I had a tight deadline of less than a month before my wedding, and it was also peak Bay Area wedding season. Most seamstresses I contacted wouldn't even take my call. Marina saved the day!

Marina did a perfect job with a two week turnaround time. She is very reassuring and no nonsense. I can see why she has a perfect review. A lot of other places I researched had some concerning and emotionally charged reviews

The price was unbeatable. Some places I went to wanted to charge $300 for a bustle, which I felt was ridiculous. Marina even took the cost of steaming off when I decided to do it myself

It's a no brainer. I will recommend Le Caprice to anyone who needs wedding dress alterations

BRIDES! Stop looking elsewhere for a bridal tailor because Marina is IT.

Firstly, as a type-A overworried kind of bride, I'm weary about where to get my dress(es) tailored, and did a ton of research. I read through every single reddit thread that mentions any bay area bridal tailors, and Le Caprice/Marina kept coming up. Then I found out my friend got her Berta dress tailored here and the dress fits her like a glove!! That's when I know, fantastic, I need to take all my dresses to Marina from now on.

I first brought two rehearsal/welcome dinner dresses to Marina and she did a fantastic job. One of the two dresses is a mini dress from Katherine Tash I'm obsessed with, but the fit was never quite right. This dress has gone through the hands of two other tailors until Marina finally fixed it for me, once and for all, and I'm SO beyond happy! For example, there was a piece of the lining that was showing on my skirt, and Marina brought out scissors and started cutting the fabric while I was still wearing the dress! You could tell she's incredibly confident because she's competent. For this other longer silk satin dress, she's meticulous, and pointed out details that normal ppl would not have noticed but these details matter: "those hooks on the back are showing! they aren't supposed to show!" I got both of these dresses back only a little after a month and she did an epic job on both.

I also think it's important to point out that Marina's prices are incredibly reasonable, and she's transparent. She will NOT upsell you or charge you more, just because you bring in an expensive gown. She treats everyone with COMPLETE KINDNESS, and I unfortunately cannot say the same about other bridal seamstresses that I had interacted with in the past.

I am coming back for my actual wedding gown alterations in a few months, and will for sure write a happy update with photos after the wedding!!! Thank you Marina! You are the kindest and most talented soul! I can't wait! :)

What a lovely job Marina did on my wedding dress!!!
I was recommended by THREE brides to go to Le Caprice and I'm so relieved I did.

For starters, my dress was originally purchased as 3-4 sizes too large and she magically made it fit like a glove!! She also did a hem and added a bustle and with quick turn around. I was worried about the detailed lace at the neckline and waist of my dress, but she did a great job making sure to preserve all of the lace. I had also lost weight during the process and she made sure to go back and take it in more to make me happy.

Marina is a no-nonsense owner who gets it done and done correctly. Her experience and talent is unmatched. When it comes to an important piece like your wedding dress, you want to go to an expert and that is exactly what Marina is.

Marina is AMAZING!! I've brought in several bridesmaid and wedding dresses to be altered and she's always super efficient and straightforward during the appointments. Her prices are very reasonable, I've told some friends about how much it cost to get my dress altered and the quotes they got were always pricier than Marina's.

Couple months ago, a friend was panicking about her wedding coming up and her dress still not fitting quite right (despite costly alterations from her original
seamstress), and Marina was able to fit her in for an appointment and get it perfectly altered just in time for the wedding! My own wedding is coming up soon too, so I'm glad that Marina was able to see me in the dress a couple weeks ago to confirm that it didn't need any more alterations!

Usually budget 3-4 weeks for any alterations since they're quite busy/popular, but if you do have a deadline they can still try their best to make it work!

Getting alterations at Le Caprice was a straight forward process. Marina is really no-nonsense (which can sometimes feel brusque) but overall the dress fit well and the bustle was easy to use.

I am deducting a star because they lost my dress bag that had extra buttons in it. They also put the dress and veil in a plastic bag that was very difficult to transport.

I'm so grateful I entrusted my wedding dress with Marina! She is very skillful and adjusted the length, shoulders, bust and waist while still preserving the original style of the dress. Her pricing and turnaround time were very reasonable compared to other tailors. Furthermore she has a very reassuring manner that made me feel confident my dress would fit perfectly on my wedding day, which it did! Thank you Marina!!

I recently brought in my wedding dress for alterations. The price was reasonable for shortening the dress, taking in the bodice, and adding a bustle (I had checked with two other places beforehand). The dress looked great and fit well, and the overall process was easy and painless! Definitely would recommend going to Le Caprice!

Look no further for the best seamstress in the Bay Area. I have had the pleasure of meeting Marina 12 years ago when I was dress shopping and I couldn't find what I wanted at an affordable price. I spoke with Marina and shared my vision with her and she asked that I buy the material and she will create my dream dress. And that I did. I worked with her over 6 months and she left me looking like I envisioned on special day. The details in the dress alone was more than I could have asked for. I wanted a ball gown with a long train with pleats and accessories and she designed the whole thing.

Her art and craft is like none other. She is meticulous , patient, creative, and most importantly such a genuinely caring person who just gets it.
I have referred my sisters and best friend and she has always come through. She isn't just reliable, she is committed to ensuring you walk out of her shop smiling and feeling like a million bucks.

After 12 years she is always my go to! Just recently for my sisters wedding, day if I had a mishap and I called Marina (weekend and all) and left her a message about an emergency need. She was there as quick as a snap. I was surprised bc I figured I'd take my chances since I knew she was off, but she came through and fixed my up and lifted my spirits. I couldn't thank her enough. I love you Marina and thank you for everything.

To say that Marina is great at altering wedding dresses is almost an insult for how extraordinary and amazing she is! She's just a miracle worker in disguise! I couldn't believe how gorgeous my daughter looked with her wedding dress, and it was not an easy task to have it altered, it was at least 3 sizes bigger and my daughter was 3 months pregnant when she started and almost 5 months when she was done... so every time she went to see Marina it was an extra challenge for her, but she never looked frustrated, on the contrary she enjoyed the challenge, and by the time she was done with the dress it was so gorgeous and perfect for my daughter that everybody at the wedding absolutely loved it!

I needed Le Caprice's help.

I had bought my dress at the size the vendor recommended and already suffered through 3 fitting with the vendor, only to be told they couldn't magically fix my dress.

Then I went here Le Caprice and guess what they did?

Magically fixed my dress in a fraction of the time and price.

Suddenly the dress fit and because it fit, it didn't feel like I was carrying a hundred pounds on my shoulders. I felt beautiful and all my girlhood dreams of having The Dress felt met.
