LedgeStone Country Club is definitely worth a visit if you are a low-to-mid handicap golfer. If you are a high handicapper or are looking for a resort-style place to play, this golf course will eat you for lunch (and a dozen of your golf balls, too!).
The course is well maintained, and the front and back play like two different golf courses. The front nine is a tad more forgiving than the back with the holes being a bit more open off the tee. The back nine has many blind tee shots and risk/reward situations. The setting is beautiful, with many of the holes offering spectacular views of the surrounding area. There are five sets of tees that allow the course to play very differently, so be sure to play the set that best suits your game.
The golf course is kept in good condition and is very playable. The rough isn't too deep and is fair, the fairways have quite a few undulations, and the greens are of moderate to large size and roll true. If you do not hit the ball straight off the tee, you will find yourself in the woods, where legend has it the carts will lose power automatically as the woods are off limits (fortunately, I didn't have to confirm this). The carts also have interactive GPS units on them.
The pro shop was adequate, with the staff being friendly but not overly accommodating. If you are stopping at the turn, they have an above average bar area with the standard food choices.
All in all, LedgeStone Country Club is a good golf choice. I will most certainly return here in the future.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charles H.Overland Park, KS02Aug 12, 2021
Good golf course, horrible staff. My sons and I arrived looking forward to a nice afternoon of golf. I made the reservation and asked if there was any rules or issues I needed to know about before playing. I was told no. On the day we played before I could pay I was challenged about one of my sons lack of a collar on his shirt. He looked pretty good for an 18 year old. The staff treated me like I was 10 years old. After I pressed hard about the arbitrary treatment and refusal to allow an 18 year old without a collared shirt on the course after I had requested any rules that I need to know about, the staff "relented" and graced me with the opportunity to play when it was 95 degrees and no one else was on the course. The staff told me to "look out for the owners" who were apparently skulking around the grounds looking for noncompliant golfers. The comment I got from many that I relayed this story to was "really, someone in the Ozarks wears a shirt...". All kidding aside, the terse treatment and pettiness impacted my sons more than me. I could tell that it took them a few holes to start to enjoy themselves after it became apparent the threat of some owner prowling about was an empty one.
There are plenty of other beautiful and friendly places to play in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Bill K.Denton, TX202910Jun 18, 2014First to Review
Welcome yourself to a great day on the course when you pull into the parking lot at LedgeStone! The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous from check-in throughout the day. They allowed me to demo one of their rental drivers, and adjustable Titleist 913D and helped me set it up to my specs. We had a 4:00 tee time to get the twilight rate, but they let us go off about 30 min early because we were the last group scheduled for the day. There are adequate water stations on the course and a self serve ice/water station at the turn. They also offer full service inside the clubhouse at the turn and the end of the round. The girl running the service cart was attentive and friendly.
The golf course was in excellent shape when we played. The course is fair, the rough is well maintained, and the greens roll true with very few blemishes. The course is full of spectacular views from the tee boxes! There is plenty of challenge for all skill levels, but if you are a 15 handicap or higher, I recommend the white tees! I am an 18 hcp and the blues or golds would have sent my score well into triple digits!
All in all, this is a great golf location. Branson has several great courses and LedgeStone ranks up there in the top 2-3! I would recommend it to my friends and will definitely be back many times in the future!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Drew S.Fall Creek, WI05Jun 23, 2018
We have played here many times as we love the course itself. Course management and staffing isn't very good. Not very excited to see paying customers. We stay in my grandma's timeshare 100 yards from the clubhouse and they won't give us the "owner rate" because we aren't on the "deed". Thursday we paid the darn near $100 a piece to play and they didn't bother to tell us they had an outing of 30 people (most of which couldn't hit a golf ball 30 yards if they tried) go out in front of us. The back 9 took nearly 3 hours. We typically play there at least 5 times a year when we're in town. Branson Hills and Buffalo Ridge will get my money from now on.

This course was highly recommended to us. Unfortunately, it was somewhat disappointing. Not sure how they can call themselves a country club. No one greeted us at the bag drop. And there were golfers in blue jeans on the driving range. Either they don't have a dress code or they don't enforce it. We had to take care of our own bags. Pro shop not overly welcome either and we later discovered that we were behind two small outings, so our round turned into a miserable 5 1/2 hours. The course is nice and in decent shape, but I would inquire the next time about the outings before playing. We felt taken advantage of. Had a much better next day at Buffalo Ridge!

Be careful when going to the course. The traffic from Silver Dollar Park is horrible. Then when you get to the gate it was closed and no one answers the phone. I tried finding the second gate. Which none of the GPS systems new where. When I did get someone from the pro shop they told me to go back to the gate that took me an hour to get to because of traffic. They lost my business today. Hope they figure out how to get people into the golf course.
