Las Playas de Don Arturo

Spectacular and Delicious.
We visited Port Hueneme beach and needed some food to finish the day. Las Playas de Don Arturo was open late on Sunday. We ordered the Wet chicken burrito and it was delicious. The meal came with Home made Salsa, plenty of chips and lemons.
We really enjoyed the patio outside of the restaurant. The owner was very friendly (look at the pics). I wish we lived closer to Las Playas de Don Arturo.
I highly recommend Las Playas De Don Arturo.

Excellent little restaurant, the inside feels like a cramped subway, but fortunately they have an outside patio. This is definitely classified as a mom and pop place, as the owners wait on you and cook your food. The service was very friendly and enjoyable. They start you off with chips and salsa, both were of great quality and enough heat. They prepare the food with limited salt, so be prepared to add some. Our party ordered fajitas, burrito, tacos and ceviche y pulpo. I had an asada wet burrito and it was delicious and massive. They also offered horchata and jamaica beverages.
We will be back!

After a great day in Santa Monica Mountains, my husband and I tried to find a place bin Malibu, but today was impossible. Lucky us to had stopped in Oxnard and find this place. It is really simple, clean, restroom is universal, and clean! They have two tables outside and we could to stay with our dog. The food is really tasty! The service is really friendly, they gave water for our dog. Thank you! The $wonderful! Cheap! If you live around, please, try this place.

You'll find this gem tucked away in the corner of a strip mall next to Dominos. It certainly doesn't look like much from the exterior but the food inside is absolutely amazing. On our first visit, we had the pulpo y camarón tostadas....man, talk about a knockout combination. The seafood is fresh, the pulpo is soft, and the portions are huge. The cucumber, tomato and lettuce add a nice crunch to the seafood making these the best I've had outside of Mexico.

On our second visit, we had menudo and chicken enchiladas. Again, we were blown away by the flavors. Their enchiladas sauce is homemade and very tasty. I look forward to going back to try different items on the menu.

Best of all however, is the humble pride with which the owners serve you. From the grandkids to Don Arturo himself, this is a family restaurant where you feel welcomed and cared for. I will end this as I started it...this place is a gem worth hunting for.

Outstanding customer service. What I ordered wasnt a 10 but their attentiveness, friendliness, and great service won me over. Plan on continuing to go back and support this mom and pop place. We need more places like this. My husband ordered the menudo and was amazing! I ordered the Mexican omelette.

I am from the south bay but when ever I am in the city of Oxnard I must stop by this place great authentic Mexican food with a excellent service what more do you need don't forget to stop by and get some agua chiles or camarones a la diabla they are Sinaloa style what I love is that they are not super spicy just enough to eat comfortable

Great spot to enjoy some Mexican seafood. Ceviche and the shrimp wrapped bacon are my favorite.

best restaurant, hands down ( the waiters/cashier was so attentive) will be going again!!! 10/10 recommend

Came in 30 min before closing time and ordered 3 taco combo and they heated up my tortilla and meat on the microwave and served it like that. Will not be returning. I really wished I could review this place a 0 star but i have to give this place with a one stare even tho they don't even deserve that 1 star credit.
