We've stayed in a lot of La Quinta hotels and this one was one of the better ones. We got the king suite and it was indeed a true bedroom. The bathroom was a hoot - the tub was jetted and seriously close to the size of an average square hot tub. Tbh we didn't shower so I can't say if it was good or not. The king bed was a bit lumpy but plenty of space for us and a kid while the other kid slept on the pullout sofa. Two nice TVs help reduce the arguing over what to watch (they watched the same things ). Breakfast was actually pretty good - decent options but crap coffee. Win some lose some. The place is in a stop
Mall with all the fast food options, a decent Mexican joint and a grocery store. Right off the highway...maybe too close.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bernie M.Greenville, SC032678Jan 6, 2022
DIRTY ROOM. Dirt in the corner of the door, dirt in the bathroom tub, dust and cobwebs in the corners of the room, the exhaust fam dand on all of the lamps.
There were fingerprints on the hair dryer, makeup mirror, desktop and phone buttons so I don't think these areas were disinfected. The window sill had some type of bugs stuck in the dust.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 13136138Jul 21, 2022
Great location! Very clean and updated rooms. Prompt service checking in. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

This place was funky. The paint was chipped on the walls and door. The bed was OK. The shower was old and funky. I would stay at the Sleep Inn next time.

My brother and I stopped here for one night passing through while on a road trip.
PROS: The beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower was hot and came with plenty of towels. The room came with all expected amenities (TV, microwave, refrigerator, desk, chair, etc.).
CONS: The breakfast was gross, specifically the hash browns. Would not recommend.
CONCLUSION: You get what you pay for. We didn't have high expectations, and this room worked for what we needed it to. We would stay here again if we were in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 19, 2022Previous reviewMy brother and I stayed here passing through Charleston on a road trip. Overall, we had a positive experience.
PROS: The room was clean. The bathroom was quite large and they had a massive mirror outside of it. The shower water got nice and hot. The AC in the room was nice and chilly. The room came with all expected amenities. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were good. The hotel also came with breakfast in the morning, which had the usual spread.
CONS: The water pressure in the shower was low. The breakfast they offered wasn't the best, but I also didn't have high expectations. I wish they had orange juice and eggs. I tried the hash browns and regretted it immediately, but the bagel and cream cheese was good.
Overall, I would stay again if just passing through. West Virginia is beautiful! - Donna T.Los Angeles, CA05Apr 17, 2023
Christian at the La Quinta Inn helped with reservations for my trip with my husband and our two dogs. Eventually we had to cancel out our previous date for a later one but it was no problem, Christian and Jacob helped to make the necessary changes. The entire staff at La Quinta was very professional and friendly, especially two lovely women named Connie and Bettsy, they have made my husband and I feel very welcome. This is a very friendly and clean place, with comfortable beds and it is extremely dog friendly. We will soon be making West Virginia our home and I will gladly stop by to say hello to the wonderful staff, along with recommending La Quinta to anyone who likes to travel.

This may be the nicest and best La Quinta Inn experience for us. First, the exterior of the inn is decorated with hand painted pumpkins and fall decor. The interior is just as cozy, with owls and other things fall. After speaking with the friendly front desk clerk, she stated that the owner painted the pumpkins and some rocks on display. There was definitely a home town feeling with the decor and the friendly employees.
The room was very clean and well stocked. There was even a makeup remover towel in the restroom. The tv provider was DirecTV--well done! Lighting was ambient and lamps were well placed in the room. There was a Keurig in the room stocked with four different coffee/tea options. There was also a small refrigerator and microwave. The restroom was very clean and well stocked with bath linens. The only complaint: the shower floor felt a bit slippery and water was pulling during my shower. Upon checkout, I alerted the front desk clerk and he immediately placed a service order for maintenance. The bed was nice and firm--but not too firm--and there were enough pillows of varying firmness to accommodate us.
Now for the breakfast. There was such a nice selection of foods. Having food allergies, I asked the food service employee about ingredients/additives. Surprisingly, the hash browns were baked without any additives and the apples were baked only with cinnamon and brown sugar. The scrambled eggs were fresh. My husband said that the biscuits were good (stored in a warming drawer), the sausage was good, and the fresh bacon was nice and thick--not thin, precooked, or microwaved. There was also a waffle station, oatmeal, grits, biscuits and white sausage gravy, yogurt, fruit, donuts, bagels, two types of juice, water bottles upon request, fresh Starbucks coffee, and hot water for tea. The food service employee was very friendly and helpful.
Checkout was a breeze. The morning front desk employee was equally as friendly as the employee working the night before when we checked in. I cannot say enough nice things about this experience!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David H.Richlands, NC5814117Mar 13, 2021
Came in late and counter lady helped me immediately. I wanted a soda and she explained it was cash only for the sodas. I didn't have any cash so the counter lady bought me the soda out of her own pocket. Thank you!!
The room was clean and what I expected for the price.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amal H.Racine, WI01Aug 4, 2022
We booked online however when we arrived they had no more rooms. The 2 guys at the front desk however were very accommodating and we're able to get a work-around. A major problem we encountered was the amount of ants in our room. They were crawling on most of the table surfaces. We were only in for a few hours of sleep but I would not recommend the place. The two stars are solely for the front desk staff.
