There are always a lot of GROUPONS here, which for some reason makes me very suspicious. It's a nail salon but they do offer facials and lash services.
I was in desperate need to find a place to fill my lash extensions. Nancy the owner was really nice and explained her services.
This place is really cheap if someone is interested in trying out lash extensions; however they were a little crazy. By that I mean, the lashes were facing all different directions. And there was even sign of glue which is a big No-No in the lash world.
I have no problems with the service per se, but this really isn't going to be my go-to place of lashes. I can't speak for the nail services but always check groupon now! they seem to offer a good deal. -

I have been to LaVie nails before w/ a Groupon. I was excited to see a Yelp discount. It is a little pricey, about the same as others. Frustrated w / the owner/ manager, I came mid-afternoon & they weren't busy. I had to wait for her to startup service then she passed me off to another worker as she started another customers service.
But, overall great quality for shellac manicure very precise w/ the application. Theirs usually last 3 weeks when others start to peel in a week & a half. -

I went to Lavie Nails for the first time a week ago to get a shellac pedi and to get a mani and pedi for my four year old daughter. I was super impressed with the quality of the work and the friendly atmosphere. Before leaving I signed up for the rewards program and came back a couple of days later to get french tip acrylic nail with $10 off! I have never had a better experience getting my nails done before. The staff treated me as if I were a regular customer and my nails came out fabulous. I work on the computer all day long so I need my nails really short, generally when I get acrylics the nail techs argue with me about how short I want them, not here, my girl cut them to the perfect length the first time around and I've been loving them ever since.
Lavie offers awesome discounts - google them and take a look. I would also strongly suggest signing up for the rewards program! -

I went with my sis in law a couple weeks ago. The place was nice and clean and they did a decent job on mani/pedi. The massage with the pedi was not the best I've ever had.
I Would not suggest any other services there (waxing, facials etc)
I feel they are comparable to other shops in the same price range.
I will say that everyone there was friendly and nice and they didn't talk to each other in a different language as they were doing our services. -

Before I became a more discriminating Groupon consumer, I purchased a Groupon for a "Relaxing Ultrasonic Facial and Microdermabrasion" which claimed to be regularly priced at $129 (Groupon price $39). I love microderm and I love facials, so I bought it without really looking into the establishment at all.
When I finally called to schedule, I was told that they were in the middle of moving locations and to call back in 2 weeks. That was a little off-putting. I called back and scheduled an appointment, and I could tell at this point that I wasn't dealing with a true "spa."
Finding the place was a bit challenging, not only because the new location is a bit off the main street and the address isn't clearly marked, but because the sign on the salon has a different name. I don't know if that's what it was called before they moved into the space or if they're changing their names or what, but it was confusing.
When I walked in, I realized it was more of what I refer to as a "churn and burn" nail salon (or as another reviewer called it, "swap-meet style"). This is a place where I would go for a quickie mani/pedi, but not for a facial, and especially not microdermabrasion.
There was no front desk person. All the employees were busy doing pedicures, and because I wasn't even sure I was in the right place, I was very frustrated by the lack of acknowledgement/attention/assistance upon arrival. Eventually somebody came up to me, and I showed him my Groupon, and he verified that I was in the right place. He told me to have a seat at one of the nail stations and that someone would be with me.
A full 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I was taken back to the facial room by the woman whom I believe is the owner. The facial room is nothing special, even though she made it a point to tell me that she had just spent $3000 on the new bed, which is now much bigger than the bed she's used to, and it's hard for her to maneuver around it. The room is right next to the main room, and there is no music or anything, so I could hear people talking, phones ringing, etc.; not very relaxing. The facial itself was okay. The microdermabrasion machine that she used was a little different than what I'm used to; it had suction, and it was a little painful. The ultrasonic machine that she used was HOT, like uncomfortably hot. And she left me in the room at least twice for 10-15 minutes, and I think she was tending to walk-in nail clients during that time.
All in all, I was disappointed because when I think of a $130 facial, I expect a day spa atmosphere: fluffy robes, relaxing music, lots of pampering. This was not like that. My skin felt great after, so I'm not saying the facial itself was bad. The experience was not what I was expecting. I would go to this place, as I said, for a quick mani/pedi if it were cheap, but if you think you're going to a spa, this isn't it. -

