LA AutoGlass Winaffix

These folks were great; from the representatives that I spoke with on the phone to schedule the replacement of my windshield to the very nice, professional technician who did the work. I had initially wanted to drop my car off at a repair shop of one of Winaffix's competitors and return to pick it up later but there were no locations near me who either had my glass in stock or had appointment availability. Winaffix mobile service allowed me to pick a time and location that worked for me and they were lower in cost than the other bid I had received. I am very satisfied with their work -- highly recommend!

Their quote for my gt amg was less than half what the dealership quoted me and it was for an OEM. Prior to placing my order to finalize everything, they actually risked losing the job by informing me that my windshield might be covered by my insurance which ended up being the case. They even made this suggestion knowing my insurance would not work with them.

They saved me over a $1,500 as a result. Anyone willing to risk losing business at the benefit of the customer deserves 5 stars and at the very least your consideration and a phone call.

I had an appointment scheduled today for a windshield replacement and no one showed up. Called and emailed. No response.
How unreliable and a waste of time.

The owner Ian called and quickly tried to resolve the issue. we were able to reschedule for the following week. He gave me a discount for the inconvenience. The technician was a bit late but he did a good job.

I called this morning for chip repair on my windshield. They no longer repair chips in windshields yet still advertise as such.
Unpleasant and very abrupt on the phone call. I would have been willing to consider whole new windshield but the woman hung up before I could even ask for a quote and most importantly, the timing.

The worst service in the window repair business! I dont even know where to start with these amateur's. TLD version: Save your money and time and go elsewhere! Trust me!

I called them to get a quote on a glass replacement for my Mclaren 570S and spoke to Jasmine. She said it would cost $600 for the parts and labor but it was out of stock and that I will have to wait 2 weeks until it arrives. I agreed, and said thats fine. Fast forward 2 weeks later, no phone call, no email...nothing. I called them a few days later after the 2 initial weeks to find out why I didnt get a call back...turns out the window didnt arrive and I had to wait another 2 weeks! Where was my phone call to notify me?

Fast forward 2 more weeks and I have to receive a call. So once again I called Jasmine asking for an update. She said the glass arrived at a warehouse and that they will call me to set an appointment. I waited a few more days and decided to call them again to set my appointment because clearly they never return any calls back. YOU have to do the calling!

My appointment was set for the following day. I was excited and looking forward to getting my window replaced so that I can finally rent out the car again. The day came and I what a surprise! I got a call from Jasmine stating the guy is running late and wont be able to make it. Thats fantastic! I only took a day out of work so I can sit on my bum all day waiting for this window to get replaced. Oh well, stuff like this happens, I get it. But, it gets better trust me.

The guy shows up the following day, replaces the window. I go and inspect the window and hear all the broken glass still inside the door, it rattles so much when you lift the doors that it sounds like a childrens toy filled with rocks. On top of that the glass screeches every time it goes up and down because it is getting scratched against the glass when it does that. I told the person (who barely spoke any english btw) that it does that and there is still glass in the window and all he did was nod at me. I guess he didnt understand what I was saying. Horrible work on replacing the window! How are you going to leave the broken glass inside the door? Wth am I paying for here?

Fast forward a week later, I checked my bank statement and saw that they charged me $780 for the repair when I was originally quoted $600. Seriously? What type of armature business are these scammers running here?

I will be filing a claim with my bank to get my money back if they dont offer to refund or fix the crappy work that they have done to my car. Take your money elsewhere, you guys will thank me later!

Don't know why I chose These guys but I'm glad I did. They didn't ask for a deposit - show up on time - did the work in less than an hour - hopefully I won't have to use them again

My front driver-side window was broken into, completely shattered. I called and was able to schedule an appointment for the following afternoon. The technician arrived at my car around 3 pm, and it took half an hour to complete the job. I tested the window, it looked and functioned as expected, minus some glass rattling in the door which later resolved.

I experienced some frustrating communication issues following the repair. Previous reviews mentioned that LA AutoGlass deals with insurance - they do not (or at least, didn't for me!). I also asked them about the publicized quote for $100 off the deductible, and they told me that was not available.

When I called to request an itemized receipt for insurance, they told me I could expect to receive one that same day, but I never did. I called to follow up and was again told I would receive one that same day, and again did not - this happened for 6 days. I wanted to delay posting a review so it could hopefully be more positive, but I still haven't heard back and at this point I'm unsure if I ever will.

I read a bunch of reviews before I decided to give these guys a shot. I got a quote through their website. They responded right away and it was about $100 cheaper than Safelite's quote. They set up an appointment for the next morning, arrived on on time, and did the work in about an hour. I tipped him 5%. It's not an OEM windshield but I don't care about that, it's not broken and I won't have to worry about getting a ticket now.

All in including taxes and tip, I paid $456.66 for my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. No regrets here.

They were faster than the shop I usually go to. He did a great job. The reason I chose to write this review is because he cleaned the broken glass from the break in. I was in a rush, so I didn't actually open the door till later to notice it. What a surprise! I'm so glad I tipped this guy.
