Lavender Bouquet Photography

Jason and Cydney are seriously one of the best and I will shout it to the mountain tops until I die!! My now Hubby and I are definitely honest and know when we aren't feeling something or when we feel we made the wrong decision in choosing things... but choosing Lavender Bouquet to do our Wedding was the BEST decision we ever made.

Our wedding was small and had ONE big hiccup (Important family members were late) and so the wedding started later than normal. But with everything that happened, they were AWESOME. They were accommodating by bringing umbrellas when it rained and took everything as it came with the "no worries' attitude!

My husband can be a man of few words most of the time with the "its cool" answer to everything... but he has nothing but kind and sincere words about Jason and Cydney and how wonderful they were the day of.

The pictures made them EVEN MORE AWESOME!!! They came out phenomenal and EVERYONE (and I mean EVERYONE from family, to friends to coworkers) RAVE about our pictures and love them just as much as we do. They have this creative eye for capturing things that I wouldn't have even thought of and when I came up with the idea of getting some pics by my husbands Camaro, they were like "OH YEA LETS DO IT!!"

I will use Lavender Bouquet for EVERYTHING now and will never stop referring them to people who want amazing pictures. Seriously, you will not regret it!

Just know this review won't say enough about Jason and Cydney. Also, I'm sorry it's so much later than when my wedding was in case my coming words left some poor bride and groom from being able to decide to make their wedding memories shine since spring till now.

We had fun at our engagement shoot and learned a lot to help ourselves the day of the wedding. They're great coaches with a keen eye.

These two are imaginative, fun, flexible, and willing to go the distance. Everything was easy with them [ Even though our group may not have been for them! ;) ] Great at managing people for a shot. It's like herding kittens, but they got it!

Wedding day, they were happy to be wherever we were going to be. Organized and stayed on target of our timeline and plans that they requested ahead of time. And actually it was all fashioned after the realllllly helpful guides found on their website. So don't tell them, but they practically planned our wedding day. Shhhhhhhhh

The results speak for themselves through the many mouths of our friends and family being absolutely stunned by their photography. People thought that things were photoshopped that weren't. They do some touch up photoshop work for you and maybe a special embellishment if you like, but they are able to capture amazing angles and lighting that is all them and their talent. You need to know what you look like through their lenses!

Jason and Cydney are who you want to work with for your wedding day. Our Good Friend Events team worked with them on a wedding we planned. They were amazing videographers. They met with the couple in person and did THE CUTEST (well-edited and great story line) video. We played the video at the wedding during dinner and the guests loved it. It was a beautiful intro into their new lives. Jason and Cyd are professional, reliable, EARLY, and experienced. They had top of the line equipment and even showed me a clip of what they took - perfection. I am so thrilled our couple went with them and believe you should too if you want a team to truly give you the best wedding video experience. You are safe with them!

Amazing senior photos of my son! Jason took him on his own and captured photos that I didn't know were possible! My son felt totally comfortable with Jason and the pictures turned out like they belong in a magazine. I can't wait to get Lavender Bouquet to do some family photos for us!

It's taken me a long while to decide whether or not I wanted to write a review. After going through my photos over and over, I've decided I don't want others to not know. We used Lavender Bouquet for our September 2013 wedding. We had interviewed 4 photographers in total, but went with Lavender Bouquet because we felt they were very detailed when we had met. However, this was not the case on our wedding day.

It went from sunny skies to down pour and I'm not sure if that was the reason for lack of. We requested for 2 photographers and got more of a photographer and an assistant. During the ceremony, I expected one photographer to be with the bride, the other to be with the groom. I received ONE photo of the groom's first expression when he saw me, and it was a far away shot where he's in between the heads of our guests.

The photo time after the ceremony was to be one hour. We had arranged an hour of cocktail time, and had explained this at the time we met and re-iterated it in our itinerary we sent prior to the wedding day. Pictures were very rushed. We didn't capture pics of me and my sister, traditional bride and groomsman pics, groom and bridesmaid pics, etch. During the dinner, we walked from table to table greeting our guests. There are MAYBE a handful of pics as we greeted our guests (10 tables, took us an hour to do).

At the end of the night, Lavender Bouquet offers us a re-shoot. I've been to over a dozen weddings and have never heard of this, so of course I'm not confident in the pics taken. We agree to do a re-shoot the following weekend (hair, makeup, tux rental, etch were paid by us).

In the end, the decent pics of us are from the re-shoot. Where you are able to able to take your time and not rush. We received plenty of headshot photos of our bridal party (not sure about that), we received numerous negative comments from our guests about our photographer, we received lots of miscellaneous photos that would never be framed, photos were not well edited (bra straps, tags, blinks, etch). I could go in detail forever, but won't. I would never use Lavender Bouquet or recommend them. I think they were good at the re-shoot, but for a wedding day, you need to be able to quickly think and adapt to the situation, and they definitely didn't display that.

We chose his couple for our sisters wedding and could not be any happier!!! They were the nicest set oh photographers I've ever met! We loved them so much they did our summer family shoot only a few months later. You get so much bang for your buck with these guys!

I used Lavender Bouquet Photography for my wedding in August at the Tacoma Landmark Convention Center. Cydney is a photographer who is creative, innovative, understanding, and flexible. She is one of those photographers who is very outgoing and her smile is contagious. As I've only used her for my wedding, I can confidently say in that in at least that area she will do any pictures you want to do. If you have an idea, she'll incorporate it into the photos. If you have no idea whatsoever, she's very creative and will get shots that you'll love. In the package I paid for, I receive full day coverage, a CD with high-res images and a print release, as well as a coffee table album. I would recommend this business to anybody for special events!

The photographer was late, unprepared and cruised the internet for possible poses while I was there. None of the poses were the natural look I had requested. I can't use any of the portraits made. He requested that i have my hair and make-up professionally done plus bring 4 outfits to choose among, making this expensive and unsatisfactory, especially since there was no place to change privately in his small space. He told me before I left that he has social anxiety disorder. I left shaking, glad that I had exited safely.