Hello All - I went to Lavie Nails about 4 weeks ago - I wanted to wait and see how my Schellac nails held up and I have great news to share! Still looking great after 4 weeks! Now, I know I am pushing it, but I expected to be going back to the shop sooner, but YAY! That's awesome!
The shop owner is very nice an accomodating - I went in on a Friday for the first time and it was empty - they ask the majority of their returning clients to make an appointment, which I don't mind. Lavie also offers a rewards program - I believe it costs 5 dollars for the card, but has a 10 dollar credit on it - so your next appointment will be 10.00 off! That is only the first time - as you come in for services you begin to accumulate points based on the total of your services - from what I understand you get 10% - so if I spend fifty bucks I get 5 dollars off my next visit! I don't know - but this is better than any coupon.!
I have my second appointment today - and I will make sure to update the reward card section!
All I can say is that I loved it so much that I am going back - anything with a reward card works for me!!!!! -

exactly.... me thinks NOT.
The photos of this place are highly misrepresentative of the reality of this nail DIVE.
I bought facial GROUPON for my hubby's bday as a nice little treat since he loves getting facials. What did I have him walk into that day for his 2pm appointment? An empty bizarre-like swap meet of a nail salon. The facial area was not set up in a private room or anything it was right by the nail stations. Which were set up right next to the jewelry station.... Which was then set up next to plants for sale station. For real. So while you're getting your face pampered they let nail shavings and acrylic clippings re-enter your skin? W.t.f.
Anyway, he arrived 10 minutes early and yes, maybe they were busy even if it wasn't obvious. The rude lady told him to wait. But then 2:10 rolls by and they're still empty, yet busy?? Time is money, ok? They clearly state that their is no rescheduling appointments so we were prepared to surrender the Groupon.
But then... at 2:45 the owner calls him and says "you can come back if you want?" As if they just realized he had walked out to take a smoke break? You're crazy for coming here in the first place! -

I went in after buying a groupon. This place was like 20minutes out of the way so i called in advance to make an appointment for 330. I called at 220, the lady said they take appointments and asked me to come in at 230? But obviosuly I called because I wanted to come in at a certain point. However she put me down for 330, but then called me back twice after 15-20mins asking me to come in before because she was free..... I'm sorry but I think i made an appointment for the time that works for me the best, im the customer so it should be what i want.
Anyways I am not sure if this is why but the lady who did my nails was absolutely rude. Asked if i wanted to clip of file my nails. I said file, but then relized one nail was bigger then the other so i asked her to clip it. However that was a big deal because she got up set and said " I just asked you if you wanted to clip it and you said no, why do you think i asked?" I honestly did not know what to say?
I also wanted my nails to be painted in a special way, and she didnt understand how so she told me that if i didnt like them that she wasn't going to change them and I would still have to pay. No nail saloon has EVER said that to me in all these years I have been getting my nails done.
Then she turnd on her 10minute timer when it came to the pedicure massage, which wasn't even half way done and she started painting my nails. I honestly only went because i had a very stressful day and needed to relax and get a massage. However this was the worst choice EVER because it made me even more upset, I didnt even get the nail design I wanted or any type of massage, all i had was bad service.
The saloon was clean and nice, but if I dont get what I am paying for, then there are many other options that are just as nice to choose from. -

La Vie Salon delivers excellent service. The atmosphere is great, it's not noisy and the chatting between the nail techs is minimal and professional. Although there may sometimes when there are a lot of clients waiting to get in, I never feel rushed.
I went with my friend and surprised her with a pedicure for her birthday. It was a great way for us to spend time together and treat her. We walked to the consignment shop next door and her polish got scuffed. We went back to La Vie and they fixed it with no charge.
My teen daughter also prefers to go to La Vie for her eyebrow wax. She says that Cindy doesn't make it as painful as other places do.
I recommend this salon all the time to friends and anyone else looking for quality service for their manicure, pedicure and waxing needs. (and so much more) -

Had a basic pedicure here a couple of weeks ago and was pretty happy with it! They took their time, I relaxed, and walked out with soft feet and cute purple toes.
It was not anything extraordinary, in my opinion, but it was a solid good. A little over-priced based on other nail spas I have been to in the area. If a coupon comes in the mail or there is a Groupon for pedicures that comes up, I will probably be back. If I could, I would give the place 3.5 stars. -

