumpkin muffins to coffee cakes to big ole biscuits your eyes will delight at the visual bakery feast! Reasonably priced, I enjoy the breakfast biscuit sandwich for $4 bucks! My fellow diners have commented their enjoyment of the food as well. If you are in the neighborhood check it out!

My fave couple brought me to this cozy and pretty place in Glendale to try Romanian food coz her hubby is Romanian and we are lucky to found Lemon Poppy.
We love the food and Madeleine because of her superb service. They have a variety of food selection no wonder their guests coming that night are Europeans, Americans and Asians, interesting!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 13, 2023
Lemon Poppy Kitchen is a cute place on the corner of plaza off of Verdugo Road.
I had a chance to dine in and get a bite over the weekend.
FOOD
Winter Chop + Salmon
A winter appropriate and very tasty salad with vinaigrette dressing. The salmon was nicely done and with crispy skin and moist. The roasted sweet potato, butternut squash, fire roasted red peppers, avocado, green onion, toasted pepitas, and fried capers was a great balance. Though, I would suggest a bit more greens or another hearty green.
SERVICE
The staff was friendly, and the food wait time was acceptable.
PARKING
There is plenty of parking spaces in the plaza.
PRICE
The price is fair with other eateries that serves a winter salad with a salmon add on.
Give Lemon Poppy Kitchen a chance and try their lunch or dinner menu!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 3028497Mar 28, 2024
Quaint sunny space that serves very fresh salads and sandwiches, pastries and coffee as well. Very relaxing, chill service you don't want to leave. I'll go back anytime I find myself in area.

Holy Schnitzel! Been a minute since I was here last. Now, table service and as always, an awesome menu with nods to Hungary, Austria and Mexico.
As someone who grew up on goulash and paprikash, I praise the stab at schnitzel. Slightly thicker than it's Austrian counterparts, this dish was also enormous. Two pounded out chicken filets (had to box one to go) with the perfect breading and crunch. The chicken can run dry due to its thickness but the jicama and pepper slaw moisten it up. And while I appreciate the charred lemon, it unfortunately zaps the much needed juice from it. Citrus is always a wonderful counterpart to fried foods as it cuts the grease. Just wanted more.
Overall, another great experience. And as usual, service is always on point.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hello S.San Francisco, CA0374Apr 13, 2024
Food was tasty.
Biscuit sandwich was a good breakfast. High quality eggs and tasty sausage patty.

We loved our meal here at Lemon Poppy Kitchen. I miss a good Italian polenta with marinara, but this Mamaliga (crispy fried polenta with red peppers, pork belly, fried egg and feta & Monterey Jack) far surpassed my polenta experience heretofore. The Cali Scramble (cremini mushrooms, spinach, onions, Swiss cheese, garlic-thyme butter) was excellent as well. But the shining star was the toast--never had better focaccia, butter & jam. The coconut banana bread was a bit dry but tasty. Would've been great with a glass of fresh milk. Our servers were wonderful. We ate out on the patio along with a few other parties and seemed to be in good company. Keep it up, Lemon Poppy Kitchen!

Lemon Poppy Kitchen consistently has great food. I love the Chicken Paprikash, the Salmon Spaetzle, and the Crispy Fried Potatoes. For coffee, I like the iced oat vanilla latte - super smooth espresso. It's got a great patio, and for people with reactive dogs like mine, there's a few picnic tables diagonally across the way (next to the art gallery) and that area's usually pretty empty and good for dogs who need more space.

My friend and I came here for brunch last Saturday. The shaded outdoor patio was lovely, weather notwithstanding. It was hot and humid, but the staff kept us duly supplied with cold water. (I also got the most refreshing Hibiscus Shandy!)
The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. They were also quite busy keeping up with the orders, and I appreciated their hustle.
I ordered the LPK Frittata, while my friend ordered the Flapjacks & Chicken. Both were incredibly delicious.
I look forward to trying out more of the brunch dishes!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
