Legendary Doughnuts

I'm surprised by some of the reviews because I popped in here unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon. Donuts were well stocked and all I wanted was a coffee. The barista was super nice, and the latte was REALLY good!! The smell of the donuts were so un-resistible that I had to peek at them. I saw the BIGGEST maple bar I've ever seen in the glass. My husband is a sucker for maple bars, so I picked him up one. When I gave it to him, he ate it in record time. He said it was one of the best maple bars he's ever had - and that's saying something. Cheers to the barista she was super friendly and helpful!

Really 3.5. Excellent selection but frankly the donuts were on the dry side and the flavor wasn't as good as the other shops I've been too. However, I gave them 3 stars as they do have a large selection of some very creative donuts. There were no cake donuts on my visit.

Delicious, huge and fun donuts for good prices. The salted caramel doughsant was insane and I'll be back to try the rest of those!

I always come here for the boozy ball doughnuts. I think they are by far the best. They typically don't have any made at 6am but Jean was nice enough to make me some. They really should always staff 2 in the mornings because it can get super busy and sometimes the employees get overwhelmed. Also had the creme brûlée doughnuts but it didn't have the hard surface like they usually do. That's why I'm knocking off a star. Overall consistent establishment.

Went here today for a doughnut and coffee for New Year's Eve, which was on a Sunday for a breakfast coffee and doughnut. The place was totally empty. Service was fine, but confusion as to what a 16oz latte was made with, 2 or 3 espresso shots. That has to be the most popular drink with a donut and there is confusion on how to make it? And then the coffee was so scalded that it tasted burnt. It was bad. The doughnuts were fine, but so sweet. I know it's a doughnut (relax... I know that sounds weird) but I ordered the crème brûlée doughnut which had a whiskey cream. The brûlée was awesome, brûléed very nice, but the cream was just so sweet, no balance of cream and whiskey ( which was what they said it would taste like) just one note sweet on sweet. Hubby ordered the Apple fritter which was okay, but tasted a little stale. I wish I would have bought the chocolate glazed donut which came out freshly made aa we were waiting. Rookie mistake. We probably won't be back, which bums me out, as we try to support local businesses. Next up to try - Paos, which was unfortunately closed for New Year's Eve breakfast. Many were driving through the parking lot, probably also disappointed.

I love a good donut and Legendary Doughnuts definitely delivers!

I've been here several times and just realized I've never written a review, but after this most recent visit had two of my favorite donuts ever from Legendary.

I'll start by saying the size of the donuts are pretty big and can be shared with 1-2 others, especially if you buy a few different flavors to try. Also, the prices are extremely reasonable.

I got the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter and the Raspberry Pull Apart. The chocolate chip peanut butter is a raised ring topped with chocolate, peanut butter cream, and chocolate chips... everything about this donut was spot on from the peanut butter cream on top to the light and fluffy texture of the donut itself. Next, the raspberry pull apart was really good - the dough was light and the raspberry jelly was tart (could've used more jelly on top).

The employees are always friendly and provide great customer service and the donuts are amazing!

Hands down, the best donuts in Tacoma! You can't go wrong! They are always a crowd pleaser visually and tastiness-wise. I actually heard some say Legendary Donuts are better than Portland's Voo-Doo donuts.

My family does "donut Mondays" and we rarely ever stray from legendary donuts. The selection is amazing and you'll always find new cool flavors.

The donuts themselves are massive (hence the donut cut in half). My ABSOLUTE favorite flavor is the creme brûlée donut! They even brûlée them to order. Pure heaven!

Plus the staff is super friendly, which is just the icing on the cake (or donut)!

The. Worst. Apple Fritter. Ever.

I wish I could give zero stars, because as you can see 1 star is way too generous. I would drive there if they weren't closed for the day and request a refund. I thought maybe it tasted better then the way it looked and now I have burnt cinnamon & sugar in my mouth that coffee can't even get rid of. I'm still in shock that they didn't throw this away! It just shows how little they care about quality. Throwing straight in the garbage. Burning the money I spent on door dash would have been a better decision then ordering these donuts. Pure. Garbage.

I have only ever purchased donuts from house of donuts. Because they are the best.
Move over house of Donuts. Legendary donuts is amazing!!!
I get donuts a few times a month for meeting at work.
Now my staff asks for Legendary only.
Select is great and they all taste amazing! They look fabulous.
My personal favorite is the croissant doughnut. Mmmmm