I know why there are only four reviews for this wonderful nail salon....you can't see it from the road. It is hidden behind a Discount Tire store! It is located in a nice little strip mall in Gilbert.
I walked in at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. There was no one waiting and I was warmly greeted, asked to pick my polish and shown to a massage chair. My daughter was seated in the chair next to me. We needed pedicures and the ladies were happy to help. This is only the second time my daughter has had a professional pedicure and she loves being pampered. She giggled when her feet were scrubbed and she made the ladies laugh too. I have a medical condition in my right leg and consequently it is tender to the touch. I requested that I not have a massage. Instead I got a nice cooling leg gel very gently rubbed on and beautiful flowers painted on my big toes. My daughter got the cutest flowers painted on hers too. She loved it! She kept saying how pretty her toes looked well on into the evening.
The salon is clean, the ladies were friendly and accomadating and not pushy. I hate pushy people. It is not easy to find a decent nail salon these days. I appreciate it when I do find a good one. I highly reccomend La Vie. They were professionaly, accomadating, and friendly. I will be back! -

I decided to check out this nail salon since it is pretty close to home and they looked to be empty, which meant no wait for me but at the same time I was concerned why are they empty? I went ahead and decided to give them a shot since I like to support my local businesses. I went for the deluxe spa pedicure for 35 dollars which includes, sugar scrub, hot wax treatment, callus removal, massage. The did an excellent job and my toes look so cute. The salon itself seems to be a little dated but it's clean and they sterilize the equipment.
As you enter they have the pedicure spa massage chairs to the right, and to your left they have empty fish tanks. So I asked him while I was getting my spa pedicure what is that for? he said that they actually put hundreds of fish from asia into the tank and you stick your feet in the tank with the fish after your pedicure. What a kooky concept, and apparently its very popular in the east coast and china. If you ask me, I don't think I would ever do that since I think it may be bad for the fish and I don't see the benefit.
Overall cool place for a pedi and they are pretty reasonably priced and clean place. No fish were harmed during this review.
Update: the owner was on fox news, here it is:

Save your money, avoid this place. I would never go there again. If I could give it negative stars, I would.
My 11 year old daughter bought a Groupon for me as special treat for her Dad. I called first to make an appointment, the women who answered the phone was very short with me. I wanted to get an idea how long the appointment, she told me that a Manicure and Pedicure would take about an hour, I did not mention that I had a Groupon on the phone.
When I got there for my appointment, there was only one other customer in the place. I thought to myself this is going to be great, I was there to just chill and relax.
Yeah, that did not happen. I have never seen someone clip my toenails as fast as this women. It was not relaxing at all! On top of that, before she began, she pulled out her upsell sheet.
She actually acted like she was offended that I just wanted the basic. After my less than 10 minute pedicure, I was the only one in the place, so I thought maybe the manicure was going to be relaxing. I was wrong there too.
The women who was giving me my very fast manicure, stopped in the middle and actually answered her cell phone.
I was in and out in 22 minutes. Cindy the owner was there and made the most amazing comment to me. "You can go ahead and leave her tip on the counter" the women who gave me my speed treatments was back on the phone.
It is not spotless, it is a very low quality and they really do not treat you very nice when you present a Groupon.
Buyer Beware
Please drive there first and see for yourself before you ever decide to go there.

I came in with a Groupon and received a mediocre pedicure (polish around the toenails) and a downright horrible manicure (jagged edges on the nails, uneven lengths). The technician even stopped in the middle of the manicure to quickly remove some dead skin from her fingers USING THE SAME TOOLS SHE WAS USING ON ME! She was friendly until I tipped her (20% on the value, so 40% on what I paid for the Groupon), and then she turned and walked away without even a goodbye. Was the friendliness put on until the tip came, or is 20% no longer an acceptable tip to some people? I would never return.

