About the Business
Since 1993, Lazzari's has been the go-to lunch spot for working professionals and a crave-worthy late-night hang out for college students. We make our New York-style pizza fresh every day, using our own dough and a whole lot of pride, and we're known for our spicy chicken pizza -- the Randy Ross Pizza -- named for a longtime customer who would order it every single day. (If you've tried it, you understand why.) In the past 25 years, our commitment to fast service, premium ingredients, and to building lasting relationships with our customers hasn't changed. It never will. We believe that New York-style pizza is the best in the world, and we're passionate about bringing those authentic flavors of the Big Apple to Lincoln.

While I'm glad you enjoyed your lovely pizzas, Lina, I'm sorry that it took so long to prepare. We do our best to provide pizzas in a timely fashion, though sometimes we fall behind. I can assure you this isn't a normal occurrence, and we'd love to have you back so we can try to redeem ourselves.
Best,

Y'all, I don't know how they won best pizza in Lincoln.
We ordered from here this evening. Two pizzas. Pepperoni (whatever their title for this is) and Margherita.
The overall flavors were OK. The balsamic vinegar on the Margherita was delicious. But the motz did not melt enough, or wasn't of the best quality because it had the consistency of tofu.
The pizza would likely be decent if their crust was thick enough to support their topping allowance. The cheese:pepperoni:crust ratio was way off. Think 10% crust, 45% pepperoni, 45% cheese. The pictures will explain my concern. This also goes for the Margherita pizza-although the rations are obviously different.
The crust has a different taste too... like the dough was stored in a dirty fridge and absorbed the flavors of the fridge?
Just view the photos!
I will give one more try to verify that this was not a one-off situation... but it was not the best first experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew B.Omaha, NE2762104May 10, 2015
Lazzaris is just your classic college pizza spot. The Randy Ross is by far the go to pizza on the menu and I love the story behind it. I believe he was their old Budweiser delivery guy and would always custom order a pizza so they just ended up putting it on the menu. It's spicy chicken, pepperoni, and cream cheese. Cream cheese on a pizza: unreal. He still goes in today and eats it.
If you aren't feeling a pizza, order the knuckle sandwich. It will blow your mind.
You people need to get over the service aspect. The employees are college students who are there to make your pizza and bring it out, not wait on you.

Pizza was good, place is nothing inside and could use a good cleaning but nothing that wasnt expected at a campus pizza joint.

Just stood and waited to order something for 5 minutes. No one around, no pizzas in the warmer. Few crusts with sauce on the rack. Breeze blowing through smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Not very good business practices especially with a concert two blocks away and people wanting food before going.

Must have a super small delivery area as I am .3 miles away and it is too far. Very rude over the phone.

I'm very sorry about your experience, Jenny. I'm not quite sure why we were unable to complete your request, but I assure you this isn't a normal occurrence. We'd love another chance to redeem ourselves in the future, and we're hoping we can make that happen.
Sincerely,

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Combo combo had so much toppings and they sure didnt skimp out on any of it. We ate in and when one of the servers brought out the food he apologized for it being to crispy but I thought it was absolutely AMAZING. The cheese had a nice pull, the sauce wasn't over powering, then pizza held together and the crust was crispy and tasty. To make up for what he considered a mistake he gave us a brownie and cheesy bread on the house, despite us all enjoying out pizzas. Not to mention their brownies and cheesy bread were also really good. So hospitable and would definitely come again if I ever visit Lincoln again.

The first time I went here, we had a groupon. The food was pretty good, but the service was notably bad. The cashier guy was snotty and not helpful at all, even though it was admittedly our first time there. The food seemed overpriced, but the groupon helped. Regarding the subpar service, I usually let that stuff go because everyone and every restaurant has an off day once and a while. I find that on average most places regularly have excellent or satisfactory service.
The next time I gave Lazzari's a chance was when I had a group of girls with me, so we paid full price. We got 3 large pizzas, and the total price was almost $70 dollars. We didn't get any drinks, just water. I was shocked at the price and how the pizza didn't seem to fill everyone up. We actually ordered 2 pizzas, and that wasn't enough, so we had to order another one. It wasn't even that delicious, either. To top it off, I disappointingly received subpar, unfriendly service again.
It seems to me that the guys who work here (I've only ever seen young dude-bro employees) always seem to hate what they're doing. In both my trips there, every one of the service personnel was curt, unhelpful, and seemed like they couldn't be bothered to answer my questions.
If you want pizza, go across the street to Yia-Yias! It's SOOOOOOO much better for the price! There is MUCH better pizza in town for MUCH better prices with MUCH better service. Others may like this place a lot, and maybe individual lunch specials have better deals, but I know that Lincoln can do much better in locally owned pizza shops than Lazzari's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liz H.Des Moines, IA03420Jul 8, 2013
DO NOT BUY A GROUPON FOR THIS PLACE.
I purchased a groupon for Lazzari's because I figured I would go with my friends after the bars (when else do you go to Lazzari's?) The fine print of the groupon already stated that it couldn't be used before 3 pm or on football game days (which I thought was awfully limiting) but when I showed up to use it they refused to accept it saying it was their personal policy not to accept groupons after 10 pm (it was 11:30 pm) and they're open until 3 AM.
The pizza is fine.
Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Yia-Yias or down P street to Toppers or Sam & Louie's.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
