We checked in last minute on valentine's day and no problem. Very clean room, fully stocked. Good breakfast but mostly breads. Would stay again, only downfall was the keys. They don't work on the first trey

One word to describe our room... "YUCK"
Wish there was a better hotel chain that accepted pets. We are so tired of staying in unclean and dilapidated rooms.
Got here tonight at 9pm with reservation. The fan on heater/AC doesn't work on low and it stinks, blowing out odors like moisture. The bathroom ceiling has flakes falling down and rust on it. The fridge door wouldn't open because no one was smart enough to put the legs down. We put the legs down and water came pouring out of the back. It was never installed right. Now the floor is wet and we used one towel on the floor. We don't feel like moving from room to room as it's late, we are tired and my husband is sick. This happened at the last LaQuinta we stayed at. They moved us 3 times before the room was decent to sleep in.
This room was free with our points but it's the last straw. We aren't from here so not sure where else to stay for medical treatment with our traveling pet. It really gets hard.

I wanted to give a chance to this particular hotel, since I had previously stayed at La Quinta locations in the past with no complaints whatsoever. It was actually the last available hotel in the medical district according to hotels.com.

This location is easy and convenient to find. Upon entering, the dim-lit lobby area appeared damp, with circa 1990 furnishings. However, this did not deter me from continuing my stay at this location.

A very sweet young girl helped get my mother and I our hotel room reservation completed. While an older, more serious gentleman stood nearby (I'm assuming the owner).

Parking was convenient and nearby our room. A total of 3 floors occupy the hotel. We were on the 3rd. The 2nd floor had several gentleman sitting on hotel chairs (that they had brought outside). Honestly, the whole scene did not look safe for a young girl by herself. Later on we did see 2-3 ladies who were not fully dressed hanging out with these gentleman. They disappeared shortly after the girls arrived (I'm assuming into their respective rooms).

The room had a humid, damp-like feel to it. Normally in hotels we stay at, the AC takes a few minutes to cool the room but this particular AC did not cool down the room properly throughout the night.

On the carpet floor we found an old prescription bottle, candy wrappers, large crumbs of food. Clearly, the room had not been cleaned even by minimum standards. Light switches did not work, we had to fervently search for another light source (ie the lamps towards the center of the room).

Bathroom vanity area did not have proper lighting as well (very dim). The bathtub and toilet area looked decent to the unobserving onlooker. However, upon closer inspection old shampoo droplets/spills/grime were found on the edges of the tub as well as on the door. The bathroom floor had dirt and clearly had not been swept.

The beds were okay but we brought our own sheets and slept on top of those. So I can't say too much about the beds other than, I would not sleep directly on their sheets.

By morning, we were eager to leave. No toiletries were available either (i.e. toothpaste, etc).

Oh and do not eat the pastries regardless of their vacuum sealed packaging. They tasted awful. So awful, my dog spit it out.

We will definitely not return to this La Quinta location, which is very disappointing because we do like staying at La Quinta Inn locations.

The nice thing about this stay was the $89.00 price... $100.00 with taxes and fees but you get what you pay for; for this reason, I rate this location 2 stars. Also, it's Houston which makes finding a hotel near/in the medical district very difficult. If you need something cheap and quick near the medical district and don't mind the conditions; this is your place! It's also pet friendly so that's a plus!

It wasn't a bad location but seemed disorganized. My room seemed clean and I didn't have any noise issues or anything.

3 star customer service ... "0" for rooms ... I understand that for the price you pay you should not expect much.. But just had to post how the room was.. Smelling, bathroom mold not cool why I visited my granddaughters there... Cleaning people need to be trained properly, they need to stop being lazy and have you guys ever heard of Clorox??? It does wonders!! And doesn't cost much!!! And can your cleaning people not place stained towels!! Just saying!!! Hope corporate does a better job in training there people especially the cleaning staff!! Had to add paid for my family to stay at cleaner hotel!!!

Used to be nice enough. Today first room had toilet running with water all over the bathroom floor, dirty mirror and grime on tub. Second room smelled strongly of smoke and deodorizer with cigarette burns on the tub, hair and dirt in and around the sink, really gross mold in fridge, on shower curtain and grimy tub mat. sad.

Checked in about 5pm and the requested type room was not held. Rented two rooms as we are in town for a funeral. My room smelled of urine. I asked the front desk for air freshener. Front dish said they would look for some and call me right back. It's been almost 3 hours without a call. Wood floors in the restroom look a bit old and the floor around the toilet is where the smell is coming from, yuck!

For the same price that you pay here, you can get a better stay almost anywhere else. I use this location as a last resort. Old rooms, right off the 610 freeway. Only 1 entrance. Staff is helpful at least but other than that, wouldn't recommend.

Fantastic customer service. Delisa at the front desk was so professional and attentive. Breakfast was great and rooms were very clean. Shuttle driver went above and beyond for my family. We were treated with the most care and concern by the entire staff. Management has done a terrific job with his team. Thanks for the most pleasant experience during our challenging time.

So we had a family emergency and drove 6 hours to get here. At first glance the room looked acceptable. Once we looked closely we were disgusted. There were drops of blood all over the bed and they looked fresh. I went down stairs and complained and they gave us another room but they made us feel like it was our fault. The next morning we put a do not disturb sing on the door as we didn't want anyone in our room while we were not there. When we came back we noticed they had come in our room and cleaned it anyway. We were to tiered to complain so we just went to sleep. The next morning we found blood on the sheets again, they were the same sheets that were in the other room but washed. To top it off the tub would fill with water as you took a bath because the drain was semi -clogged. Never again