Best service around! I have been to many places because I was seeking a thin layer of acrylic and a non-painful experience! My fingers are very sensitive to the filing and the chemicals. I went to La Vie over a year ago regularly but since moving to Ahwatukee was looking for a place closer to home. Not finding any salon as excellent as La Vie, I will from now on trek all the way over there to get my nails done. La Vie Nails Spa is the best hands down! (pun intended)

I had purchased the Groupon for this salon and made an appointment. The afternoon of my appointment, my infant son grew very ill and was throwing up. Because I was tending to him, I was not able to call and cancel/reschedule my appointment until the next morning.
When I phoned, they coldly told me I could not reschedule and had to forfeit my Groupon certificate, because I never called to cancel 48 in advance. I understand I missed the appointment, but when it is a walk in style nail salon and the cancellation was due to an illness, I am really disappointed they were not more understanding and accomodating.
For a small business trying to gain new customers, they definitely lost this one! -

This place is terrible. I got a french manicure that had bubbles in the white area of my nail. I was so disappointed with their service I went back to inform them. They redid the manicure and it looked even worse the second time (they didn't put on the top coat of nail polish). If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

Holy crap! I just witnessed the lady scold a customer using a Groupon! The customer said she had an appt yesterday and left a message to change it, but no one answered or called her back. So LaVie wouldn't take her, saying that she is still considered canceled under 48 hours, which voids her Groupon. Then the lady told the customer how her no-show impedes business and makes other customers wait. She wouldn't stop scolding the customer, and agreed with the customer that yes, she should call Groupon to get her money back if she wants. Whoa, I will never come here again.

I went here with a Groupon, and was greeted by the tired, unsmiling owner. She offered the shellac upgrade for $17, but I was fine with a regular "natural" mani-pedi for now. The mani-pedi itself was OK, they have a decent selection of colors to choose from. Because I had a Groupon, I felt like I was being treated here like a third class citizen, as the other employees and the owner were a LOT more friendly and tried to engage in conversation with the other patrons, while they were unsmiling, laconic, and worked as quick as they could to finish my mani-pedi, as well as another Groupon customer's mani-pedi. Seriously, if you didn't want to deal with prepaid customers using Groupon, why did you even participate in the program? I thought the idea was to wow the customers with your service and quality, to get the customers to come back. But, to be fair, perhaps some Groupon customers aren't the best? I saw the other Groupon customer with an appointment leave the shop right after the manicurist said she was done, and unless she left the tip when I was not looking, I did not see her leave anything. Groupon people, please tip, and tip based on the regular price!

Had a certificate for a mani/pedi combo but I wanted to get a new acrylic set instead of the mani, and they let me do that and just pay the difference. Very nice and accommodating. They weren't too pushy on trying to up-sell me (like many nail salons are), and I appreciated that. The guy that did my pedi and my new set did an AWESOME job, and I'm sure I'll be back. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that their prices seem a little higher than other nail places in the area.

I received a gift certificate for La Vie and finally had a chance to use it. I got the deluxe spa pedicure (regularly $35) which included sugar exfoliating on my legs and feet, hot paraffin wax on my feet, callus treatment and foot scrub, and foot and leg massage. The nail technician (unfortunately, I didn't get her name) was very friendly and did good work. My favorite part was the hot paraffin wax. I had never had that done on my feet before and thought it sounded weird, but it felt wonderful and was very relaxing. It was nice to get a little pampering, but I don't know that I would go with this particular treatment on a regular basis, just because of the price and the fact that I don't normally need things like the callus treatment. However, La Vie does offer a "natural spa pedicure" for $25 that I would more likely consider getting if I were to come here on a more regular basis.

I went to Lavie nails for the first time, after reading good reviews. However now three days later I wish I had stuck with my usual salon. First off I paid $40 for Acrylic nails, black tips instead of white. The nail tech did an ok job, however he did cut up on of my fingers pretty badly. Also it took him a lot longer then it normally takes at other places. Well any ways, three days later I noticed that two of my nails had come unattached in the back. In the sun this is very obvious. When I wash my hands water gets in between where my real nails and the acrylics have become separated. Well I called up Lavie nails and explained this to them and they said to come back. Well when I got there I got to argue with them as they tried to say it was just the white part of my nails. I explained to them that I realize there is a small white crescent on the back of everyone's nails, and that this is not what I was talking about. When they got my nails under the nail techs light (my nail tech was Jon by the way) It was very obvious where they had come unattached. So I pointed this out. Yet both the nail tech and who I pressume was the manager, both argued this with me. I finally said forget it I'm leaving. but if they come off I will be back. This place had definatly lost my business and I will NOT be taking my entire wedding party here to get their nails done for my wedding. Instead I will be going to Nails of the World on Val Vista and Elliot in the Safeway complex. I have never had a problem there and should never have tried going elsewhere. I gave this place one start because $40 is waaay too much to pay for botched nails.
